-- NOAH IS AFFLICTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS --"Don't come near me." Noah's voice shook slightly, thin with strain. He had had enough time, pressed back into the corner under the turn of the stairs, to decide very firmly that not only was everyone laughing at him but that they were also out to get him. The details of the plot were hazy, but that didn't matter. He held Laz tightly enough that his knuckles had gone white. Pey had come to take him away and trap him, they'd sent her because they knew she'd wormed her way into his trust, but he'd seen through the trick now. "I know what you want, I won't let you trick me." Quote: He can't recognize friend from foe, and everyone to him looks terrifying. There is no hunger however, just paranoia, an extreme case of it. He has half his HP and can attack as per usual. If he does more than 10 damage in a single turn, anyone surrounding him also contracts that paranoia (can't tell friend from foe/ everyone looks like a terrifying enemy), at half health. If anyone with the virus reaches 0 HP, they can be KO'ed to be treated the same way. Anyone who contracts the virus also spreads it by dealing more than 10 damage in a single turn.Anyone with this strain of virus should post that they have the paranoia virus in bold goldenrod + in ooc below list its effects! This virus cannot overlap with the existing one.

The expected response set lips in a thin line. Any other time and she'd have requested his wishes, but now she continued walking closer, because he wasn't in his right mind, and leaving him be would only hurt him further. "I'm sorry," she murmured, as she approached him. "I'm sorry." For what he was feeling, for what she had to do to get him the help he needed. Speed was on her side, and she snapped a weaponless hand out to grab the wrist that was holding Laz. Him hurting her was not really her concern, but she would prefer if he didn't bury his cleaver into her head, or any other part of her body.

-- NOAH IS AFFLICTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS --Noah shook his head and tried to dodge past Peyton. "You're not, you were planning this," he accused, his voice rising. He wasn't quick enough to keep her from grabbing him, and he pulled hard against her hold, a panicky look rising in his eyes. "I don't, don't hurt me, I don't want to, to hurt you, I won't -- " Quote: He can't recognize friend from foe, and everyone to him looks terrifying. Peyton held on, maintaining her hold on his arm without the bite of digging fingers. "I don't want to hurt you." If he could have seen her clearly in that moment she looked absolutely miserable. It pained her to see him like this, tormented with every doubt he carried, intensified.
"I'm helping. I promise." Gently, she pulled, a continues force that would be difficult to fight against unless he was willing to lash out at her.

-- NOAH IS AFFLICTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS --Paranoia warped the unhappiness on Peyton's face, turning it to something more sinister in Noah's mind, something false and mocking. He twisted his wrist sharply against her thumb in an attempt to break loose, remembering vaguely that that was the weakest point of a hold. "I won't let you," he said again, his voice gaining strength and determination. Quote: He can't recognize friend from foe, and everyone to him looks terrifying. A second hand joined the first as he tried to twist away from her, reinforcing her grip before he could slip away.
At least he wasn't being violent. She had expected him to, dreaded it, but thus far he seemed determined to simply get away.
When she was sure of her grip again she moved to claim his other wrist, pulling on him again to drag him out of the stairwell so she could work on getting him back to decontamination room.

Rep's anger and outrage didn't let up one bit as Jordan retorted, it was only Harrison moving that stayed his hand, forcing him to drop the blade to rest in the ground. "If you don't ******** want to ******** stay because you want to stay, why the ******** would I come after you? You aren't a ******** PRISONER. You weren't escaping a ******** relationship internment camp."
Harrison was being melodramatic, he found himself thinking, which was weird, because Harrison wasn't normally melodramatic. "Well I ******** didn't. He's still COMPLETELY ******** intact." He hadn't even considered the fact that the other man might have had his shield down or been vulnerable, Rep had only thought that he'd been well enough to pick a fight and therefore had to have been well enough to deal with what happened when you picked a fight.
"And it's more than he ******** deserves, he ******** sniped me out of nowhere not even ******** five minutes ago and called me a ******** a*****e. I DONT NEED TO STAND FOR THIS ******** ABUSE."

Noah fought her grip with increasing desperation, but he couldn't break away; in front of the door to the decontamination room, he slumped and stopped fighting, and Laz dropped from his hand. The cleaver desummoned and returned to his totem form, growling a low note of disgust into his human's mind. Noah let himself be dragged limply into the room, though a spark of defiance started up in his face again as the tech took his arm. However, the antivirus took effect rapidly, and his eyes cleared, going startled and then shocked and guilty. He turned a sad-puppy look on Peyton. "Sorry," he mumbled.

"Speak of the devil!" Abbi chirped, more as a way to cover what she had just said about him, which was actually a pretty poor idea now that she considered it. That saying implied she had been talking about him, which was true, but the teen was banking on the fact that Leslie was not one to pick up on the phrase as she might have. "Yup! Just putting these things together for stuff... We should probably keep them... Just in case." Never knew what was around the corner and all... Somehow, the teen managed to put two connecting runes together successfully. "Hey! Look I got one! Wow Leslie, maybe you're like... A lucky charm or something!" The grumpiest lucky charm there ever was. Anti-Virus: 2/3

She hated every moment of the struggle to follower. It made her feel awful, like some bully that had found a wounded puppy to kick. By the time they reached the decontamination room her expression was grim, and she wasn't looking up at him, but down at her feet. At least until the fight went out of him and she pulled him easily into the room. There the techs took over, and Peyton watched as clarity returned, replacing fear with shock. "It's okay." She understood. At least he hadn't attacked anyone, his conscious was clean on that account. When the techs left him alone she let his wrists go so she could slip within them to wrap her arms around him, holding him tightly. "It's okay."

"Maybe I would have liked to know whether you actually ******** cared whether I was there or not," Jordan growled, still quiet but still furious. "And you're the one who didn't want me there and wouldn't even stay in the same room with me." He shook his head sharply.
"I wasn't thinking clearly, or I wouldn't have hit you. But you've been being an a*****e, and I'll stand by that. Did you ******** forget how shitty we were being to each other? Because you're acting like that never happened, and that's an a*****e move." He had turned back toward them now, hands clenched into fists at his sides, nearly vibrating with tension.

"I thought -- oh my god, sorry," Noah said, and leaned into the hug, putting his cheek against her hair. "I almost attacked you, oh my god, it's a good thing you got my hand -- I'm so sorry ... "

"You weren't yourself." Her arms tightened. "It wouldn't have been your fault." Head turning, she lay her ear against his chest, listening to his pulse as it hammered behind his rib cage.

"I was perfectly ******** reasonable." Rep snarled. "I tried to be accommodating but you just <******** off anyway. I tried to patch things up, you rejected me. Every ******** time you run away. I've chased you way ******** more than I ever intended."
He pointed sharply with his free hand. "You are just being ******** high maintenance. I thought you were ******** competent before. But I guess I thought a lot of ******** things before."

" Reasonable and accommodating," Jordan repeated blankly. "That's what you call keeping me two feet away at all times for weeks at a time and telling me you didn't want to talk about it and didn't want to give me any more chances?" His fists curled tighter and he was silent for long moments, staring at Rep in honest disbelief. Then he seemed, suddenly, to remember that there were way too many other people around, that they were having this too-personal conversation in public, and he glanced around before he returned his gaze to Rep. "Looks like we've got a whole lot of s**t to talk about. If you feel like talking now," he said, forcing his voice flat and even. "If you do care. If it matters." He looked to Harrison then, embarrassment and apology and stubborn anger showing briefly through the calm face he was putting on. "Sorry," he said. "I was -- jealous. If you ... " He trailed off, and his jaw tightened briefly. "No. I still have things I want to talk to you about. But not here."
