It was annoyed, she could tell as it started to swing its heavy tail down near her head. It screeched looking for any chance to lash out at her as she continued to run as fast as she could from the beast. Her heart was almost beating in her throat as her lungs begged for a chance to rest from its hard work. Teeth snapping trying to reach the edges of her coat as she leapt over fallen tree trunks and debris that feel in the Jabberwocky’s path of destruction. Leaping to one side she tried to miss its snapping teeth as his tail crashed into side smacking her against the trunk of the tree. It was incredible painful as something somewhere on her body made a nasty cracking sound. Slinking to the ground she rubbed her side before scrambling to her feet and having to start the running all over again.

Her legs started to feel like jelly as she tumbled forward down a hill, the creature still failed widely looking for anything to satisfy its anger and teeth. Trees were whispering in fear as the beast’s eyes saw her again and lurched forward its gaping maw open to snap her up. She fell again only grazing its teeth before getting up to her feet and breaking out in a full out sprint away.

Mercurial raced on, half-expecting teeth and another respawn, until it finally dawned on her that (a) she seemed to have made it out of the forest (its darkest tangles, anyway) in one piece and (b) the Jabberwocky was no longer in hot pursuit.
Sheer momentum kept her jogging for a while even after the realization. Slowing down felt wrong somehow -- oh, wait, were those rewards? That made up somewhat for the earlier ordeal, but the Jabberwock's snapping jaws were going to haunt her for a while yet.

Zar frowned. "Attack class. I really did choose arbitrarily. I sincerely hope it never comes down to relying on me to actually fight anything." He adjusted his hat and re-fluffed the feather.
"At least we are good at running. I dread what else is in this forest, I don't know which was worse, the grumpy monster or those trees. At least in Amity there are plenty of the former."

She went left, picking the object up and admiring it for a moment before moving on. ((Attempt 3)) AllUrLoots manage to keep just ahead of the snapping jaws, but tripped and nearly fell over all of the tree parts the beast was breaking off. Rodney was already kind of a mess. He had accepted a guild invitation. That was okay.

He had since departed from the side of his temporary comrade, looking over his weapon as it seemed to have a familiarity to it yet...it was so plain and normal. Perhaps he had lingered on this too long as he found himself in an even stranger part of these woods, standing at the center of a clearing as the deathly silence was the odd thing to catch his attention. He looked around, yet...this particular area was so quiet..so still.
The moment he turned to face forward, however, his face was met with rows of razor teeth descending upon him rapidly, and although quick, he did not go without a mighty painful hit in his reaction to the sudden appearance of this monster. He was in so much pain as his back hit the ground, although he did not bother to linger in that same spot as he immediately began to dart in a seperate direction.
The chase was on. AllUrLoots didn't know how long she had been running when she realized that she could no longer hear the monster behind her. She stopped, then turned to look for it. "Helloooo?" She called out, her ears tilted forward as she waited for a reply. When none was given, she decided that she was safe enough and continued on her way. Finally, after what felt like an hour of running Lass had finally lost the large stumbling beast somewhere deep within the colored woods. Collapsing to the ground moaned in pain, “no more no more no more running please.” Several deep breathes later she got back up to her feet and pulled the hat off her head and fanned herself as she tried to get out of the evil woods.

He huffed through gritted teeth, feeling another painful blow, one that was nearly enough to make him trip over himself although he did manage to keep it moving. He couldn't hear that thing following him anymore as he looked over his shoulder. So far so good...but what was this now? This area was highly reminiscent of that forsakened lake as he made the mistake of stopping, swayed by the voices and lured by their temptation.
