"I'm trying to help, Sarge. There's only twelve," Theta began, before a grenade exploded prematurely, "Eight of us left. But sure, let a pilot do the work of a trooper. No wonder why command picked you as leader. I'll do what I can. I'll be dead though when this is over, mind you. Out."
Another explosion sounded down one of the ramps. "Just like nerfs to the slaughter. Now, what can I do to make this situation more tenable?"
Two of the three turrets were out of order, and working on them would get him killed quick. There wasn't much else to help. The rain wasn't helping either.
"Damnit, I need a steady stream of water to make that plan work." He moaned. "No oil either. That couldl have helped... Tools are useless. Pistol wasted. Air tank... Now that I have...."
Theta ducked, weaving through the dead to find any compressed blaster gas or air that could possibly remain. His fingers worked nimbly, though he wished he could use the fusion torch.

"No s**t, sherlock." Sigma muttered as he cut the comm to Copy. He ended up jetting to another platform, where he shot down two droids and then barely rocketed again when a thermal detonator exploded.
"That was close," he muttered as he recieved a comm from Zeta.
"Negative. I just took a blow to the head from a B2 and several piercings through my armor. I'll be fine," he said.

"Blaster projectiles tend to have a cauterizing effect... be sure to check yourself thoroughly before continuing on with combat. If I had my way you'd be down here in the med bay under my eyes, but there's a battle and about 500 wounded clones in the way." Zeta drank some water and wiped his head more, eyes darting to the triage.

Sight rotated his gun to the left and took out three driods running down the walkway over the bodies of clones was they were making their way to the doorway of the facilty. "s**t, their getting closer to us." Sight said as he rotated his rifle again and took out a super making his way down the central bridge to the door. "Do these things ever stop coming?"Sight said to himself.

" If you find a blaster that can take out an endless swarm of droids in one shot, that'd be great. If not, beer's fine. " Iota responded, taking another shot out the door and then waiting again for it to charge back up.

"I'll be fine." Sigma confirmed as he maneuvered to another platform.
"You take care of yourself alright?" he said before he closed the comm to Zeta. "Brother." he added, before closing the channel and shooting a droid in the face.

As the Clones were pushed back by the waves of battledroids, Copy finaly reached the top floor. The Elevator doors opened And Copy rolled out of the elevator. He snapped his blaster up and fires, blowing away a B1. The ARC stepped over the body of a fallen clone and with precison fire started vaping droids left and right, blaster bolts flying about him. "Delta here. I'm at Turbolift 12-A. Anyone there?"

Seperated from the rest of the Band, Sigma made his way to a group of ARC Troopers.
"Hey there guys." he said, to no reply. Finally, a standard trooper commed him and gave him an order about an ambush at the real shield generator.
Satisfied, Sigma made his way to partake in the festivities.

Iota once again fired a 5-way barrage blast out the front door. This time however, some droids were close enough to get a bead on her and fire, causing her to take a few hits. Luckily, her armor took it all, leaving her unharmed, but now she's unable to use her new toy. " Sith! And I was starting to like my rigged up doombringer. Oh well, time for the old fashioned way. " She unhooked the weapons and swithed to a pair of snipers, though she wasn't a sniper, she wanted the extra punch they had. She rotated through the pair. When one was used up, she hooked it to the recharger and used the other. Sadly, even this way, she wasn't making nearly the frag-per-minute count that she had been.

The hours that passed by felt like minutes to the survivors of Kamino. Sigma could telly ou himself, were he still alive.
By the time the droids reacehd the location of the supposed shield generators, they were in for the biggest surprise of their lives. On the upper platforms were positioned trained marksmen, and only the best. The droids that made it past them had to face a sea of mines, not to mention a defensive perimeter of auto-turrets, chain guns and laser turrets. The 100 droids that made it past the trials were then surrounded by 75 troops, 25 being ARCs, and a select few were Republic Commandos.
Too bad the droids didn't know it yet.

The way was clear now and he hosited the gun up and onto his shoulder and listened to the explodions going off as the ambush took place. He smiled, but lots of his brothers were being lost, he shruged, it was life for a solider. Sight looked around at the heap of droid parts scattered around the platforms below.

When asked about the Defense of Kamino, most would say it was a resounding victory for the Republic.
Some would call it a Seperatist failure.
Yet others still would call it a Seperatist victory. For Count Dooku and Lord Sidious, the Defense of Kamino served one purpose: to root out traitors and those considered "unworthy." It worked.

It wasn't very long before Band of Vode had orders again.
Joined by Epsilon-182, a new member, they were dropped off onto Qiilura with nothing more than an LAAT/i and orders to destroy a nanovirus research facility.
As the dropship left, Sigma sighed heavily.
"Fun, fun fun."

"Shut up Fett-trooper." Delta said as he drew a holo camera fom his belt. He let the device fly up and take in the surroundings, watching what it saw on a hand held transmiter. Satisfied with what he saw he summoned the camera back to him and turned to the squad. "Team, there will be no comunications beyond the ten meter range of our personal helmit comlinks. The Locals still own the comn array and anything greater will have them tracking us. Hokan is no Di'kut." He pointed to the transport."I want that thing camoflaged from arial view on the double. They might have air support and I'm not about to use our trump card yet."

"34.... 35.....36.....37.... 38... screw it," Theta said to himself. "I haven't flown a bird since Geonosis. Bleeding crew of brain-dead, trigger-happy grunts."
He noticed everyone else was slowly going farther and farther away from where he sat, anxious to do whatever they needed to do to get done. Amongst all the clones, Theta had the shortest list of things needed "to do". This is his list:
1) Get on the transport. 2) Fly away and make up a bogus story to command to have them bombard the planet instead of wasting time sending in a bunch of psychotic clones to play hero.
