Yet another success...
He probably was already under surveillance, after all he still had the original clan name...true, there hadn't been a successful clan member in his family for a few generations...so they wouldn't have completely suspected him upon tracking him down, but if they'd been watching him...
He was walking back up the tree now "If they'd been watching him, then after the incident...it wouldn't have taken a Genius to figure out that he'd awakened, and with the level of skill this stranger had show so far in tracking him down... locating him after his escape from the village wouldn't have been to much of a chore...come to think of it that was the first time he'd seen the stranger... if you put it all together like that, it sounded like that was the answer for certain...but Xenon was all to aware there were many other explanations... but out of all the conclusions he could draw...only two was he certain of. The person didn't mean him harm...and this person was a shinobi. Oh yes, the latter was definitely so...
Resting Post:
"Your greatest creation..."
Kimiko backed away, falling onto the floor of the room. "No...stay away from me!"
The object was drawing closer, it's darkness creeping into the room. "Why do you draw away mother? I'm incapable of hurting you...I only serve your will...our will... together we'll become the greatest Shinobi ever...just like you want...I'll make sure of it."
"I'll never, I'll never make you!"
"Of course you will mother...it's already been preordained...see you soon Mother."
Kimiko awoke with a start, her eyes lazy and oblivious. She rubbed her eyes like a sleeping child. "Aooooh.... wha...what was I just doing?" All memory of the nightmare was gone, all trace of any emotion she'd felt in it washed away. Not a single speck of it remained save in the very darkest corner of her mind...the same corners she still remembered the events that killed her real parents... "Oh! The Jutsu! Right!" she sat up feeling recharged and stared at the rock. "Okay! You ready to go!"

Xenon saved the last two leaves with a rush of speed, and landed...the stranger still watched unflinching.
Yes the stranger was a shinobi, there was no doubt. How else could they disappear and reappear so suddenly... how else could they sneak into a village like Otogakure and escape unnoticed...or maybe they were working for Otogakure...either way, they were a ninja. He'd also tested this on another occasion when he'd tossed a kunai at them...which they caught with in between their fingers... that, more than anything else, proved his theory. Yes...Xenon's pusuer was a puzzle most difficult to unravel completely, the problem was, he wasn't left with no conclusion, he was left with to many...

Two rocks sat beneath a tree, one almost an exact copy of the other, save a few sparse details. The two rocks faced one another down for a few seconds...before one of them oddly enough, sneezed. In a puff of smoke the rock became a rather pleased 13 year old girl.
Kimiko clapped excitedly "Yes! I did it again! Awesome!" she looked back at the scroll "It wasn't a perfect copy, but at least I've got the jutsu itself down... still..." Maboroshi's sneering grin appeared in her mind. 'Hm. You call that Henge, Momoe-san? How quaint MUHAHAHAHAHA-" Kimiko looked furious "Ahhh, stupid Maboroshi... I'll show you!!"

Xenon spun about rapidly, hitting each leaf with rapid succession, he stopped spinning in the air and stared at his pursuer... for a few moments... everything slowed... the stranger turned as Xenon hit the ground, still looking at him, but their body at an angle. 'Going away again? Just like that?' his eyes glowed. "I don't suppose you'd tell me who you are upfront..." he called, his voice even.
The stranger seemed unphased, and they stayed for a moment longer...before walking off behind a tree...and vanishing. Xenon stared off in that direction for a time...then turned back to the tree. "Hm..." another appearance... and nothing else learned. Typical...
He started to climb the tree. Some day he'd find out who that stranger was... whether they liked it or not.

Kimiko was ecstatic, she was finally getting the hang of this, she knew she could! She was almost exactly creating the desired image now, save a little warp here and there. She looked again at the scroll, she knew she was close now...just little more work... and then she could move on to the last jutsu!
She put her hands together, focusing her chakra as she had before. The trick was to completely concentrate on the object you wanted, picturing it in your mind...then molding the chakra around you in that shape. And to think she was having such trouble with it before... just a little more...

Xenon flipped backward off the tree, his fingers darting about hitting their marks. with a final twist in a the air he landed flawlessly. Still, his mind was acting on pure instinct and speed, his focus was still on the stranger. Looking around it seemed they'd gone...but there was always some paranoid notion in the back of his mind that perhaps the figure never left... perhaps they were always there... and he simply never noticed save on specific occasions. Still... this would add even more to the theory that they meant him no harm... he turned it over in his head... over and over...but still came to no concrete conclusion... he sighed. There was no point in dwelling on it... he'd just continue his training for now...

