As the forest somewhat entered a bliss silence, nothing calm about it though, Rayne had just sat at the corner of the cliff, looking down at the deep blue below. She had a nice view thanks to the bright sun, there only a few white, puffy clouds in the sky, it near azure.
Her feet resting on a small perch below, one just the right size for the size, the pants let off almost a dark dust, tears carrying off with it. Kasumi said he wasn't dead... but where was he if he wasn't? Those words seemed so calming to just play over and over in her head, 'He's not dead..' but the wounds wouldn't heal... he wasn't coming back.
"Jay, I would follow you to the ends of the earth, just to sore freely with you, but I want more than just one chance with my life... Let this be my fifth, I don't care, but they do desire far more than what I could ever give them. I know I'm here with all these people, I just can't help but feel life for them is going to be so much more worse than it was for me... If Kas's words are true.. please come back to me now." She wept, the longs sleeves covering her arms bunched up and held tight in her hands, then covering her face, her emotions.

Kimache. Rayne. -Kratos called out as he landed gracefully on the ground and stared at her apparent sister-in-law. He walked up to her and then gave her a solemn nod, introducing himself-
I am Kratos. Jay's older brother. He went missing earlier today. A great surge of energy was produced. I went to investigate it. Obviously the two have something in common, so I'm here to help you find your husband. -Kratos then looked over the cliff and said- We...obviously can't climb down, so I ask you to please hold onto my shoulders -Kratos said as he slumped down some, his wings emerging from his back. Being 6'6, he literally towered over the woman. It was an awkward request, but it had to be done.-

Her head slowly averted from looking at the sky to the man who now stood in front of her. At first, she almost fell sideways, taken by his extreme height. And she thought Jay was the tallest she would ever meet.
"Kratos... I'm Rayne. I have no desire to search for a lost body, especially the one of my husbands." Standing up, it taking her some time, she slowly started to walk away, her back helping to support her back.

And she thought Jay was the tallest she would ever meet. "Kratos... I'm Rayne. I have no desire to search for a lost body, especially the one of my husbands." Standing up, it taking her some time, she slowly started to walk away, her back helping to support her back.
Woman! -Kratos said, begininng to grow impatient with the woman's tone.- Have you no faith in your husband? Would you at least take the miniscule amount of time it takes to take a quick flight down and back? I can see why he would do such a thing, if his own WIFE didn't believe in his very existance....

Seeming to be throw at a curve, she flinched when he called her... 'woman'. Not only did her dad do it.. but now someone she just met maybe five minute ago. Again, she turned around, a brief gust blowing her hair from her face. In the short time they had talked, her face looked almost swollen, cheeks drenched with tears, eyes bloodshot. She hadn't slept a wink since he had left her...
"Kratos, I don't want to go. I'm afraid that I will get my hopes up, and then... he not being there." Sniffling in, she continued, "I know that if he is alive, he will come back.. but I'm not going to see him for he must be away with other things on his mind. He would return when he wanted to." Wiping some of her chin in her shoulder, it an easier way to remove the water without lifting her hands from her back, all she could do was stand there, her current state recovering for yet the little movement she just made.

You must be unfamiliar with exphere's and their uses. I examined the cliffs that Jay had fallen off of and spotted a few shards of glass. Glass that had once belonged to his staff. If I recall correctly, that is where Jay kept his exphere; the source of his power. By merging his body with his exphere, he has put himself at a crossroads. Either the exphere can accept his body, like my exphere did mine, or it could reject it and kill him. If it does accept him, he will expirience powerful mutations...like these -Kratos said, extending his massive wings and giving them a flap- If he saw you...he may abandon this senseless quest of physical and moral perfection and go back to living the life he once had. I spoke with him the other day on this issue. He wants to win an upcoming tournament so he can support both you and your children. Now, I shall ask you again. Will you come investigate with me?

His words didn't seem to change her attitude what-so-ever. The outcome could have been the same as she had said, but he had just said that he talked to Jay... so he must be alive, right? Still looking depressed and gloomy, she slowly nodded her head, tired of making herself believe he was dead.
"I'm... Um... I'm a bit heavy." She admitted, two other living things on board and an extra forty pounds to that besides her average weight. "Kratos, do you really have faith that he is alive?" her tone was metso piano, maybe somewhat louder, almost incomprehensible. In her heart she always would know that he would never leave her, but for some reason, something turned off the lights to that compartment and nothing had been able to really turn it back one quite yet.

Ms Rayne. Your question is a tad misdirected. It means not to ask me if I believe he is alive. You as yourself the question. If you really think he is alive and present at this very moment...then I would not mind giving you a ride. -Kratos said as he noted the comment she made earlier about being a tad heavy- I am able to carry much more than just yourself Rayne, I assure you.

She was starting to get back the feeling that he was alive, but it was a dull sense still... awaiting to be brought out again. Face finally reaching a normal color, it once more turned a light red, him have commented on the weight thing. In her eyes, she was heavy... to others, they might kill to be her weight at that time. Hands no in front of her, ready to attach to his shoulders, she was now willing to ride of with him, her mind's thoughts still perplexed
"Please, take me to him then." She told him, it more so a question then a demand.

Once they lifted of the ground, her arms slipping around his neck, her being sensitive to almost anything. As they dropped, her sqeaze tightened, the feeling of throwing up staying with her, the quick pull up really hurting her. Quickly, she got rid of the feeling... but found herself being thrown into a portal. At first everything went black... was she dead? But then it started to become visual to her. Now standing, she ran a hand over her stomach, it being in some pain, nothing serious. Taking in a deep breath, her just thinking that he.. wasn't a vary gentle person, maybe that a side someone else would have to find.
Al she could think was 'Where am I?!' stomach still twirling into a frenzy.

A figure lay in the very back of the cave, curled up in a ball of pain. The center of his chest began to glow a bright white. His eyes shot open and looked to Rayne before he stood up and stumbled over to her, gently taking her hand. Coming into the light, it was easy to see the figure was Jay. Dried blood was all over his face and hands, but it didn't seem to go on Rayne when he touched her. He looked like he had lost at least 40 pounds, and now he looked like a compilation of sinew and muscle. "I...knew...you'd...come" He said weakly as he fell back and sat down "You must tell noone I'm here..."

She was so scared... Falling to her knees, all she could do was cup her face, crying as if he was dead... as if he was an illusion. Not being able to help herself, she literally lunged at him, her arms locking in a tight embrace around his neck, her not thinking about the pain it might cause either one of them. She did really care... none the less she didn't care if she got dirty either, that being something she was usually good at anyway.
"Jay, please! Never leave me again!" She sobbed into his ear. "Please don't... please..." Her voice started to die down, her head burrowing in the base of his neck, him smelling... really bad, but her not taking the initiative to care.

Jay heard Rayne's weeping and tried to console her, when all of a sudden he was taken in by a strong embrace. He winced in pain, since the little rib structure he had left was being crushed by Rayne's strength. He fell back, gently kissing her on the cheek and then saying
"Rayne. I never wanted to leave you...but I was plagued by questions. Every night I'd ask my self if...I could be a better friend...if I could be a better fighter..and if I could be a better husband. Every time I came to a conclusion, the answer would always be...yes. So that's why I pulled this little stunt. I wanted...to be better. To be better for the clan...my friends...and you."
Jay looked down in shame as he continued "I'm sorry...but I had to do this"
