Oz did not move. He merely leaned a bit toward Buffy.
“Um, Willow went frenzy when Kennedy screamed for help as she floated and was, well, not moving. Her pant? Her pants are upstairs…that…thing…is trying to heal Kennedy, so says Willow. Me? I think he’s trying to finish her off.”

When it growled at Willow, Buffy glared. "I thought we had some kind of deal. I let you go, and you come into my home? What have you done?" She listened to Oz, ignored the pants thing for now, and stood across from the beast over Kennedy's body.

At the loud growl, Buffy flinched. Still, she truly sensed no danger, and looked at Willow, who was shaking her dark rooted head. Buffy shrugged and went over to check on Atticus. Riley was standing there still, as was Lorne. She realized that in the last hour since they'd left the institution he'd healed considerably, and thought they could safely bring him to his room. "I'm gonna carry him up. Riley, will you help me?" Together, they slowly carried the man upstairs and deposited him in his room. "Thanks, Ry," Buffy whispered.

The Gauru turned around and returned his attention the girl in front of the fireplace. He removed the blanket and jacket from her person. She was indeed cold, probably battling between living and dying. He could see the breath of artic air shivering out of her mouth. He slit his forearm once again with his claw. The Gauru squeezed out some of his blood and dabbed it with the tip of his claw. He then created a symbol on her forehead, very lightly as to not scratch her. He could still hear the young man with his unnecessary babbles on how the monster would eat the Kennedy girl. The strange alchemy symbol was then outlined onto his forehead. He did a strange hand gesture in front of her, and then placed both of his huge hands on her chest. He closed his eyes and waited. He felt the shreds of her life span drifting, almost not wanting to come back. He let out a howl, different to his previous ones. The artic air slowly dissipated from her lips. Blush began to grow on her cheeks. He turned toward the communicator.
“She will be fine; however, she is still weak. I was only able to heal what damage my ritual has caused her, not damage that was already taking course.” He grinned at his blond prey. “Stop the spirits. I must go and report to my tribal leader. I will return to you.”
With that said, the Gauru walked out of the mansion on all fours; he then sprinted off as morning joggers shouted.

Kennedy could feel the strong pull from before begin to push inside her. It was rushed, brutal and awakening. Her eyes opened for help as she gasped for air. Her hands lunged at her throat for a moment, almost as if she were looking for an on switch. Finally, Kennedy calmed down. She looked around, staring at Willow, then at the young man next to her. “What the hell happened?” Her voice seemed faint, but it was probably due to the strange pulls and pushes that she felt. She sat up from the floor, still a bit hazy. Her eyes met Willow’s. It was as if she was staring at a different person. No smile. No emotion. Just a Willow vessel standing there, empty. Oz approached her slowly. “Are you alright, Kennedy? You gave us quite a scare.” Kennedy gazed at his face, trying hard to remember what he meant. Images flashed in and out of mind, too quick to see, to remember. “What did I do? What’s going on? And who are you?”
He seemed familiar, but for some reason, his friendly trait seemed to make her want to slap him. “I’m Oz and…you don’t remember?” He gently helped her up on her feet. Kennedy strained her eyes a bit as she tried to remember. “I remember pain, lots of pain. I think it was…”
But the picture finally took focus. She yanked her arm from Oz and glared at Willow. “…how could you?” She ran upstairs and into her bedroom. ((ok, miss michelle edited, cuz i have a hard time reading it when you put the two characters in one post - this is for my own comfort lol, i think the a.d.d. is kicking in.))

Oz stood there for a moment or two. He finally looked at Willow’s direction. She would not say a thing, of course.
“All you can do is stand there? She is badly hurt, Will. Yea, things are over between you two, I get that. But we could have waited until the breakup was official, don’t you think?”
Oz could not tell if the silence was an agreement or if it was due to whatever mojo the monster put on her. Even so, Willow was a strong person, stronger than Kennedy. Heck, maybe even stronger than Buffy.

