His eyes kept staring at the picture of the two hands. Like a microscope trying to find some rare bacteria. Soon enough though he finally came across the problem. It was something very minuscule, that anyone could have probably missed it. This time Kiketsu knew he would get it for sure.

He placed one palm over the other just like last time. This time though he made sure his thumb went above his smallest finger. From all the times before he left the fingers in their natural state. Now his mind was at rest. It felt right and there was no nagging pin at the back of his cranium. It felt a bit dumb to be stuck on probably the simplest of the seals. Unfortunately Kiketsu had a way of making things more complicated than they should be.

He turned to the next page.

Cassie had been mopping up the mess whilst Hiru had been working. She'd showed him the first seal and he had decided to take it from there, which was all fine and dandy until all that water starting being produced. This kid definitely had an affinity for water... Just as she'd finished, she looked up to hear Hiru speak. His confused look worried her for a while, until he spoke. Cassie's expression turned to a smile too.

"That's great, Hiru!"
she said. "You're really advanced for someone your age." And clan... she thought at the back of her mind. She looked around for a moment, before turning back to Hiru.

"Hmmm. Tell you what, Hiru-kun,"
she said. "Why don't you use this time to rest, or to self-study? Or you can ask me questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I don't want to go so fast that the rest of the class can't catch up. Keep it up, guys!" she encouraged the rest of the class.

Hiru was very proud to see Cassie-sensei impressed with his work. He looked around a bit, most of his peers weren't done yet, except for the snake kid who was nearing the end of his flyer but was strangely stuck on the monkey seal.

"I don't hink I'll be able to use my brain for a while..." Hiru told Cassie-sensei. "Do you think there's anything I could do in the river close by? I'd run back as soon as the others are ready I promise!" Hiru innocently asked. "Water always helps me relax, if I could train at the same time that would be great!", he finally added.

Hiru stood up, slowly but surely, hoping for a positive answer.

((o.0 Midori is still reading the first book. sweatdrop She still has the other and the hand seals. Gotta post more often I guess. ))

Midori continued to read on in the book, gradually becoming more interested as she read. Maybe reading was her thing. Who would ever know until she finished the book and went to the second. Looking up at her classmates she noticed that she was way behind the rest of the students. This made her feel dumb.

Midori continued to gradually get the hang of the book and soon enough she was at the third chapter. Well at least there was some progress happening compared to the obstacle course in which she never finished. That made her feel really special.

Midori continued on as the book was coming with great ease now that she was into reading it. It talked about the great wonders and mysteries of ninjutsu which lured her into reading more. This wasn't one of the times where you get forced to read and just don't care about it.

Midori began to loose interest and the want to read when she was coming to the end of the chapter and the beginning of chapter five. Who would have though that that would happen but of well. It did.

Midori read on past the fourth chapter and found herself at the fifth chapter. She was ecstatic because she was making some good progress in such a big book. At least this was better than jumping over some metal beams and hurting her bum.

((Yes! Halfway though! Lets finish this off. Sorry about the shortness. My brain is at a lag. ))

Midori continued on but paused to look around the room to see how everybody else was going on. She had a feeling she had a slight impairment in her brain but nope. No problems whatsoever. She then focused back on the book.

Midori attempted to move on with the book but as the chapters went by it became harder and harder to understand. "Just great. I get a dent in the book and it makes it harder to understand. Just great . . ." Midori thought as she reread several sentances.

((Who knows what number this roll will get. I'm guessing 6))

Midori finally exceeded the 5th chapter and moved forward to the glorious 6th chapter. Yay, She was going somewhere with her reading. I guess reading was becoming a new hobby for her. Never know though.

((I'm guessing a 2))

Midori gradually moved past the 6th chapter and off to the 7th. Wow. She was almost done. Hopefully the excitement wouldn't go to her head and throw her off. Especially since she was doing so good.

((And a 7))

Midori moved on once more as she was learning about the difference between ninjutsu and magic. After all she would have to know the difference in order to be a successful shinobi unlike her family. She would prove them wrong all right.

((Squeeketh. I guess a 1))

As Midori moved on she felt herself reach the second to last chapter of the first book. "Well, One more chapter to go and one more book to go. At least I'm catching up. Thats a bonus. " Midori thought as she read on in the book that she was almost done with.

(you're catching up pretty quickly. Next number you get is 12)

Now if Kiketsu over complicated things sometimes simple subjects would give him trouble just because it was too simple. So by that fact if the task was complicated then it would be slightly easier for him. When he turned to the tenth sign Tori he gave the image a good look. Tori, the rooster that hailed in the west and guarded August, was a complicated sign. All fingers were used and in and odd way.

The cloud colored child thought this one would give him much trouble. His mind was prepared for a long hardy task of getting his fingers to master this hand sign. "Thumbs out.... pink and middle fingers up.... index and ring fingers down..." his mind foresaw the task. Maybe because it was so difficult that Kiketsu excelled in this hand sign and was able to pull it off quickly with no trouble.

He didn't bother to compliment himself. His body knew he was near to the end of this task. Just two more and he could move on.
