"Aw, you never said anything about that... I'll miss you." Lorey tiptoed to kiss him. Really, she hated the idea of being alone at night again, but it would only be for one night.
"But I just wanted to hang around outside today. Nothing really exciting."
Damian nodded, and said nothing. What Raquel wanted to do would be fine with him, as he was truly trusting at this point. It was Nat would he didn't really trust. He'd hurt Raquel once, and would no doubt do it again if he had the chance.

"It is if I'm with you..." He smiled a goofy grin, kissing her sweetly. "We can even have a little mini picnic in the garden if you'd like..." He offered with a smile.
Raquel was short on the phone, returning to the kitchen with a casual soft smile, yet slightly conflicted eyes as she picked her spaghetti back up. "Sounds like you two have your day planned out. What about you Damey-ian..." She corrected herself, blushing, remembering her promise to keep the nicknames quiet.

"That would be wonderful!" Lorey had the biggest smile on her face. It seemed like Richard would pick up on all the little things at just the right time. Of course, he didn't always, but who ever could? Men aren't detail people. Except for Damian.
He was just a little frazzled that she'd almost let his nickname slip. Such an embarrassing one, too.
"Well, I'm not so sure. I know a few hours have to be spent doing some business things, and if catastrophe doesn't strike there, we should have some time together."

Richard blushed slightly, Lorey's smile always putting the pink back into his cheeks. "T-then it's a date." He smiled as he hugged her once more before turning to punch in some buttons for their little picnic.
Raquel smiled slightly, feeling slightly sad they couldn't spend the day so carefree and together like RIchard and Lorey, but then again, they weren't a engaged couple who both had regular jobs and needed everymoment they could get. She felt kind of lazy and worthless jusr hanging around the house, doing little but endulging with Damian every now and then. "If theres anything I could help with, let me know-.." She spoke up, though she realized she wasn't really qualified to do much of anything, making her feel slightly inadequate for him. "Otherwise, I think I'll just spend the day reclused in my books and music." She added, wanting to get a chance to read any how.

Damian nodded. She did need more time to herself if she was going to survive going to school like she wanted to. Plus, he had been neglecting his own work and needed to make sure everything was alright with several investments and small businesses he had helped start.
"And if you need help, I'll be right here as well." He turned to go make some coffee or the afternoon. He would need to be alert and on his toes for the upcoming hours at the computer, chatting live with people.
Lorey watched as Richard picked out things, and every now and then slipped her fingers between his to choose something different for herself.
"Where are you going exactly? Anyplace exciting?"

"I'll be fine..." She sighed, putting her dish in the sink, turning to leave. "Ah-" She stopped, looking back at him, hanigng on the doorway. "Would...it be alright if I headed into town? I needed to pick up some things, and Nat said he still wanted to meet up...would that be ok?" She asked, waiting for an answer from Damian, as if she were a little puppy waiting for approval.
Richard shrugged, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Im not really sure jsut yet. He said he'd send me information on the delivery either tonight of first thing tommorrow. It was sort of a last minute thing and all his other men were already off on some other job..." He sighed. "But it wont take me too long, and in no time, I'll be back where I belong in your arms love.." he looked to her, smiling slightly before finishing up ordering.

He was terribly confused. Why was she asking him for permission?
"Sure?" Damian smiled awkwardly and shrugged. "I'm not your keeper, Raquel. You tell me what you're doing today."
"Alright. Just be safe... and tell Enty to take care of you." Lorey reached up to pat his cheek. Really, she was very worried about him, but he'd traveled so much before they'd met that she trusted he would know what he was doing.

Raquel bit her lip, comming over quickly to peck his lips sweetly. "Thank you. I know, but I still- oh nevermind..." She kissed him again, only a little deeper this time. "I'm going to go change, and then I'll be off..." She smiled, heading back to gather her things form last night before heading back to her room.
Richard smiled and nodded. "Of course, when I'm not keeping his furry little butt out of trouble, He'll be keepin an eye on me." He joked, kissing her nose gently.

