Kira chuckled and gently took kai from ryou. She couldent help but think the same thing "Prices sure are going up on everything..."

Ryou smiled at his son, and then looked to Kira. "Want to go find the others or would you like to do something else?"

"Okay." Ryou said, smiling warmly at Kira. As they walked along, he kept an eye out for anyone-- mainly Khalid. He glanced at Kira, still smiling. "Pegasus's reappearance is rather shocking, huh?" He said conversationally.

"Khalid says that he has absolutely nothing to do with it." Ryou paused at the window of a closed store to idly examine the 'space for sale' sign. "Now, I wasn't around when you encountered him before. Had he always been that sweet with you?" Ryou was surprised at just how indifferent he was towards Pegasus's obvious crush on Kira. At another time, he would have been jealous or at least nervous. But now he thought it was nice.

"Maybe he's just trying to make up for that." Ryou suggested, moving away from the sign. He could tell, though, from the ways Pegasus looked at Kira when he thought nobody else was watching... "He doesn't seem to like me, though. I hardly saw him at his tournament, when I was in school. I suppose it's because of Bakura."

Ryou smiled bitterly. "I sincerely hope it won't come to that. It's fine to continue this mutual dislike for each other." He jumped in alarm when two slim hands wrapped around his waist. "Khalid!" He scolded. "Don't scare me like that!"
"Things are boring, Ember and Atem got into a fight, and I want to go home." The violet-haired man complained, resting his head against Ryou's shoulder. "You got what you wanted, right? Then let's leave."

"Fine!' Khalid grumbled. "Let's round up the others, and leave." He tugged at Ryou's arm. "It'll be easier to split up and look. Let's meet up outside in fifteen-- no, thirty minutes."
