"Are ya jokin'?" he asked, sounding extremely crestfallen. This was just going from bad to worse way too fast. What next? The entire island going up in flames?

Jamal didn't notice Joli until he heard Antony speak. He turned his head, confused at first because he thought she was talking to him, but saw Joli's figure slowly approaching. Oh lovely...looked like a nice, bloody fight was what was next, not the island burning to cinders. He didn't say anything.

The woman didn't comment on Joli's first statement, but raised her eyebrows at the question. This girl better not ask her for help.

"Loads. In fact, President Bush stopped by to check up on everything, shot down a helicopter because his daddy told him to, and as a result, caused two people to burn alive." Antony said rather calmly. Why did everyone seem to think she knew what the hell was going on with this place?

She had every intention of making this difficult, for the sole, selfish, reason that while Antony was being a snarky b***h, she was beginning to feel better.

Joliette held in a look of exasperation even if part of what Antony said seemed semi-serious. "Sure ok" she replied simply. She did believe what Jamal said as he spoke "Kim? So that makes .." she pulled open her bag and pulled out her laptop powering it up and pulling up her file as she stood there. "Awen, Lauren, Kim, You two, David, Me and ..." she peered down at the sleeping woman "Her, that doesn't seem like many" she mused quietly. She typed in Antony's words too with one hand, she had a suspicion that there was a hidden seriousness in it.

...Antony did have a really good point. How DID Joli seem to have items like that? Hell, if he had any idea this was going down, the b*****d would have attached every bong, pipe, booze bottle, piece of clothing, and a good porno mag to his body.

He eyed Joli expectantly, also wanting an answer. This...was somewhat suspicious...

"I think," Antony started in a sing song voice, "That only if you had rigor mortis would you have held onto both of them while someone was depositing you 'in the ocean'. Last time I checked, the ocean and expensive electronics never really were the Best Friends Forever."

Yep, Antony was with Jamal, this was quite suspicious.

"Unless you weren't unconscious that is..." She added smartly.

"One, yes I was unconscious, two I was on a piece of hte hull of the rental yacht I got here in that Moreau took apart and no I have no idea how I got there, three the strap was over my head so the bag was on one hip while the strap was on the other side's shoulder, and four, if I'm going to buy expensive equipment you better damned well believe I'm going to buy expensive carrying items, in this case a bag that is water resiliant if not nearly water proof" ok now she was getting defensive, if she knew wha the hell was going on, she certainly wouldn't have asked Antony or Jamal if they knew

Jamal rolled his eyes, shading the motion with a hand so it wasn't outwardly visible, and sort of drifted into a semi-aware state. He was still hungry...wanted booze...and wanted a smoke. Sigh. This camping thing sucks balls.

Antony only smirked, eyes flicking towards the knife that lay next to her before she smiled sweetly, "Or what they're capable of ..."

And she just left it at that. Not like she would actually murder someone, but Joli probably thought that she was nuts anyways. Why not use it to one's advantage?