Lorey smiled and giggled like she always did when he kissed her nose. "I'll go get a big blanket and spread it out, alright? You can handle all that food with your big muscles."
A compliment would always get her out of doing heavy lifting. She'd been doing that at work, and while it was helping her gain strength, her lower back had been hurting. She didn't want to worry Richard with that, though, and so never said anything.

Richard smiled, sihging as he nodded, even going off to find a cliche old basket to use. He then pcaked it with the foods. "I'll join you in a moment love." He smiled as he hurriedly threw it together before tailingafter her. Raquel reemerged a few minutes later, dressed to kill on more innocent terms. Shw was wearing a cute little summerdress, with matching yellow sandals, and a green and her old bag. Her hair she had pulled out of his pony tail and tried to finish drying it with the hair dryer to make it curl at the ends more like she liked it, putting on some light make up to brighten her up even more. She came out to the kitchen, grabbing an apple for the road and to see Damian once more. "I shouldn't be gone too long...I'll be back around dinnertime, more or less..." she shrugged, leaning up to kiss him once more. "Do I look alright?" She asked, turning around for him to get a look at her.

Lorey had spread the blanket out underneath the large tree in the yard. Trees were so hard to come by, she realized. Especially ones like this. She supposed it had been specially grown for the property, like rooftop gardens had been for the bigger buildings.
Just as she got everything in order, Richard came out with a basket he must have found somewhere.
"Well look at you!" she said, smiling at how he looked when he walked and saw her. It sent butterflies through her stomach every time.
Damian spun her around once to have a good look.
"You are beautiful... Truly. Just do be careful as you're going out. Meet someplace safe and in the eyes of the public. Don't be afraid to call me if something goes wrong..."
Clearly he wasn't trusting of anything anymore involving her and a man alone.

Richard blushed, having a thermos of lemonade between his teath, stumbling like a gawky teen to put the things down near her. "Good call on our plan for the day. It's so beautiful out here and everything smells fresh form the rain..." He noted, trying not to let her make him as nervous as she did by just being her. He did have to note however how nice it was since everything seemed dryer too...
Raquel sighed, pulling him into a tight hug. "Nat's not like that. He's been my guardian angel despite me not letting him in as close as I let you emotional wise. He's not the sex mongoring type like Chase, he didn't even really want to sleep with me, knowing my career and the stress and emotional crap from it...he hated it but couldn't get me toaccept any help form him money or job wise. Though when we finally did, and I first learned abotu his trip, he told me that he would just not go, to be with me. I said that was rediculous and didn't want the guilt... So he went. He says he feels terrible for it, even htough we both know he made the right choice..." She explained, her mind drifting off. "...so dont worry ok? He's still my protective little Nat, and wont let anyone hurt me. ok?" She asked with big eyes, leaning up to get closer to his lips, begging for a kiss.

Lorey waited until the thermos was put down along with everything else before placing her hands on his cheeks and kissing him. He was just so adorable that she could hardly keep herself from doing otherwise.
"Thank you for bringing everything out for me." Lorey sat down, shifting uncomfortably for a second as her back gave a twinge. Really, she thought. Darn heavy basket arrangements.
"...alright."
Damian gave her a big hug that lifted her right off the ground, and a kiss that would leave her breathless regardless of being squeezed so hard.

Richard noticed her strange shift, taking a seat near her. "Hun... are you feeling alright?" He asked, taking her chin to make her look up at him so she'd tell him the truth.
Raquel's face was a deep red when he frinally let her go. She was almost unable to keep herself balanced as she giggled slightly, giving him a softer hug. "I'll be back soon..." She leaned up kissing him tenderly, lingering jsut a moment to kill her previous dizziness before pulling away. "And I promise I'll be ok." She smiled before readjusting her bag and heading for the door. She did hesitate slightly, turning and giving him one last sweet smile, before heading out the door.

Lorey blushed that time. His brown eyes asked her a question, and she was powerless to tell a lie.
"Just pulled a muscle or something, in my back. I'm alright, really, no need to worry..." She smiled, even if the face looking back at her was worried.
Damian watched her leave, and gave her a small wave before she was out the door and out of his sight. Instinct told him to go after her, to go with her, but reason said no. She was alright without him all this time, and she would remain that way with a friend.
It would be alright.