First Phase Completed
Kimiko burst back into her regular form, her eyes alight with passion. "Yes!! Yes! Yes! Yes!" She was dancing about the rock triumphantly. She finaly stopped to strike pose. "Such is the ability and prowess of ones who fights for true justice!!" her eyes were like fire as she pointed skyward. Passers by were staring at her, yet still she didn't seem at all phased or embarrassed. Kimiko wasn't actually all that socially aware, that is to say, she didn't often know how to read an atmosphere or conversation, this resulted in her doing rather odd and awkward things.
After ignoring all those eyes she clapped her hands together 'That was perfect, now all I have to do is see if I can maintain it for two minutes right?" She bent down and examined the scroll. 'Right...okay then... she stood tall. 'Time to finish this jutsu!'

Xenon was nearing the past the sixty percent mark of his speed training. But the speed training itself was only a single part of his efforts... after he was finished with it... he still had much to do... even if it all went well, it might be 9 days before he was finished... perhaps more it he got the mind to take it further... he was going to dominate the Genin exams if it took everything he had to get that level...he was completely certain of it...
After his training was finished...he actually thought. No, his training wouldn't be finished till the exams were over. He'd rest up the day before, but until then he'd keep working, even if he reached his goal.

Part II
The final part of the training is done much like the first. I picked an object for the students to transform into, by using the seal of the tiger or sheep, they would transform. After they did their transformation, I would make them hold it for 2 minutes.
Cp: -2 for successful transformation + -1 per minute held
Kimiko took a deep breath her eyes closing... okay...she could do this...this was going to be easy... she needed to hold it... it would take some chakra...but she could still feel a little more than half her power in her... and that should be more than enough... she quickly formed the seal. 'Henge!' The was an explosion of smoke... and Kimiko was suddenly...
Kimiko struck a dramatic pose. "That's right!" She said in an unbelievably cheesy voice. "Straight from his super and awesome Saturday morning show, a true hero, a spectacular role model, and a great lover of Teriaki shacks Teriaki pizza!" Her henged form struck yet another pose. "Fearless! Bold! An unbeatable master of JUSTICE!!" dramatic spot lights shone from above in her own mind. "That's right, the amaaaaaaaazing Captain GORDON! DEFENDER OF EARTH!" she struck an even more ridiculous pose. People in the general vicinity were looking at her in complete disbelief...
'Okay...now to just hold this for two minutes...' she giggled 'This is so cool!'

Ito gets off the bench and starts walking around the training grounds. He finds a post with a bulls eye on it. Ito stands at about 10 feet from the target, and takes out some shurikin and practices his aim. The first one doesn't even hit the post, in fact it hit a tree about 15 feet from the post. Ito not one to give up or be embaressed tried again and again. the next three each at least hit the wooden post, but did not hit anywhere near the target. Ito takes out some Kunai and tries his luck at those. The first one hits the very edge of the target. The Second one as soon as Ito let go the wind picked up and altered the flight path. Instead of hiting the target It landed 1 foot away from Ito. the third one hit right below the first Kunai. Ito was 1/6 at accuracy.

Xen was already thinking ahead, past his current ordeal, yet even so this training was not yet over. Though he seemed to have worked into a groove, the slightest mistake often made all the difference. He decided though he would continue to distract himself, the more he came to be able to use instinct the better off he would be when surprised. He checked the sun. He still had time... but he didn't think he'd finish his speed training today though... or at least he wouldn't expect himself too... if he did he'd just pleasantly surprise himself.

Kimiko stood in her pose, the form of one of her favorite super heroes henge'd around her. Other shinobi here to train just gave her quizzical looks before moving on. "This is great!" She only had one more jutsu to learn now, assuming she held this for another minute and a half. She'd master that one and then...and....then...well okay so she hadn't really planned it out but her training would be cool okay! Really cool! he brow furrowed though as she tried to imagine what it might be...
'Oh! Maybe I'll do 1,000 kick! Yeah! And then 10,000 punches! Then if I can't do that I'll walk around the entire vilage on my hands!" her henge'd form looked blazing eyed. The the cold stone fo reality hit her on the head. "Ooooh, there's no way I'll be able to work out like that...I need something that gives me a real edge...something more then just hitting stuff with my fists...'

