Heh. Found out about that a few months back, and started playing Mortal Kombat because of it. I can't play that often, though, only when I go to my cousin's condo to spend the weekend or something - and that's not every week...
The idea's plausible... but Rei really seems to be more of the martial arts type...

XD I watched the movie and started playing from that. I fail at playing the game itself but it's funny to watch and wince as I get mine arse kicked roundly.
I don't think Kai would have enough... not patience but similar (blonde day). I reckon he'd try it and decide that since he can't master it in less than a week it's obviously stupid and why would anyone do it XD
Kai's such a brat in my head. And I can't figure out if I'm the only one who sees it that way

Kai can be brat sometimes, that's true. And yes, he probably wouldn't have enough... patience (can't think of anything atm) to actually go and try ninjutsu or any martial arts - they take years to master, and dear Hiwatari doesn't seem fond of learning something he can't master in a week (a month, tops. Maybe). Meh.
But speaking of ninja, he strikes me as the type who'd carry around just that type of weapon...and I reckon I've found the perfect one for him. The ninjato. Usually it isn't only one weapon, but has a few smaller ones (like shaken and kunai) concealed on the weapon itself or in the scabbard.
Like the one my comic class teacher brought in today! blaugh It was actually shorter than its scabbard, because some knives were hidden in a secret compartment at the bottom (not all ninjato have a secret compartment), plus the scabbard itself could be made into a weapon (a short javelin). You'd have to be very quick, changing weapons in practically the blink of an eye, and seeing as Kai's playing style usually consists on changing strategies and pulling off winning moves in a split second, it suits him (or maybe that's just me forcing him to fit the weapon sweatdrop ).

LOL at the idea of Takao as a master fighter. (Master anything in general, really)
Persistence? Would that be the word we're thinking of? (At least we're on the same page even though we can't find the word XD)
*nods sagely at weapon choice* I think that would probably suit him to a tee. The only weapon I can think of at the moment is Kai with a big-arse Croc Dundee style knife. I have no idea why but I think it would please Kai that his knife was bigger than anyone elses (ESPECIALLY Tyson's)
*realises has switched from Takao at start of post to Tyson at end* XDD

XD Don't think I've played any of them, actually.
I'm a very lite-gamer. The last platform I bought was a Nintendo 64 and, despite lusting for a Wii I don't think I'll be getting another one anytime soon

Magical, I guess. XD
I have no idea- the only explanation I can think of is that I keep my status hidden from everyone and this sometimes translates to being offline.
Also sometimes translates to being online. You never can tell XD

Still prefer the "I'm Magical" Theory, though.
Makes me feel much more special.
Random Question: Do you know anything about Australia's involvement in the Iraq conflict and how it is different and/or similar to it's involvement in the World Wars?
Modern History assignment. Draft is due tomorrow and I'm 700 words under the limit gonk
