Haradhel nodded. "Well ... I saw Lin here a second ago ... why not take her and the healthier children to the play room, there's a crate under one of the desks with all the clothes in it, there should be enough for all of them, you can get them changed while Lin plays with them or something. I'll get bath water ready, send the girls up first with their new clothes ... wait, don't change them, just send them up with the clean clothes, that way they can be clean when they put them on."
She was feeling strangely disoriented for some reason.
"Anyways I'll just head upstairs to get the baths ready, send them up as soon as they have clothes."
And she left the room and headed towards the stairs.

The children around Saki looked in the direction she was pointing, towards the door, then looked at each other uncertainly.
"What's out there?" a boy asked curiously.
The boy holding Saki loosened his grip slightly, just as curious as the other children.
Amdir nodded as the girl opened her mouth obediently. "Trust me," he murmured, "after a trip like that ... she's going to crash the moment she's in a bed."
He eyed the bandage. "What about a bath?" he asked. "Is it better if she waits until tomorrow? Adonai will have to put more cream on and replace the bandage won't he?"
At least, that was what he assumed, since Adonai had been spending so much time with Cindy.

Feng nodded turning to see if she could find her little sister, which wasn't hard as Lin was standing outside of the group of children, watching now Saki interacted. Skittering over, Feng scooped up Lin into her arms before making her way over to the children.
"Come on Lin, you're going to play with them."
"Out there is where the playroom is," Saki told him, "You play! Well.. there are also learning there, but you also play."
She smiled up at him.
"Hmm..." Cindy realized she hadn't thought about it, just thought about getting the cream on and making sure it was all bandaged up, "He will... though I don't know if she should be left like that too.. I hadn't thought about it."
Well that was a bit sheepish.

The children followed eagerly after Feng. Many of them hadn't seen toys in years, some couldn't remember anything about them except that they were happy things. The boy holding Saki also scrambled to his feet, careful not to squish her, but he hugged her to his cheek as he walked.
"Play?" he asked.
"Don't worry about it," Amdir assured Cindy. "Haradhel or Aliya can give her a sponge bath, the same for the rest of them, depending of course on their injuries. They'll be here until they heal anyways, we wouldn't dream of sending them home with the risk of them getting sick or dying on the way."
Aliya came up beside Amdir, holding a little boy. "Whenever you're ready," she nodded at Cindy, "I think this little guy should be next."

Feng led the children into the play room setting Lin down near the toy box. She took a seat on the floor so she could be closer to the children's height, and she smiled watching them all.
"Yup," Saki replied, "Play, have fun, giggle and laugh."
She licked his cheek giving him kitty kisses as he held her and carried her into the room.
There Lin was already waiting, as she got her sister to take out some toys like the blocks and dolls.
"Ah.. good," Cindy nodded before looking up at Aliya, "And who is this little guy?"
She studied the little boy for a moment as she got ready for another child.

The little boy giggled and followed the rest of the kids into the playroom, sitting against the wall and setting Saki in his lap.
"I like you," he grinned, stroking her from head to tail, including her wings. "You make me feel warm." And he nuzzled her nose lovingly.
The other children went to Feng and Lin and sat down with them. One of the girls picked up a doll and stared at it as if in confusion, while two boys stared at the blocks that were sitting on the floor. Another of the boys was staring at Lin as if she were a doll that had come to life. But all of them were silent, as if afraid to make any noise without express permission.
Amdir nodded to Aliya. "Go for it, we're finished," he told her softly. He rose to his feet and lifted the little girl in his arms. "I'll take her up to bed."
Aliya nodded, then turned to Cindy. "This little guy is called Maeglin," she said, "and he ... can't feel three of the fingers on his right hand ... and I'm wondering about his right foot as well, he says it's okay but he's got a pretty big cut that I don't even know how he was walking on it."
She lifted his foot to show Cindy the cut. It was a finger's length long, in the arch of his foot, and it was bright red and very inflamed. The edges of the cut were white.

"Oh I'm glad," Saki smiled nuzzling back, "I would be said if I couldn't do that."
She giggled a bit as she fluttered her little wings, her tail swishing back and forth.
"Uhm...." Feng really wasn't sure how to handle this, "It's okay, there should be enough toys for everyone to play, and I'll go and get clothes, and... uhm.. then we can get you clean."
Lin wasn't at all nervous as she picked up a block and tried to put one on top of the other, "Come on!" she told the other children, "We can play, maybe build a little village for the dolls?"
Since that's what she always did back home anyhow.
Cindy thought she was going to need more water, there was going to be a lot of cleaning to do. That was for certain.
"Okay... hmm..." Cindy looked thoughtful, "His foot is going to need to be cleaned, I don't like the fact the edges are white, so he's probably suffering from the same problem as the girl."
Though it could be a different infection she knew, "Could you also ask him if he broke his arm, fingers or hand where he can't feel it or if anything happened to it?"
It could be any number of things really she thought.

It was Donovan this time that came with the replacement bowl seeing as it was dirty and he was getting figety seeing as he had nothing to do. Though he sent Triton to go help look after the kids with Feng.
Though he wondered if that was a good idea, ah well the kids could pet Triton if they weren't afraid of the man.
"Here," he told Cindy, "Looks like there's going to be a lot of cleaning."

