He had rolled his eyes as Kimmi totally put on the whole act, it really was corny when you knew the truth. In fact, with him knowing what he did, it just seemed sad that no one else could see it was an act. He couldn't help but think she was laying it on a little thick, was she always that bad? Or perhaps, even overacting right now for some reason?
He had recognized Kay immediately, and was glad that she was passed out right now.
But apparently Kimmi lead him directly to Khana's tent. He didn't say anything at first, even after she choked out his name. No one had called him that since he had first transformed.
Khana was startled by Kimmi suddenly opening her tent flap like that, and she had jumped a bit, and had been too out of it to here her coming. She almost threw the gun down, and then looked at her guiltily, but for a different reason. She hadn't meant to be so mean to Kay earlier...
She started, "Kimmi, what-" then she noticed someone with her, and at the same moment that she realized who it was, Kimmi's words registered in her slightly fuzzy brain... she had certainly been downing that bottle of whiskey...
She looked shocked, but choked out, "Luke?" she didn't understand why he was with Kimmi, and HERE. He said he would come back... but she had never imagined like this, just walk right into camp like that.
The only thing she could say was, "Their going to kill you!"

Kay blinked her eyes at the fire. Through the mega buzz she had gotten from the gin, another more familar and urgent buzz was going off. Kay stumbled to her feet, and out of habit of the last hour, took a sip of gin... but didn't feel it anymore. Damn defense kicking in already- Wait that means... Kay spun around in a 360 as she quickly took in the area. Something wasn't right, and it was the same something that hadn't been right back at Area 51... A smart undead... One familar to someone here... God she hoped she was wrong!

Kimmi cursed under her breath, too low for Khana to hear but not Luke. "It's ok! I brought him, he promised to play nice. You looked so upset I though you two could use a bit of time to talk." She grabbed Luke's arm and with strength no one in the little camp would think she had she yanked him into Khana's tent. "Play nice now!" She said with a cheery smile as she gave a pointed look in Kay's direction. She pulled a hypo needle from her pouch, just in case Kay wouldn't see reason.
She quickly intercepted the girl. "Kay! Up and about already? We should really go check those wounds honestly your not wonder woman." She took Kay's arm and with a bit of force that she hoped Kay was too out of it to notice, turned the woman away from Khana's tent. Keeping her bright smile and sunny personality in place.

Luke allowed himself to be pushed into the tent by Kimmi when Kay was up, what had the girl said about the slayer? That she wasn't in any shape to do any slaying right now, or something like that. He wondered what had happened. Perhaps Kimmi could do something about her, at least he knew she had a good chance of it.
More importantly, he stood in front of Khana now after... how long had it been? He didn't even know. It had happened a year and a few months after the outbreak, but how long since then?
"It's been awhile, hasn't it, Khana?" he said, just for something to say.
Khana was still confused, and stunned... and really regretting the whiskey right now...
Kimmi pushed Luke into her tent, and then called out to Kay, thank god the woman was hurt, seriously. That sounded mean, but under the circumstances...
Khana wasn't sure what to say, or do, so she just stood there staring at him. It had been different finding him out there, away from everyone else.
But finally, "yes... but how? I just don't understand, why now?" she had finally found her voice, the shock receding some now.

Kay looked Pinky square in the eyes. "If there was an undead, which there shouldn't be... You had better have a good reason for it. I'd hate to have to hurt someone else by taking out an undead..." she mumbled the last part letting Pinky lead her wherever. "I trust ya Pinky... But I don't trust anyone... Doubly for undeads." Kay kept them close to Khana's tent while letting Pinky try and keep her occupied by being busy with her wounds.

"Oh Kay honestly." She said as she moved behind her under the pretense of checking on a bandage. Quick and without warning the hypo needle was released into her neck. "He promised to play nice, and you are in no shape to fight anything. Let alone a smart undead." She easily caught Kay, though she grunted under her weight. She led Kay to her own tent so that she could keep an eye on her to make sure Luke stayed safe as she had promised.
She lay Kay down, knowing the other woman was pissed at her when she was completely awake. She brushed Kay's hair out of her eyes. Just before Kay was out comepletly she sighed at the woman. "You shouldn't trust what you don't know." She said softly.

kay felt the needle go in again. F**k... was the last thought that went through her head as her body slumped. As the nightmares and memories took over.
Trapped... can't get out... Smiling, leering faces... Stabbing pain followed by stabbing pain... She's lasted longer then the others... Survived for the final test... Burning... Fire rippling up her body... Crying out in pain... Stop it! Please just let me go!

Luke sighed, "I wasn't able to get away before now, the ... master... sent me on a mission and I was able to escape then, the orders were vague enough for me to do so." he explained, but he had said the title like an insult. It was difficult for him to refer to "the master" in any other way because he was supposed to. Even the pronoun "he" was difficult to say, when he meant to speak of him.
Ketsu gestured weakly and then sighed, holding her head, the room spinning when she moved to quickly. That was a combination of the whiskey, and the stress, that caused that.
"I mean... I thought for sure..." then she whispered the rest, barely audible, "I thought I killed you..."
"I don't know." Luke said, "When I woke up, they told me a bullet hit the side of my head, missing the brain, but only slightly, damaging it even. Apparently it took them a lot of work to get me going again..." he was trying to explain this to her the best way possible, without making him sound like a monster, Frankenstein thing...
[[Aaah.... I'm getting an idea for where this could be going.. hmmm]]

Kimmi sighed and made sure Kay was a comfortable as possible. "You need the sunshine as much as everyone else." She confessed the out cold Kay. "You see more than I give you granted, but you still don't see Kay." She unzipped a pocket in her duffel and took out a picture. "When you do, you'll all hate me." She sighed as she put it away and lay down near Kay so she can keep an eye on her. "Till then, I'll be what you guys need me to be. I'll give you what I can."

"KAY!" Kimmi yelled again shaking the woman. She cursed and rifled through the first aid kit with one arm, as the other was in a vice grip in Kay's hand. She found the hypo and jammed it in the girls neck, shaking her again. "You're going to break my wrist! Wake up!"

Kay awoke, gasping for breath and shaking. She collapsed to the ground, her body racking with uncontrollable shaking. "Please don't do that again..." she muttered weakly, shivering in fear. "I don't want to go back there..."

"Shhh." Kimmi said as she tried to wrench her wrist from Kay's death grip before it snapped. "Okay okay, I won't do it again, I'm sorry. I thought the rest would be good for you." She yanked again. "Kay if you squeeze anymore your going to snap it in two!"

"Sorry..." Kay mumbled releasing Pinky's hand. "There's a reason I don't sleep anymore P. And I'd like to keep it that way till this is all over." she said, slowing sitting up. Kay was still shivering from the memories... She didn't know what they meant yet, and that scared her more then anything else ever had.

"Sorry." She said again rubbing her wrist. With a sigh she pulled a blanket from a small stack and wrapped it around her. "Just try and calm down ok, now that your awake this is gonna be a bit harder to deal with than I thought it would." She positioned herself so that she was sitting between Kay and the tent door.
