Yue made his way down the steps as his younger sister Mia more or less skipped down the steps cutely with Alice in her arms. He mused that she would have looked like a normal girl if it weren't for that creepy thing she called her plushie.
"Good morning," Mia smiled brightly turning on all manner of cuteness to get a positive response from their hostess.

"Good morning!" Laer said brightly, bringing plates of food to the table. They were all laden with eggs and juicy cuts of meat, along with a few slices of toast.
"Nadya was saying last night how cold it was up north," she smiled at them as she set the plates on the table, "so I thought you might enjoy a nice warm breakfast before you set out today."

Gion let the others get their breakfasts first, instead heading to the counter to pack his bag with all of the food Laer had left out for him. He wasn't terribly hungry anyways, he was used to traveling like that, and eating the fares they had been eating. He was, however, looking forward to the desert travel as a contrast to the cold of the Northland, though he knew that by the time they actually reached the city he would be longing for the coolness of the plantation once again.

"Thank you," Triton smiled at Laer, "It is a good way to start the day."
He was the last to enter having had everyone else go before him. His things were packed away and he was wearing the clothes from before, just like the others had. Well, he mused except for Yue who always wore those clothe colours.

"Yay! Thank you!" Mia grinned as she went for the table to sit down.
She didn't dig in right away as she set Alice right beside the late as if the toy was going to partake in her food as well.
"It does look yummy doesn't it Alice?"

Laer laughed softly and ruffled Mia's hair affectionately. "Enjoy," she grinned. Then she headed back behind the counter and poured tall glasses of fresh, cool water for everyone. She set them on a tray and brought them out, handing them out to everyone cheerfully.

Donovan shook his head at Mia a bit, it was hard to believe someone who could act that cute could be that dangerous. Though he supposed as he took a seat that, that was the point. She was acting cute.
"Thanks," he murmured before starting his breakfast.

"So.... who is going to tell Elnara when we get home," Triton replied back thoughtfully, "Now that I think of it, Gion is there any message you want us to pass along?"
It was early, but who knew, maybe Gion would want to write a letter or something.

Gion looked up at Triton sharply, surprised. Not in a bad way, it just hadn't occurred to him that he could pass along a message of some sort. But what to tell her?
He thought for a moment, then brought up his hands and signed, Could you tell her about me and Nadya? And that Mother is safe now? And ...
He trailed off, lowering his hands slowly. For all of the years she had been gone now, there was so much that he wanted to tell her ... but most of it was private, personal, things that would best be said face to face. He could write a letter, he mused, but it wouldn't be the same - and the things he wanted to say were important enough that they could wait until the next time he saw her - if he ever did again.
Finally, he brought up his hands once more and signed, Tell her that ... we would dearly love for her to come and visit. I'd do almost anything to see her again.
His eyes grew sad, wistful.

Donovan looked up from his meal and replied casually to Gion, since he didn't think that much about it. After all to him who had lived with Elnara for nearly a year now it was normal.
"Well, she might visit," he offered, "I don't know when, but she's always wanted to take that eldest of hers here and with that librarian hanging around she just might even more."

Triton sweated a bit at Donovan's blunt overview of Elnara's life, had they even remembered to mention those things to Gion? He didn't know how much Gion had heard about Elnara previous to this, and though they had talked about it in lengths with Elorhir, he was sure they hadn't mentioned it to Gion.
"Do you always have to drop bombshells onto people?" Triton asked Donovan.

Mia looked up and blinked, she remembered about that person. He was awfully nice to Sissy and she was always happy. So, Mia didn't see anything wrong with him at all.
"His name is Lore, not librarian," she finally spoke up before going back to her meal.

Gion blinked, and his hands came up again. What? What's this? he signed quickly. I knew Elnara had a few children that she'd adopted, but ... who is this other person?
There was no sign for the name, and he had never heard of a librarian (since of course the only library that he had ever heard of was his Grandmother's, and Sir Valdemar took care of that one).

Mia looked up again and told Gion quite matter of factly, "Lore is the librarian for the city's public library. He's an elf just like her and they've been going out," she shoved eggs into her mouth before anyone could ask her anything.
Yue rolled his eyes as he cut up his food, "Mia..."
She swallowed, "What? It is true, it is not a bad thing," she pointed her spoon at Donovan, "Since he didn't do anything to him!"
