Kaz kept the grin on his face... he loved everything right now. Espically the pretty lights...."I like it more than the way i feel Off the drugs... thats a bad feeling when im off the drugs, but now i never need to worry about it agian. you know you should get some of this stuff too... its grrrreat!!" Kaz looked around happily and wide eyed and grinning, everyting was so shiny and wonderful... even the bedpan seemed like a new friend waiting to happen.

Skylar got up, somewhat agrivated at this kid; didn't he know what drugs like that could do to him. She slowly made her way to beside him, just looking down into his face. She seemed to feel disgusted at him; like he was nothing more than a drug adict that had nothing better to do. "You'd be better off without those drugs," she repeated, her tone somewhat cold and harsh; if he didn't listen to her, listen to what she said and questioned why, then she'd have to become drastic and try the only other thing she knew of, to attempt to get him off the drug. It wasn't much, she knew, just a little pain to his face perhaps, but she felt that she couldn't just leave while she knew this kid seemed to be hooked on the drug.

Kaz looked up at this girl really seriously... she told him that he was better off without the drugs... that he was better off feeling a constant wave of depression and anxiety, feeling like everyone hated him completly and utterly at all times. She was telling him that he was better off feeling like crap and living for a long time, than feeling great and living for a short time...."listen... i know youve got my best interests at heart, but at this point in my life, I'd rather die youngee and make my last few yers happy than live to be old and suffer constantly like i have for the first 18 years of my pathetic life... dont lecture me on how much life is worth, you might as well be trying to teach a blind man to appritate a sunset..."

Skylar turned her head, looking at something on the wall, laughing for a moment. Biting her lip, she closed her eyes, turning her head back to him before opening them. "Yes, but there is indeed a blind man who can 'see' sunsets in a way, so i guess it's possible," she retorted, hoping she made his mood shift. "As for living, don't you think that there is much more out there for you. I mean, yeah, you're life could have been hell before you came here, but things are different now... at this school," she started, her voice seeming to grow in reason. "Most people who used to be cold are now very sweet and may have even found a sibling they never knew they had," she started, smiling faintly remembering Kai for a moment, "and I'm sure you can make some friends here..." she said, not wanting to go over board with examples; surely he wouldn't be dumb enough to continue arguing with her.

Kaz looked plainly at her... what was she, one of those wack job christian drug councelors."Listen, at 16 I was resposible for the death of my parents, my siblings, and my entire village, and for the 16 years preceding that I was literally trateated worse than a slave, and for the two years afterwards I was shuned from 'nice place' to 'nice place' without a second thought. Between the guilt I feel for all the people I've killed, the self loathing I feel for actualy careing about those scumbags, and the sever mental disorders I've developed because of the way I was treated, I would rather stay on the drugs... atleast then I'm numb to the pain." Kaz sighed and relaxed back into his bed, a nurse came in and made hilm turn over onto his side. He complied nad she cut away the bandages, and took them off, revealing the massive damage done to his chest. The bured and melted flesh around the edge of the wound, the almost inexistant muscle underneath the flesh, and the shattered, distorted, warped, or vapourized ribs that lie underneath, punching jagged holed in his allready damaged muscles. The nurse reached in and removed some of the shards and set some of the ribs, then she re=wrapped the wound and disposed of the old bandages and left.

Skylar stepped aside, allowing the nurse to do her job. She watched closely and seeing the wound, she just looked down at it before taring her gaze away when she attempted to rewrap it. She closed her eyes, head lowered to the floor, as she listened to the nurses footsteps fade. She opened them slowly, gazing back at him. This kid wa refusing to listen to reason, and she couldn't help but feel like taking action. But, what could she possibly do? It was a hospital after all. Il est dificile, she thought, right hand clenching by her side. She shook her head before looking back up at him. She just stood there, staring at him for a few moments before the hand that had clenched rose up and suddenly came down fast, attempting to slap him.

Kaz saw the hand coming... but the drugs has slowed his reaction time and it made full contact with him. He didn't feel it though, too numb, but involuntarily he let out a pain bolt, aimed right for the lady who was lectureing him about his new found love for drugs.
Somthing else happned though after she hit him, he felt angry... he hadn't felt angry since he was a toddler... he felt like he really did need to make an active effort to hit her back for hitting him.. he felt bloodlust and anger, and he liked it.

Skylar's eyes widened as she saw the bolt heading for her, but was too late to avoid it. Within an instant, she started to glow- although it was too late to protect herself- it had made contact with the upper part of hr body, causing her to fly backwards into a wall, head first. There was a loud bang as her back made contact, before she slid down the wall, ending in a sitting position. Her head lolled to the side, her body limp; she seemed to have fainted. Her clothes seemed to be slightly lit with blue flames, curling away part of her shirt, where the barrier she'd bearly had time to accomplish, had been. The flames licked at the color of the barrier, following it aroiund that part of her body.
[[she's wearing an undershirt, too, so dont' think she's wearing just about nothing; it's still there, too. ]]

Kaz grinned wide... He got up out of bed and walked over to the girl, hobbeling over to her with the IV pole. He squated down and took one of the needles out of his arm, the one marked demerol. He then took it and put it in her arm. He then grunted, and lifed the crazy lady on his shoulder, hauled her over to the bed, tucked her in, and climbed in after her after putting out the blue flames.

Skylar was only somewhat conscience to what was happening. She did, however, feel the sudden injection of a burst of liquid into her arm, which flowed through her body within a matter of seconds. Ne...deja, she thought, still not actually awake. Her body refused to listen to her as she attempted to open her eyes. Just a flinch of one of her fingers would do, but nothing seemed to happen. She couldn't help but feel like she was in the same state she'd been in just as she slipped into the coma two years ago.

Kaz snuggeld up back under th covers for some rest, he wasnt feeling as good as he should have and figured that he had done some damage to himself when he picked her up. Ah well, just more time with easy access drugs. He slept soundly, it was the first night in his entire life where he hadn't cryed himself to sleep...

Skylar's eyes slowly fluttered open. She turned her head, feeling someone next to her to see Kaz. She just store at him in the darkness which seemed to be ebing away ever so slightly, as she tried to remember what she was doing there. She bit her lip, moving away slightly as she remember that he'd blasted her. She winced, as well, feeling something in her arm. Quickly, she pulled out the IV, disgusted that she'd been injected with drugs again. She let the needle and tube drop as she let it go, watching it dangle a little above the floor. She quickly glared back over at Kaz, until she realized he looked peacful; how could she possible attack someone like that? She sighed as she rolled her eyes before she pulled her legs up, hugging them to her chest; she'd just have to wait for either Kai to come and get her, or for Kaz to wake up.

Kaz rolls over in his sleep, the IV falling out of hs arm, and he wraps his arms around Skylar's shoulders and hugs her close to his distroyed chest, nuzzeling at her neck in his sleep. He was talking quietly in his sleep as he did so, somthing about finally being at peace.

Skylar's eyes widened as he pulled her close to him in his sleep, blushing. Kai est aller penser.... she started think, not even wanting to know. She eyed the IV that had fallen out of his arms, wishing it wouldn't come any where near her as she clenched her fists, not wanting to agrivate his wounds by pushing him away, shutting her eyes. She hoped he'd wake up soon and realize what he was doing; she felt uncomfortable with the position the two were in, especially since she was with Kai. Quelle fait-il, she thought.

An hour passes and the drugs start to ware off. Kaz, now freshly undrugged sarts to suffer from the vicous nightmares that had plauged him his entire life. He starts to toss and turn in his sleeps, small whimpers escapeing his lips as he slowly starts to cry in his sleep.
