Serena took the baby from him and put hernext to them gently letting her sleep. She pushed him over.
" Now what was that about everyone should be punished? does that include me?"

Shadow just breathed deeply. "I don't know. I just don't like sex being held as a 'privelege'," he said with slight annoyance. "I find it quite irritating that females will hold expressions of love over males head when males hold nothing back," he replied.

Dominic looked to her. "Homelessness, wanting a place where I belong, needing a job... Your pick. But either way, I'm here," he explained.

Dominic's mind reeled of that night. "How about I just show you," he suggested as his face opened to show a small t.v. that could play his memories. The screen began dark. Only a moon and a few stars. It was a very cloudy night of great significance. It was in first person from Dominic's point of view. He looked to the bending tree, the leaves and grass almost breaking from the srength of the wind. The sky lights up with lightning. There is a huge storm around him. THe perspective sits up to see the tornado off in a distance. Lightning striking like crazy. He stood up and began to run back to his house, ready to get out of the starting rain. Things blew around and were slightly shakey. Then you see a bright light as a bolt hits Dominic in the memory. Then in a third person, constructed memory for wwhat happened after begins to play. It looks like a newer memory, but is a continuation of the old one. A tree strikes him as the lightning knocks it over and the high winds throw it on him. He flinches as the limbs come down and knock his head to the side, making him a quadroplegic. His head then returned to closed. "I didn't wana be paralyzed and they needed a test subject," he explained about the hospital.

Mell put down her glass and fiddled with her hood ties. "Im sorry you had to go through so much." She too a moment to try to identify the emotion in his eyes, but was to inexperienced with those kinds of things. after a pause she carefully put together her words, "But it is curious, that you were a human turned into an elementalist. It's rare. Do you enjoy the powers? or would you rather be human?"

While they were running down the metal tunnel, lily heard something crank from far behind them then air began to rush in the direction they were running. "Its a water leak!!! run!" the tunnel stretched through the ocean ahead of them for onlly about a mile longer, but could they swim that far it water caved in?

Mell hesitated, spinning her glass on the tip of her finger. "I dont know love either, it was not to be part of my fate. But as a human,..." She paused the glass in midair before she took her finger away. It floated there while she hesitated to answer his question. She had never really thought about it, "If I were human I would love to go to school or have a family, or just belong in general. But whether it is envy or fear, they could never accept me." Mell touched the rim of the paused glass and it began to spin again in slow motion. She might have explained more but another question occured to her, "Nevermind my past, yours is much more interesting. With such a powerful recording device? Do you know how many you've killed?"

Serena made rough passionate love to him several time over. cuts and bite appearing on both of them through out. She finally stopped laying there next to him panting. her torso had scratch marks down it.

Serena smiled lovingly.
" That was perfect."

Serena stood up
" Do you think it is safe to come out of our shadow realm?" She picked up the still sleeping Alice.
