Rod looked over at the woman, noting the sound of gunfire with little interest. Her gun was pointed at him, and Rod gave a wry eye to the woman.
His every step dented the ground beneath him, the tiles cracking and spattering chips of hard granite every which way, Rod's tail lazily flopping back and forth.
His speed was sudden, so freakishly fast the woman wouldn't have been able to gasp in the time Rod had reached her, towering over her in his horrible magnificence. Slowly putting his hand around the barrel of the gun, Rod would crush it as if it were mere aluminum, softly taking it from her hands, slinging the crushed remains down and away.
"Go home. Go home and lock your door." Rod grimly spoke, brushing by the woman without a second glance, his tail immediately slinging around the corner, his senses trailing other prey..
"But you..." Rod blocked the only exit out of the room, the smell of blood on the air, and Rod crouched, staring at the now helpless meta-human. Rod slung himself forward, his tail whipping around the room full circle.
Anything caught in it's path would be shredded like paper, simply torn to ribbons.

Teshoumaru was about to answer when his cell phone vibrated. He reaches down, grabs it, then brings it up in front of him. Two words, from the number Trinity had called earlier. He sighs in frustration. He glances at Gidget and Trinity as he says calmly, "I'm sorry, but I have to leave on an important errand. It seems Gidget's brother can't bring your mother home right this moment. I am going to leave now and retrieve her. Kage-chan, you will remain here and finish your meal so we can get back to training when I return. I'll be back in less than three minutes. Please excuse me."

He raises out of his seat and holds his hands together in a strange formation. He falls into his shadow and opens his eyes to see Gidget and Trinity both looking very confused. He concentrates on the hospital. The world around him shifts and twists, then comes into focus as he stands in front of the hospital. He sees a woman crouching down inside of a limo. She bears a heavy resemblance to Trinity. He walks through the shadow being created by the awning and appears outside of the limo. He knocks on the window and asks, "Are you Trinity Smith's mother?"

Shane curses and grumbles as he runs down the stairwell after Alabaster. His profession doesn't leave much time for physical exercise, and he is feeling his heart pump battery acid into his muscles. He finally makes it to the lobby floor, only to be answered with an enormous metal tail barely missing his neck as it is swings around the room. Shane's eyes go wide with surprise and fright as he stumbles back and lands on his backside.

He quickly adjusts his glasses and looks back into the lobby. He sees Lily laying on the floor hugging her knees to her chest. He knows this look, another psychic backlash has finally broken her. Braving the giant metal limb, and the very dangerous thing it belongs to, he scrambles over to Lily and grabs her shoulders. He shakes her vigorously, trying to rouse her. "Lily, Lily snap out of it! C'mon we have to get out of here and I'm too damn weak to carry you very far."

Teshoumaru shakes his head, "I wouldn't say I'm with Shane, but I know of him. His sister is the one who alerted me when you and your daughter were in danger this morning. She called you from my cell phone, and so your message reached me before it did her. Speaking of which, I'm certain she is very worried about you right now. Take my hand and we will go to her immediately. Do not worry about Shane for now, I will return here after you are safe and with Trinity."

He holds his hand out to her politely while making sure that he is still within the shadow of the awning.

Gidget thinks for a moment. If Teshoumaru is anything like Freya, then what he says will happen will definitely happen. Except in his case it will happen with less chaos. However, she smiles at Trinity and says, "You can count on me."

The young man look back at her pensively, then his eyes start to wander as though he were invested in a very deep thought. "I honestly doubt that your decomposing body would be able to do any real harm to the ecosystem. I'd have to say that I am about 90% certain of that. That ten percent is reserved for the unknown possibility that you actually have highly caustic blood. As far as when the results will come in. Once these vials are done spinning in the next few minutes, I'll have them ready before you can finish listening to "Won't get Fooled Again." Of course you can't cheat and skip the organ solos." He says with a playful wink.

Shane's face turns a dark red. He felt bad before, but now he is just plain humiliated. He quickly stammers, "I'll be more than happy to shake your hand in the near future Daisy, but right now we have to get the hell out of here. I can carry her piggy back, I just need help getting her on my back. I can't piggy back someone who is limp."

Mrs. Smith felt a sense of relief when she heard the man speak. He recognized Shane as Gidget's brother which was definitely consistent. As he told her that it was because Gidget made the call her daughter is now alive and safe. She was in Gidget's debt. She felt certain of the man's intentions as he pointed out that he recieved her message because he let Trinity use his phone and took his hand as he explained that he would take her to Trinity and come back for Shane.



She grins back and watches her watch. It was 3:33 as soon as clicks to the next minute she and Gidget would head in, but probably check with Gidget if she needed anything before they left. She was after all wearing a heavy duty suit when she first saw her and would probably need it for what ever they were up against. The watch continues to tick.

"Very well," Daisy said smiling a winning smile at him- it would be charming on most, but on her it looked insincere and cold. As she carried the girl she said through gritted teeth, "You are exactly the type of man I can't stand. You lack a back bone. And are hiding behind a girl. It is pathetic. I shouldn't be that much stronger than you..."

Daisy rolled her eyes and followed Shane to the car, and placed the girl in the back seat and slid in with her, supporting Lily's head on her lap. Under her breath she muttered, "Men... they are absolutely useless."

Smiling she looked up at Shane through the rear view mirror and added, "I didn't say you didn't offer to carry her. I merely don't believe in delegating tasks to someone when I can take care of it better. Don't worry, I'm sure these are all reasons I didn't end up getting married and am still single as my mother likes to point out."

Glancing out the window she waved a hand at the scene out the window and asked, "So, where are we headed? And can you catch me up on what is going on?"

As Mrs. Smith was in Teshoumaru she thought, Glad my husband wasn't here to see this... she held her breath and held on tight as they fell. Is this what Trinity goes through every time she shadow travel's? She found it weird that all of the sudden she was on her knees and had to caution hitting her head for she was under a table. She took his hand as she got out from under the table and smiles as she sees her daughter sitting at a table with Gadget.



There were seconds left before she was going to take Gidget's hand prepare for heading over there. It was silent as the second hand comes close to the last second. She was concentrated on her watch that she was startled at the sound of his voice "Gah!" the girl jumped. She got out of her seat and looked at the source. She cleared her voice and heads toward them "In the nick of time sensei. Another second and I would have come after you with Gidget."

Her attention was her mom, her eyes glistened with tears. A moment ago there was a chance that she wouldn't see her again. "Mom" she let's out. She runs over to her and practically glomps her.

Her mother steps back on her daughter's impact. She smiles and touches her hair and holds her tight, tears welled as she thought a moment ago she wouldn't see her daughter's long purple hair that her fingers now are weaved in. "I'm alright. I'm safe now." her eyes look at Teshoumaru, "Thank you so much Mr...?"
