██████████ ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ Thien remembered a time, a long time ago when she had difficulty smiling to anyone. Her face was always stuck in a stoic, reserved look and people had to constantly ask if she were feeling okay. But it wasn't until Kasem taught her to smile, that she began to smile as much as she did. Her Southern side seemed to be coming out a lot more than it usually did and to be honest, she was fine with that. "Thank you," She mused once more, her smile widening for a moment longer before it fell back to her reserved look as she picked up her heels into her free hand and continued up the hill.
Once they arrived at the tree she wanted to sit under, Thien did just that. After adjusting her legs at an appropriate angle and draping her skirt over her thighs so they were covered, the nation let out a sigh of relief as she leaned back against the tree's trunk. "My day just feels like every other while I'm here," She told him after a moment, opening her eyes and turning her head so she could face him once more. "Except I haven't seen anyone from our side of the world for a few days, even Kiku and YoungSoo. I'm actually worried for everyone, that maybe coming to this school was a mistake." She paused for a moment, looking down to her lap as her hands fiddled amongst themselves. "I don't know, maybe I'm just over-analyzing things again." ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ Out.Of.Guerilla

"Hm...I don't know where YoungSoo might be, but knowing Kiku, he's probably busy studying somewhere, ana~," he said. "I'm sure we'll see a few of them at the festival tomorrow," he added thoughtfully, pausing for a bit. "But...You know, I'm glad we did come to this school," Kasem added. "It gives us a chance to mingle and learn about other cultures, ana~. And make new acquaintances." He smiled. "And, of course...I always enjoy spending time with you and the rest of our family." He folded his hands in his lap, gazing at the ground in front of him for a bit before returning his gaze to Thien. "A measure of concern is good, ana~. But it's also good to be able to relax a bit, and I think you've been doing better with that. ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ ██████████ Thien leaned forward as she lifted her knees so her legs were bent in a forty-five degree angle before she rested her elbows upon her knees. Smoothing out her skirt over her legs with the palms of her hands, she then let out a light sigh as Kasem began to speak to her. When the festival was brought up once more, she tilted her chin downwards and stared off into space. Kasem's right, right? Just because they have been missing school doesn't mean they'll miss something as important as a mandatory festival, right? She lowered her head more and almost groaned under her breath as her mind continued to be clouded with more negative thoughts. Her forehead almost touched her knees at this point as Kasem continued to speak about how he was enjoying the new school and how it was helping the countries connect with each other. Her eyes then fluttered open as she slowly uncurled her spine, sitting straight once more next to her neighbor, her golden eyes finding his own. "Lý do duy nhất tôi nụ cười là vì bạn Kasem," She mused softly as her hands fidgeted against her legs before she regressed them into her lap, now leaning back against the tree that was behind the pair.
"Long before my country was split in twain, as a child, Yao almost never let me smile. The only time I remember smiling was when I had this frog names Hu'ng, but he was killed the same day I found him. I don't remember smiling again, until I asked you to teach me." She turned her head back towards him, staring at him with those golden orbs of hers, before she faced forward once more, staring off at the view before them. "It's really good to have family around here, it's a lot stressful than back home. I feel like I don't need to be as serious; I don't get nearly as many headaches here as I usually do." She looked down to her hands once more, running her fingertips across some scars that have come from working the rice patties or while in the heat of battle. So if I never told you, thank you Kasem, for allowing me to smile once more." Kasem blinked before he felt heat rise in his face. He hadn't been expecting that from Thien...Though he did remember those times when he had tried to get her to smile. He never regretted that, especially since she had gotten quite good at it, as she proved to him now. Kasem chuckled a little and smiled back, nodding. "You're welcome...But most of that was really you, ana~," Kasem said. And it was true, at least in his view...All he had done was given Thien a push in the right direction. After that it had been a matter of Thien continuing to smile for herself. "I'm glad you're feeling less stressed here, ana~," he added genuinely. He could only imagine what Thien had experienced from her country splitting in two, and he was happy to hear that she had been able to relax since then.
After a while, Kasem took note of the setting sun and turned to Thien. "It's getting late...We should head back, ana~." He stood up and extended a hand to help Thien to her feet. "Shall we?"❈ ░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓░▒▓ ❈ "Diplomacy is the key, ana~?"

The Rebellious Sophomore Luz Maria was in the park, walking her chihuahua and her Mexican hairless. She heard her cell phone ring. "Hm? A text?" She opened it up and checked her inbox. It was from Georgia, Alfred's state. She shook her head and sighed, they already had a wild time yesterday. She sent abck a message.
"Sorry, it's Sunday. It's the one day of the week where I don't go to parties. I'm sure you know why. Sorry."
Once she sent the text, she closed her cell phone. It was a bit sad that she hadn't seen Elizaveta or Amureen in a while. What happened? They used to be so close. Maybe her sister and new friend would like to spend some time with her. She opened it up and sent a text to Chesa and Picardy.
