Well the Imps were able to track the Falcon from somewhere between Alderaan and Yavin.

FrozenPhoenix32 Well the Imps were able to track the Falcon from somewhere between Alderaan and Yavin. That's military grade though. not LE. Law enforcement always gets the shaft.

So it'll be a little smaller than that.
Two light years? that seems too small though..

True enough. any homing becon that the Death Star Personnel had access to would naturaly have been top of the line. Its the Sithin' death star for crying out loud.

From what I'm reading here on ye auld Wookieepedia, a homing becon can still transmit the vessel's location even after multiple hyperspace jumps, relaying information through the holonet. I'm willing to bet though that they have a finite lifespan.

Hey Des? Why would Kuat want protection from one of their biggest customers? and Peace treaties don't seem like the sort of thing Prime's forces would be all too interested in.

Junta, a word of advice: Dont simply walk in on a gunfight. You'll suffer from what we gunfighters call "Mike William's Disease". Its usually fatal.

What he's refering to is when, after a gunfight in Abeline in 1871, Wild Bill Hickok accedentally shot his friend, Deputy Marshall Mike Williams when Williams came around a corner to help Bill. Bill shot him twice and killed him, mistaking him for an enemy.