Kennedy threw her body onto her bed. The images would not stop flashing in and out of her mind. Willow. The beast. That Oz fellow next to her woman. The pain burning inside of her. The breaking of her heart. Her cry to Willow. It was all there. She soaked the pillow as she suffocated her face in it. Was Willow toying with her all this time? No, Willow was not like that. Then again, Willow would never hurt her the way she did last night.
“Distraction, I need distraction.”
Kennedy pushed herself off of the mattress and rummaged through her clothes. She took off her clothes and through on a kiwi colored sweats. She slipped a tank top over her head, followed by a sporty sweater, also kiwi. She grabbed a couple of CDs and ran downstairs, all the way down. Once in the basement, Kennedy searched for a CD player. Lucky for her, she found one. It was a small one, but it would serve its purpose. She through on a CD, cranked it loud, and turned to a punching bag. Her hand quickly remembered the moves as she struck it hard. Kicks soon followed, but Kennedy found herself still weak. She collapsed on the floor, staring at the ceiling as the music played in the room.
“Damn!”
She realized that what she really needed....was food.

Willow felt the pressure of the magicks on her body, and couldn't respond to Oz. "I'm sorry.. but Kennedy and I have been over for a while now. She wanted to work stuff out, but I didn't. It isn't my fault she couldn't get it through her head that once she cheated on me, I was done. You should know better than that, Oz... if it hadn't been for you and Veruca, then maybe I could have dealt with Kennedy's betrayal." She sighed. "I care about her, sure. But I'm not in love with her. I don't want to be in love with anyone. And I'm worn out. I'm going to bed for a couple more hours." She left him in the livingroom with all the others, and went to sleep.

Oz decided to sit on the couch and to contemplate what was just said. Was Willow just having her way with him? No, it was something else. Willow and Kennedy were, in fact, over. Kennedy just couldn’t let go. That was good in a way. That made room for his journey with Willow. Sure, that’s what Oz wanted. But what about Willow?
“I don't want to be in love with anyone” still lingered in his mind. Does that mean she was simply having a good time with him? But then what part of her words were true? Before all this talk about not wanting to be in love, she confessed missing him so much. This was just getting too confusing.
Oz sighed. Just let it go. Don’t be pushy about it, don’t expect something from it, and just flow like water. Oz listened to his thoughts and wondered if he could believe himself. Even so, he would try. Let Willow come to him as she did last night...when she is ready on her own terms.
“But I still love you, Willow,” whispered from his breathe. Another sigh. Oz finally decided that he should go ahead and have something to eat. Maybe he could think better after a meal.

Kennedy rose from the ground. She had to; it was cold. She pulled out her hair tie from her pocket and did two loops around her hair. Ponytail. Kennedy turned off the CD player and slowly walked upstairs. She felt betrayed, but at least now she knew how Willow felt. Even so, Willow was supposed to be her friend, someone she cared about, someone important to her, but Willow seemed to think otherwise. “I have to clear my mind of this. It’s just too much for me.” Kennedy turned into the kitchen, thinking maybe a ham and cheese sandwich would help. All thought process stopped when in the kitchen was that Oz fellow. “What are you still doing here? Haven’t you caused enough trouble?”Oz turned around and saw Kennedy standing at the doorway. “Me? I didn’t cause anything. Kennedy, Willow explained everything to me.” Kennedy glared at him. “You mean she explained her side of the story to you. You have nothing to do here so leave!” Her hands rested upon her hips as her foot tapped the floor with every word. She was not in a happy mode. “Hey, don’t blame me for Willow not wanting to be with you.” He had about as much as he could handle on this situation. “Willow and I were fixing things...” but Oz interrupted her thought. “No, Kennedy, you were. Willow was done with you the minute you slept with some guy! She had it!” Silence erupted in the kitchen. All that could be heard was Kennedy’s heavy breathing. Her hands fell from her hips and formed fists. “Everything would have....worked itself out....relationships for through hard times....We could have been fine if it wasn’t for you!”Oz simply shook his head. “No, Kennedy. You are the only one that thought it could. Willow already accepted that everything between you two was done and over.” His voice stopped being hostile. He felt sorry for her. A broken heart is hard to mend.
