Herryk was a looming, brooding presence next to the skreejay booth. Massive arms crossed over an impossibly broad chest as he narrowed his eyes, watching Freya watching JD ... and then watching JD contort his body in rather grotesque ways against a ghoul he didn't recognize. Then back to Freya, talking to some boil he didn't know. He wasn't sure how he felt. So the draugr just kept silent, standing where he was, watching the goings on with a mixed look of disgust and intrigue.

"You know of course there will be another rematch?" Ulmuka giggled and also wiped his mouth with a napkin. "So that I may take you shopping." He looked a bit excited, devilish even. SHOPPING WAS HIS FAVORITE THING. "Yes we can go swimming. I haven't swam before so it should be interesting." he glanced up and caught sight of Lattice and Petro. He cast a hand up to wave. "Here comes Petro and your sister!" He chirped happily and patted her hand. "Seems they've also got food."

"Actually he might be right about it being a Hex, glitter is the Mold of the Arts and Craft world....." He reached up running a hand through his hair tossing it aside, a slow shower of sparkling glitter raining green and black from it as he did so.
"Again you may thank Jack-B-Nimble King Of Cats, Wayward Souls, and other assorted bastards odds and ends."
Turning to Thanatos he only grinned, "Such is the price of good humor my rarely amused companion. Best yet, your date really doesn't mind..." Turning to watch Amphi he only nodded in confirmation. That face was all he needed to know the ghoul was enthralled with her current situation.
"And no little one," he reached over patting Tseng on the shoulder, "It washes out for the most part. Nooooow if you all will be as so kind to let me run free of your company..." He made sure to stop before Amphi taking her hand for but a moment to raise to his lips kissing the back gently on the knuckles. "I must go and cause chaos and happiness else where."
And just like that both Reaper and Cat where gone leaving only a faint trail of glitter in their wake... and the random inky paw print.

It wasn't permanent. That was good! Tseng looked towards the ghost 'trap', listening to her suggestions. Hm. He may have to make a trip to the bathroom and the refreshment table if that was the case. "I will attempt those! Thank you, young trap!" he said cheerily, though paused when she said she was emitting some sort of smoke that he was breathing in right now. The calming effect had prevented him from suddenly acting as if he was choking, but he was still somewhat alarmed. "A poison! How clever. How long will it take before we all pass out?" he asked instead, "And what's this about dancing?"Around then, two more students had come by. A dragon and an undead. How wonderful! All they needed was a reaper in this little gathering and he'd have all the non clan factions of halloween in one spot! "Tseng Lee! At your service," he grinned while bowing down to the three new acquaintances once Lizzy introduced them all to one another. He had caught that look Sheridan gave briefly, but didn't think anything of it. Especially since the spider demon seemed to be absolutely thrilled to hear the two newcomers were together. "Together? We have but just met!"

"Yes, I know this." She answered him, as he bent down to lift her up, an involuntary sound escaped from her lips as she was picked up. It was safe to say that Hua Lifen was not someone who enjoyed her feet not touching the ground. She would fly terribly. Of course, there wasn't much time for her to mull over this before Mengyao claimed her lips once again, clearing her mind, the focus taking over again on the Noble that was holding up with trembling hands.
A new feeling had been welling up for a while, and she decided that it was some form of personal desire to keep what had been building between her and her best friend. Well, she supposed, this would complicate the friendship, and a small part of her hoped that it would not ruin the bonds that they had built since childhood.
Semantics.
She wanted to stay like this, but the nagging feeling in the back of her mind, coupled by the voices reminded her that she had left Charlie back in a fit of chaos, breaking the dreamy haze that hung over her head. Frowning a little, she broke off the kiss for a moment to look at the doorway that went to the prom dancefloor, a serious look on her face.
Giving a soft sigh, she looked at Mengyao again, arms slacking a little as she let a hand rest on his shoulder, the other idly fixing his bangs, trying to dust out whatever glitter was stuck to him from his closeness with her. "I am a little worried about Charlie." She admitted, hoping he wouldn't take it seriously. "Actually, I am more worried about what may have happened after I left him." She figured something would be on fire, or worse, exploded since leaving the fallen angel - he was liken to a firecracker if left alone, and with all of the impressionable people . . .
Tilting her head, she gave a him small pleading look, "Would you help me make sure nothing has been destroyed?" She asked, before allowing herself one more small kiss, this time on his forehead, a term of endearement she seemed to have reserved for him only.

