'Pay me back? How could anyone possibly pay a person back for this?' she thought to herself, before sighing. "Well..." she said, looking at him. "You have a sister? And she's a vampire too or what?" she asked, "How come she didn't help you find someone else...?" she was pretty much trying to avoid saying yes, though she knew she was probably one of the last few humans still left on the ship.

Karla moved her legs over to the side of the bed, stood up, and walked over to Travis and Karla. "Is that alright if I go with you?" she asked Travis.
Ellie was still surprised at what Karla was saying.

She winced, taking a small step backwards as if starting to run, but guessed she could do this. 'Its all right... it might just be painless...' she knew it probably wouldn't be true. She closed her eyes, and tried relaxing, though it didn't help. "All right, just get it over with already..."
