Little Normandy Three thousand years? That, right there, is awesome. I think its the most fantastic thing when an author keeps their stories in the same world. As a reader it is so cool to be able to make the connection between all the books. I used to play around with my own ideas of an alternate world... but I could never come up with anything better than this world. However, its been five or six years since that, and now I think I might try again... But then again, I shouldn't be distracting myself from my current novel. I'll put it on the back burner for now. smile I love C.S. Lewis. And I've never read Tolkien's books, but I loved the LOTR movies (I know there are always differences between book and movie, but I feel like the LOTR movies were pretty damn awesome anyway). Have you ever read Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan? I haven't, but my dad has and they are his favorite authors, right up there with Tolkien. I know what you mean. I just started with medieval era then went on to build the countries which would be interracted with.. and it just kept going outwards from there. Heh I usually have at least a dozen books (or series since they often turn into that instead of single books) going at the same time. Ah.. the LOTR books are just deeper than the movies.. It is hard to fit such big books into movies without chopping out a lot of stuff. There were some scenes from the first book that didn't make it into the movie so I was sad.. but I know it always happens. I'm not sure of Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan.. I used to read tons but not so much anymore. Agatha Christie is another of my favorite authors..heh love the way she crafts her characters for the mysteries she writes. I've gotten a lot more inspiration from movies and TV shows since I went to college.. I suppose that makes sense because of going from no TV in the home to a TV at college heh

I suppose that makes sense because of going from no TV in the home to a TV at college heh Now that I've started college I don't have time for books either- except for textbooks, that is XP. But there is always time for T.V. or a good movie. The last really great movie I saw was 'In Time'. Although its a totally different genre and time era than I write, I loved to see the struggle between the social classes. Although I have a lot of ideas, I only take few seriously enough to write about. I have 4 stories I'm working on right now, and that's all I'll have for a while. Two are still under heavy development. Two are in the writing process. The rest of my ideas are usually just fun day dreams. Their plots aren't complex or original enough to be worth writing. However, I keep them on a back burner, cause you never know...

But I was able to write a book and several side-stories while still going to college. I wasn't serious about the books until I was propositioned, so I didn't really start publishing until the last year of college. Amazing enough the official publication date of my twin's concurrent series is the same day as my graduation date. It's good to have a bunch of ideas around.. you might be able to turn one into a big book. Focusing on just one or two to finish up is a good idea too.. that's something I still struggle with though, oops

But, its not nearly as good as your consistency with writing. I have written one full novel but it was such a wreck I've completely abandoned it. I took the best characters and stuck them in another story (yes, I do that sometimes). However, I don't have a constant writing pattern. The last few weeks I've been getting some writing done during my free hours at college, but I know its not enough. That's a great coincidence about you and your twin (which, its cool to find out you have a twin). My graduation seems so far away... anyway, I like college a lot better than highschool.

I have several writer friends, but don't know anyone quite so overboard with the multi-tasking I do. Ah, I know what you mean about writing then abandoning.. I've done that with one family already. Outside of work with the timing sometimes I don't get to write much either.. over a page is a triumph it seems though lol Oh no, you misunderstand.. I was writing two series.. It's about a pair of twins with one following the girl (Rae) and one following the boy (Danny). They were published concurrently. I think the very first one was the only one that identical publication dates.. the others I kept having problems with the publisher, though sometimes they were close