"You are doing wonderfully," she replied with a small smile as she accepted the cup of drink and seemed relieved that she wasn't boring her date because of her mild-mannered behavior thus far. Not that she was beyond pranks and mischief - she just never saw much reason for it.
Blinking behind her mask she let Petro lead the way toward the Ulmuka and Needle her head tilting a bit to the side. When attention was called to her and Petro she offered a small smile toward Ulmuka and then shifted to move closer to her Twin, "It seems like you are still enjoying yourself, I am glad." Her tone held a bit of affection in it as she regarded her Sibling.
"Petro managed to get me to dance with him," Lattice told her Twin, simply because she knew Needle would want to know this.

Sheridan almost blushed, almost, the faintest hint of silver touching his ears, a twitch of his tail as Lizzy squealed over them both. Did ghouls always react like this? Not that he minded, not much anyway, it had however been...unexpected and perhaps a jar to his ears. But whatever fears Tess may have had were unneeded as he did indeed take it in stride. He couldn't help thinking he should say something, but he wasn't sure what... His attention again turned toward the horseman, this time with a genuine smile in his eyes. Though he still remained suspicious of the horsemen as a whole, his words of greeting had been sincere and not merely a matter of courtesy. Silently he wondered what clan Tseng was from, judging by clothing he would have guessed conquest, though on a night such as this it was difficult to tell. "I hope your evening has been enjoyable as ours thus far."

Kiwi smiled softly at Heidla's mention of them being like family. True, it was like Eisheth spoke, they all worked together, like one hive, one mind, in perfect rhythm and order. Though from the outside that order must look like chaos itself, in that aspect, they were very much like family.
"Yes," he chuckled, before taking another sip of his sourly sweet smoothie. "We are both family and one. Like a swarm of insects, side by side, together, working and sharing in the labors and fruits of life. ... And ... I honestly do not recall how long it has been, since I first met Eish." He gave her a grin and gentle nudge of his elbow. "She can be a bit stubborn at times, but a truer friend one will not find. As well, she's one of the best alchemists in the clan."
Fai soon wandered off, and somehow the topic of gnomes rolled around, and Kiwi listened as Mei and Eish exchanged opinions. He could understand Eish's side well. As cute and cuddly some of his own minipets seemed, at the end of the day they were respected for their working ability. In fact, the ones not suited for hard labor, remained in his tent to guard his belongings. On the other end, the gnomes did seem to be pretty capable of handling themselves. At least, that's what he assumed from what he had seen of them around the party. Kiwi became concerned though, the moment Willow decided to leave. She was a lovely boil, and he was a little afraid the discussion had upset her. Or maybe it was the death of the gnome ...
"I don't mean to interupt," he spoke, touching a hand to Eisheth's shoulder. "But I'm going to check on Willow. She is my date after all."
With that, he placed his half-finished drink down and disappeared through the crowd in the direction Willow had gone.