The two boys watched Lin anxiously, then reached forward together and took a few blocks, stacking them as Lin was doing.
"Is there enough to make for all the dolls?" asked the boy who knew English. "Make a big village, house for all the dolls?"
Another of the girls took a doll and spoke softly to the first girl, and both of them edged a bit closer to Lin. One of them asked a question, holding her doll out to Lin.
The boy with Saki grinned and hugged the little kitten. "Can you sleep with me tonight?" he asked her. "I don't like to sleep by myself."
Aliya was about to ask the boy she was holding the questions that Cindy had asked, but before she could do so he shook his head and answered for himself, "No break ... fall down on rocks, hit head."
And he tapped his forehead to show. His skin was clear, though - apparently the fall had been long enough ago that any outer damage had healed.

"Well..." Lin mused looking around.
Fortunately Feng didn't take all of the dolls out which was good and it wasn't like they were buried in dolls or anything like that.
"There just might be," Lin replied.
She turned to see a doll (which was about the size of her) staring back at her, the little Second looked up to see the girls there.
"Hmmm?"
"Well.. I don't think you'll be by yourself," Saki murmured, "But I'm sure for a night I can sleep with you."
Unlike Kaito she learnt how to sleep at night, probably because she always had something to do. She was not cat like enough to always take naps and she was a bundle of energy. Then again it could be because she was a kitten.
Cindy took a look at his forehead, she was amazed it healed over as well as it did. Gently she took his right hand and pushed up the sleeve to check it over for any cuts, though she wouldn't rule out head injury it had to be a very serious head injury to keep feeling from his fingers.

The girl nodded towards the doll and spoke a word in elvish, then pointed at Lin, then at her mouth, and then at the doll again, trying to ask what Lin called the doll. One thing she had learned as a slave was that language was important, and she wanted to learn the Common Tongue words for everything.
The boy holding Saki grinned and planted a kiss on the top of her head. It almost seemed as though he were trying to claim her as his own - at least temporarily. Amazing since he had been so terrified of her at first.
Maeglin had a large bruise on his right elbow, right over his funny bone, and when Cindy pulled his sleeve back he held it up to show her.
"Owie," he told her solemnly.

Lin scratched the back of her head for a moment trying to think on what the girl wanted. Her language skills were nothing at this point.
"Oh!" Lin nodded as she pointed to the doll, "Doll?"
At least she hoped that was the case.
Saki giggled and licked his chin in return. Triton came into the room and squated next to Feng, "Need any help sis?"
"Hmm.. Here," Feng murmured, "Nah... I don't think, well just help me keep an eye on them," she pulled out the box of clothes, "Here they are!"
Cindy blinked, he could have hit the funny bone nerve she wondered, "How did you fall?" she asked as she carefully have him bend his elbow.

The girl beamed as she lowered the doll to her lap and nodded to herself. "Doll," she repeated softly, hugging it to herself. She smiled at Lin and pointed at her next.
The two boys with the blocks looked up at Triton as he squatted next to them, but after traveling with a very scary looking elf and a human, and being brought into the same room as a girl with wings, and seeing a talking winged cat, his cat ears and tail weren't scary at all. The boy who only knew elvish turned back to the blocks and continued to play, but the boy who knew English tugged on Triton's shirt sleeve to get his attention.
Maeglin glanced up at Aliya, then looked back at Cindy. "Um ... fall down," he replied, shrugging one shoulder and bending his elbow as he was being requested ... though it was more Cindy bending his elbow than him, his muscles seemed dead, and he couldn't move his arm on his own. He pointed at his head again. "Not ... re'mber."

"Lin!" Lin pointed to herself, since that's what the girl seemed to be asking, and in turn she pointed back at the girl curiously.
Since she didn't know the girl's name at all, and it would be a start.
Triton blinked and looked down curiously, "Yes?" he inquired softly not wanting to scare the poor boy.
Meanwhile Feng went over to get one of the girls so she could find some clean clothes that might fit her. Recalling Haradhel wanted the girls first.
"Huh...." Cindy felt up and down the boy's arm looking for perhaps another injury other than the bruise.
Perhaps something dislocated or the like, not that she did not believe the seriousness of the boy's wounds previous to that, but the problem was if it was something of that nature she couldn't do anything about it.
"Were you dizzy for a while after hitting your head?"

The girl clamped her hands over her mouth and giggled loudly. She pointed at Lin and repeated her name: "Lin!" and then she pointed at herself and giggled again. "Lindis!"
The other girl meanwhile headed off with Feng to look for some clean clothes that would fit her.
The boy looked up at Triton and pointed at his ears and tail. "Are those real?" he asked curiously. "You really a cat man?" He reached out tentatively and poked at Triton's tail.
Maeglin looked up at Aliya curiously. "Dizzy?" he repeated, his confusion obvious.
Aliya translated the word into elvish for him, and his mouth opened in a little 'o' of understanding, and he looked back at Cindy. "I was sick for long, long time, I didn't even have to work!"
