The ork trukk would look QUITE out of place in another army even if the iconography is removed, for a Lost and the damned themed army maybe because the poor upkeep from the muties, otherwise it'd look too weird, the imprial armies (even on feral worlds) wouldn't nail plates onto vehicles.

You'd be surprised, seeing as the Baneblade and Leman Russ are both riveted instead of welded together.

I want MOAR trukks though, I really like the modular kit and that flatbed is just screaming for a rotating gun platform of sorts so it can be used as a Looted Wagon. I'm also going to see if I can build some orks into Mad Max road warrior styled models.

But those plates aren't nailed on randomly, look at the trukks, there's no symetry at all, they're just bolted on in different sizes in random locations.

Use the Mad Max idea and get your hands on Gorka Morka instead, it's far more suited for road warrior themes. wink

Nah, the war biker arms come with those random weapons that bikers usually carry with them, so they are perfect for some Mad Meks road warrior Boyz.

You'd be surprised how stubborn people can be, if I really need to I can just file off all the bolts and make weld-marks with a hot pin. And If I get really desperate I could just flatten everything and use plasticard plates. But I don't think I'd be that desperate for a Deuce and a Half....

I meant more that you should get your hands on the rulebook, since it is a road warrior gang fighting game... n_n;;;

Anyways, I took those hands for my freebooter unit in the army, it's a nob and his followers in a trukk, everyone converted AND they're all gettin' nice hats from the 101 in the link I posted earlier. :B YARR pirate orks! The one and only way for freebooters! :'3

Well, Gorka Morka is out of print, so it'll be a hard task for me to get the rules for that game. Instead I'll just settle on some road warrior orks, maybe try to give some of them plastic sports armour and a hockey mask.

Psst. Specialist Games has Gorkamorka in .pdf for free; no pirating required.

I just noticed it while looking for some mordheim stuff, and I'm glad they finally did it.

I feel that I can trust GW once again. n_n

Can anyone argue me a good case for shoota boyz? Im on the fence as to whether I would like to equip my boyz with some cc weapons or shootas.

I take shootas because I find them more effective than sluggas and choppas, sure, you loose one attack, but you still have 2 attacks per ork (3 on a charge) and also get a chance to shoot at the enemy, giving you the chance to kill some more before assulting, yes, BS 2 is kind of hard to hit with, but you get 2 shots per ork instead of 1 with a slugga.

But you could always field 50/50 of the units as sluggas respective shootas, me myself only use one unit of sluggas since thorugh testing and others choppa boyz ain't that effective, I would rather take 2 shots and loose one attack than vice versa, hitting the enemy from distance is fun, especially if it sounds "DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA!".

This might not have much to do with this but if you take a unit of slugga boyz you should give them rokkit launchas, and keep the big shootas with the shoota boyz, hailing even more bullets on the enemy before a charge.

Slugga boyz are effective as trukk boyz, getting to the enemy fast, and hopefully in an ok number to atleast do something.

And the grand finale~

...
Shoota boyz just look awesome...

Well looking awesome was already putting me on the fence, and making the noise of Dakka Dakka, was going to be a fluff decision for me, as I really like the ork meme of "orkz was made for Rokkin".

Rokkit launchas in general I think Im going to avoid, just because limiting something with BS 2 to one shot doesnt sound appealing to me. Though I might use them if I can get them twin linked on certain vehicles.

Anyways, thanks for helping to tip me over to the dakka side of the waaagh.