He knew she did not like heights, but Mengyao was not about to drop her, nor was he going to let slip this chance he had, considering that it might be the only chance he would ever get. One hand moved, cradling the back of Lifen's neck, Mengyao tilting his face to lengthen the kiss while easily supporting her one-armed - but she drew away, her expression troubled.
"...what?" he murmured, slightly dizzy, his voice a little hoarse. A part of his mind was screaming at him to stop, that this was Lifen, his best friend, the only person who had stuck with him after all this time, and that he could not afford to lose that bond. If he did, he would have no one - Yuzhi and Lan were wonderful, but no one was the same as Lifen was.
Another part of him was arguing entirely that this was a good thing, that he wanted this (he did - at least, he was pretty sure he did), even with all of the confusion and the raging thoughts and the complicated emotions that stemmed from what had just happened.
"I am a little worried about Charlie."
Mengyao's gaze flickered, his expression shifting almost instantly, closing off into one of irritation. He tried to ignore it, despite the fact that he himself had come here with one ghoul and was now kissing Lifen (he was kissing Lifen). He felt her lips against his forehead, and his eyes fluttered a little, pressing his own lips together. Slowly he let Lifen slide down until her feet were on the ground once more, and for a moment he stood there, his arms still around her waist, as though he were not quite ready to let her go just yet.
But then he did, dropping his hands away and reaching down to pick up the cane and the mask that had both been dropped onto the floor. He stepped back towards Lifen, tucking the cane beneath one arm, and moved behind her, tying the mask back in place on her face.
"I will help, yes," he said neutrally, and his fingers brushed the back of her neck briefly before he moved away, not touching her at all this time. It was not so much that she had mentioned Charlie - though he could not help but be slightly annoyed at that altogether - but the realization of what he had just done - what they had both just done - was starting to sink in, a small sense of panic and anxiety rising in his head like the voices.
What do I want?
What do I need?

Mac didn't answer her about why he didn't like her. To him, it was a stupid question; he didn't need to have a reason. Something about this ghoul had always rubbed him the wrong way, even if she did tear up a little when they first met. He chose to not acknowledge he'd even heard, though with their proximity it would have been impossible to miss.
"I don't want to fight you either." Dark eyes trailed up to her (so far behaving) hair. The last - and really first - encounter he had with her taught him to avoid that hair no matter what...and it was longer now. Much longer. Even styled he could acknowledge that. He did not want to go head-to-head with that hair, so to speak. "Plus, If I hurt you, I'll never hear the end of it." He sighed; spar or not, he imagined any injury he inflicted on the Futakuchi-onna would have reprocussions. Big ones. Junko, he imagined, would get off scott free.
And then Freya happened.
When the Valkyrie ran off screaming, the Reaper raised a brow, staring at Junko with nearly the same confused look she was giving him.
"Well. That was fun. I think someone needs to throw that one in the crazy bin." The idea of Freya being put as far away from society as possible made him happy, a grin forming on his lips.
"As for what we could do...I dunno yet. I'll contact you when I figure it out, how's that sound?" He had been dancing with her the whole time, and now he was going back to slowing down, ready to end it. It felt like they had danced for days, and he was eager to stop having to touch her. "Let's make this showy, at least." He suggested with a chuckle. "And I should let you get back to your boil."Needle nodded. "Of course! We need a tie breaker now, for best two out of three." She was quite proud of herself, being able to use this phrase. She read it somewhere, and always wanted to try using it. "But until you win, I will not go shopping with you." Now that she knew those were his stakes, she was determined to keep it that way. The maul was sensory overload, and while she trusted him there was something fun about making him work for the right to take her shopping.
"Oh?" The Engraver startled lightly at the pat to her hand before she turned, spotting the glowing tattoos she knew better than her own. "Hello! Please, join us?" She greeted them both, extending an offer she imagined Muka would be okay with. Her gaze naturally turned to focus on her sister, who was drifting closer. "Yes, I am having a lot of fun! I just beat Muka in an eating contest." Needle found herself giggling softly, but the news of Lattice's dancing made her stop and stare in awe.
"He did? That is fantastic! Lattice, I am so proud of you~" Affection seeped into her voice, reaching out to place a hand on her sister's arm for an affectionate squeeze, fitting expertly between those arm spikes. "Did you have fun?"

After having spent some time trying to get Riley up to speed and just spending time with her and Malodore, Jericho found himself back at Prom. Stepping through the doors, he paused for a moment as he looked over everything. It looked like things were still running pretty smooth. With a sigh, he adjusted his cloak, and made his way in slowly.
For now, he made his way towards the refreshment table to get himself a drink and maybe a small bite. From there, he'll... attempt to see if he could mingle. Granted, his levels of anxiety spiked up once more as he found himself around a large amount of people. Yes, this sounded good. He was going to need to update Shehk and possibly a couple others on Riley's current state too.
Once at the refreshments table, he grabbed himself a cup of punch and tried to get himself to relax once more.

