Edith was not sure if Tokeru was wanting her to leave or if he just figured that he would get things done faster. Either way made her a little ticked, but not seriously, it did not even show on her facial expression. "Nah," she said, now knowing how she could make this work, "I'll take him. You should surprise me, go pick out a car and I'll meet you out front. Unless you'll miss me or Simon too much to go on your own."
She then picked Simon up so that she could properly carry him, carrying him like a dude would his chick in the movies with her left hand just under his knee caps and her other hand supporting his head. To Tokeru, for possibly an instant, it may have looked like she was going to kiss him. Likely an assumption if made since in all the movies where the girl was carried by that she was kissed by the guy.

Tokeru smiled, and nodded. "Alright, meet me in the garage then when you're done, make sure to leave a note telling Simon to contact me ASAP. Alright?"
Before she could walk away, he kissed her tenderly on the lips, and then let her carry Simon off. He went in the elevator, and went to the garage.

Edith nodded, so long as he told her what he wanted her to do, she'd be able to do it. "Will do," she said playfully, imagining herself salute to him since she couldn't physically do it as she was carrying Simon, "bossman." She winked and slipped into the infirmary. Once there, she set Simon on a bed, made sure a medic was looking at him, chicken-scratched down Tokeru's note and started making her way to the garage.

When Tokeru got to the garage, he really did not know which care to take, and so he did what any normal person would. "Eenie, meenie, minie, mo..."
After going through the entire rhyme, he ended up pointing to a 1930 Lincoln Towncar.
"Well, since I did do the rhyme, guess i gotta take this one."
He grabbed a set of keys, started the car and waited infront of the elevator.

It was not too long after Tokeru had finished his little eenie, meenie, minee, mo game that the elevator doors slid aside to reveal Edith, Edith who was fumbling with something. That something happened to be her belt buckle which apparently was bothering her. The thing had fallen apart and had been jabbing into her stomach. She cursed as she fiddled with it, unaware that the elevator door had just opened.

Tokeru noticed Edith fumbling at something, it looked like she was trying to hold her pants up or something, so he decided to honk the horn.
"Hurry up now, this car doesn't have a big fuel tank."

"I'm," she shouted when she accidentally applied too much of her strength without noticing and snapped her buckle in half. "Damn it!" she swore angrily, flustered that she had managed to bust yet another article of clothing or accessory. She always had bad luck that way, things did not last long with her, except her weapons. "Just hold on a sec! I need to get myself a belt or I can change pants completely or I could just walk around in my underwear." She waited for his answer, his response.

Tokeru smiled, and drifted off in thought. After a few moments, he shook his head and opened his mouth to answer, carefully weighing the pluses over the fact that she might hit him over the head with a frying pan. "As much as I would like you to walk around in your underwear, i think it would probably be better if you wore clothes, especially with the weather outside. It is kinda cold, and I heard it was snowing."

Edith laughed, he was correct in choosing that answer, that way there was no disappointment for him. Damn straight she wasn't walking down the streets in just her underwear, the cops would arrest her, or stare at her or make her pay her fine by means of... she did not want to think about that nor how often it ocurred. "I'll be a few minutes. Hope you car's gas tank can hold up while I'm gone."

Tokeru smiled, "Well, unless if you are like most women who say a few minutes is really 2 hours, then i'm sure this car will be fine. It only has roughly 2 and 1/2 hours of gas in this thing, so just don't take that long."
He smiled and waited for her to go.

Edith was not the most fashionable, she simply wore what she felt was cool or what she wanted. She liked being comfortable and she enjoyed wearing clothing that she thought was interesting and different. However, she did not spend too much time choosing an outfit though sometimes she had difficulties. "Yeah," she said with a quick wave, "I'll make sure that half hour of gas is left in the tank!" She then pressed the elevator button, having the elevator go back to Tokeru's room.
When the elevator stopped, she zipped through Tokeru's and Hope's living quarters and found Tokeru's and now her room. She was happy, more than happy that he had asked her to stay in the same bedroom as him, move in. The thought was enough to bring color to her pale cheeks as she rummaged around for a belt. She found one, a black one with steel studs. "This'll do." she mumbled in approval to herself while stapping the belt on.
She expeditiously hustled back to the elevator, keeping an ear out for Kyley though she heard nothing from the four-year-old and assured herself that she would be fine. The vampiress then pressed the button that would take her back to the garage and she waited patiently for the elevator to let her out of it.
After what seemed like days, Edith was permitted out of the elevator within a matter of minutes. She always hated standing around, it bored her and it was what caused her to think that she had stayed in the elevator for days. Happily, she jumped out of the elevator, looking like a kid playing hopscotch. She then looked to Tokeru with a satisfied smile, she had only taken four, five minutes max. "I'm back, now let's get going damnit. We're too skilled at taking forever to get somewhere."

Tokeru smiled, he had been nodding off for the past few minutes that Edith had been gone. "My little temptress, would you mind perhaps driving? I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open for some reason, maybe it was something I ate, thats completly possible."
He stepped out of the car, wings folded behind him, and waited for her answer.

Edith's smile immediately faded upon the news of Tokeru being so tired. She could not imagine that spaghetti and meatballs would make someone tired unless the person drugged them or something. "Are you," she asked with concern, "sure you're okay? Maybe you should stay here in case something's wrong with you. I don't want anything happening to you."
She then leaped over the car for the hell of it and for the simple reason known as convenience and was at Tokeru's side inspecting him pretty thoroughly. The vampiress scanned his face, his neck, the back of his neck and head, his arms, his torso, his back, his legs, his kneecaps, she covered almost everything except for parts that would embarass him and make her look like a slut. "I don't see anything wrong with you physically so maybe it is something you ate." She hugged him closely, worried for him.

Tokeru yawned. "Probably just the excitement of the past day." He grinned sleepily and laughed as Edith decided to check him.
"Yeah, probably just that, anyway. You just need to wake me up when we get to the high rise district. I'll probably be napping during that time. Mmmm, how i could go for some ice-cream right now. Maybe we should stop on the way, i could send you in for some."
He really did want ice-cream, but couldn't go out in public since halloween was over, that was really the only time he could walk among people, and he kinda missed it.

Edith rolled her eyes and gave him a quick kiss, staring at him for a few moments after as if she was not fully satisfied with his response. "Okay." she replied somewhat warily. "Get in the car and we'll stop for some ice cream. Maybe it'll wake you up."
"Okie dokie," she said with a chuckle, getting into the car, "I'll be sure to wake you up. I won't promise that it'll be a pleasant awakening, but I'll wake you up none-the-less. And before you go to sleep I need to know what kind of ice cream you want. I don't want to get you a flavor that you don't like."
Eden was a little more fortunate than Tokeru. She could still blend in with the public but she could not go out at day for obvious reasons that did not need to be listed. However, lately she had not been in public at all, she'd either been at the Chapterhouse or at Haven.
