The Trygon and Mawloc are impressive models and I'm pretty sure that it will sell very well, not just to Tyranid players, but also to treadheads such as Mel. It's a bit like when the Carnifex was released last edition, a great model that everybody wants to have one of. I can see why store attendants are reluctant to let other people handle them. On the bright side we've found ourselves a handler for the Tyranids when we're ready. mrgreen

It was fun enough to build. I decided to go for the Mawloc but with the top of a regular Trygon and regular thorax armour. Lovely model, can't wait for this tit leech to leave so I can paint it! pirate

got my Trygon prime, converted my gunfex into a sweet greenstuffed tervigon. made an alpha warrior, twin boneswords and deathspitter. pictures soon. Otherwise, what sounds like the new 'spam' unit? because I'd like to avoid it at all costs razz

Most new toys will most likely be spammed in the coming months, either for the sake of coolness or because they have good rules.

well, I will admit. the tervigon allows me to do what I think the army should do: an endless swarm of gaunts. lots and lotsa gaunts.

bjs.09-00 well, I will admit. the tervigon allows me to do what I think the army should do: an endless swarm of gaunts. lots and lotsa gaunts. Man, the rules on this thing just make me want to play a Nid army. At least to putz around with to see what I can do.

As any doubles on the 3d6 production roll stop the critter from pooping out more gaunts for the rest of the game. And statistically, you have something like a 50% chance of rolling doubles.

3d6 on average produces 10-11 gaunts, not exactly a big brood...

Van Evok 3d6 on average produces 10-11 gaunts, not exactly a big brood... Thast still 10-11 extra troops for them to field and overwhelm you with.

Oh how I love Nids <3
Though we just need a Ripper Pack and Ill be happy, instead of getting 3 per gaunt box or whatever.

It would probably be worthless, but put as many as possible into the troops and just spam the table with bugs. Have everything else enter via tunnels. from a Trygon/Mawloc.

Games are best when KP's aren't involved. I'd love to give my Guard a try against Nids, target saturation can be a bit of a bother for me. sweatdrop