There was a pause and a squinty-eyed stare as Mac said 'if I hurt you'. "...I bet I could kick your butt without even using my hands." She replied haughtily, even making a little 'hmph!' sound and closing her eyes as she lifted her nose into the air. If it was just a friendly spar she wouldn't have let anyone get mad at him if he banged her up a little, give her more credit than that Mac. Idiot. At his suggestion to throw Freya in the crazy bin she chuckled and shook her head. "She's having fun. And as long as she doesn't break anything it's fine." Because tonight was about the students having fun. The horsemen, too. "We're letting her play detective. I think she's enjoying her role." Giggling, Junko looked around to find the valkyrie again. No sign of her. Oh well. "That sounds fine..if you don't have my number," and why would he? "You can always just get it from Lizzy." Because Lizzy had every way to get a hold of her. All the things. Though his next suggestion confused her a little. "Showy?" Did he mean the dancing? Junko wasn't sure if she wanted to be showy dancing in this dress...that'd just be embarrassing. Ah! Yes! She'd promised she'd return to Seiji! "Hmm, yes. I'm sure he's...oh." There he was over there dancing with Shehk! She smiled. Good, he'd listened to her. She'd let him finish his dance. "Oh well. I'm sure you want to go thoroughly wash off all evidence of me touching you~." She shrugged, letting go of Mac's hand.

Well, at least he wasn't calling her a lady anymore. Tseng was kind of endearing in a really animated way. "Not very long at all," she replied, abnormally cheerfully, when he asked how long before they passed out. "... if it was really a poison. It's not, unless I get my essence on you." She held out her arms, exposing the skin of her upper arm so that the glow there was obvious. It was the stuff underneath that was a problem. She had to break the skin to use her FEAR.
Amarus had been very seriously considering how to remove the glitter from Tseng's skin, and was just in the middle of suggesting alternatively: "It's probably never going to come off. You'll have to take off the top layer of your ski--" Someone called Lizzy's name, and approached them. Amarus bowed automatically, and didn't straighten until the dark-haired ghoul spoke, to ask if she was interrupting.
She would have answered then, too, but Lizzy did a good job of that and Amarus was pretty happy to remain silent. Finally, she managed to squeeze in another bow, bells ringing, and say: "I am happy to make your acquaintance, the two of you, and congratulations on your, ah, relationship...?" Amarus trailed off with a ? tone not because she didn't understand they were together, but rather because she realized that maybe it was weird to congratulate them like that. It's just that it seemed like a feat to be able to get so close to someone without trying to absolutely end or wreck them.
Amarus was like a hair shy of being a truant, basically. She only ever attended solo classes, mostly because she slept through whatever else. Actually, it was kind of a miracle she was getting anywhere at all. Slacker if there ever was one, academically. Her fighting skills were constantly improving, however, and she kept herself active and fit whenever she hadn't passed out thanks to her Lotus essence. When Tess asked Are you two here together? Amarus snorted, looked over at the Horseman covered in glitter, and burst into laughter. He'd already answered for her, so she took an extra second to calm down.
"Sorry, that's not what I meant, I just mean..." she straightened up, looking gravely serious again, shook her head, and added, "he's just so covered in glitter... no one understands why I laughed, do they," she acknowledged, with a sigh. She clapped Tseng on the shoulder. "It is still a pleasure to have met you, even if we are henceforth sworn enemies," she lamented.
"I came here alone," she finally supplemented to the others.

"I'M A GOOD GHOU-OOF." Freya had flailed all the way to the DJ booth, but somehow she'd missed that the black wall she was about to run into wasn't a wall at all. She blinked and looked up at her boilfriend, before giving him a dopey smile. "Hiii, Herryk." She drawled, holding her hands up. "I'm a good ghoul."..She was a little obsessed with that phrase at the moment. But no amount of peer pressure was going to change her resolve, jackdamnit.

Herryk grumbled softly, the sound vibrating through his broad chest. "Herryk is not convinced." One thick, dark brow arched upwards. There was no smile on his lips. Okay, that's a lie. There was totally a smile threatening the corners of his mouth.