Xen tussled his own hair. The leaves about him all struck...but more, two of them split in half. Xen caught one of the halves, his eyes dull. 'I'm definitely getting better... at a surprisingly fast pace too...' he raised an eyebrow 'I'll admit, I didn't expect my increase to be this rapid..." he tossed the half of the leaf over his shoulder. 'Curious though...' he was know walking up the side if the tree, his hands in his pocket. 'it's almost like I'm genetically designed for a shinobi life style... yet the Maboroshi clan only excelled in Genjutsu... that was actually pointed out in what he'd learned of their history. 'Maybe I'm just over thinking it...' he sighed.

Kimiko lept into the air in triumph. "Yes!" She burst finally back into her real form and clapped perkily, her hair bouncing as cheerily as she was. "This is awesome!" she gave a huge smile. "I've got to tell Mom!" she sped off her legs doing overtime despite how much chakra she'd expended learning the jutsu. Still, the undaunted teenage girl headed off toward her home in the housing district, her smile still large.
And why shouldn't she be pleased? The sun was bright the day was beautiful, and she felt like a million Ryo! How could she possibly suspect that her future would be anything but bright before her? How indeed.

But then...what if he wasn't...what if... but he quieted such thoughts. They'd do him no good for now. For now he just had to take things as they came, he'd unravel mysteries when their was time for it...
He saw a flash of burgundy flashing along the road out of the grounds. It seems Kimiko was on the move... she'd probably mastered one of the jutsu...or she'd finally snapped, either one was equally likely. Xenon looked out across the training grounds. 'The entire world is on the brink of something... turbulence still rests before us... yet I'm still ill prepared...' he put a hand over his face 'For all my progress... I still feel so weak...' he looked up at the clouds passing overhead. 'I suppose I'll have to just continue to be patient...I just hope the world will wait for me...'

Xenon fell through the air... his eyes closed as the leaves drifted around him... his eyes shot open, glowing with chakra. 'Of course the world won't wait...' his arms unleashed a intricate gambit, each move striking a leaf, no effort wasted. Finally he landed into a kneeling position... and three of the leave's split neatly in half. He was breathing heavily, his work out showing on him. He was sweating, but while he was indeed tired, his muscles tight from the workout, he still felt a satisfaction that stifled the fatigue. He stood tall and headed back up the trunk... His body seemed driven by his chakra now, his soul powering it on reflex now, enabling his muscles to push on with it's mere circulation. He knew he was doing well... but he couldn't let that swell his head...

Xen pivoted his foot off one of the branches and hit four of the leaves a second time, before rolling into a standing position on the earth below. He loosened the neck of his tight gray shirt relieving some of heat from the work out.
He was already somewhat a journeyman with precise targeting, that is to say, with Senbon, it was a concept his intelligence had helped him grasp. But at the same time he needed great agility to use them as a proficient weapon in battle. Xenon, as he'd noted early on in his training, wasn't that good at Tai-jutsu, so he compensated for this with his other skills. He couldn't rely solely on Genjutsu when he finally mastered one feasible as an attack, so Senbon would be a fine substitute...still he'd need to buy some, and his grocery tags he got from the village wouldn't cover such expenses...

Xenon hit all the leaves twice save one, and landed, his mind still planning ahead.
He barely had what could be called pocket money right now, about 7ryo from his D-rank mission... he'd need to find a way to make some money before the exams...another mission maybe? One with higher pay? He made a note to look at the mission posting after he was done training today, after all he might catch a lucky break. Besides the money, he had three other tasks for certain that he'd complete over the course of the next nine days. One of them was of course his speed training, which might continue over the course of the next three to four days. After that he would finally master do what he'd been studying for for many years in the academy. Mastering a combat grade Genjutsu...

Mastering a Genjutsu would possibly be as difficult as any test he'd put upon himself so far, but he was determined, he was certain that if he was able to have even a D-rank Genjutsu under his belt by the time the Exams came, there'd be no one there who he couldn't defeat with the right strategy. But more than that, he'd been preparing for this for a long time. Illusions were his very birthright, his blood limit, but since the day he'd instinctively used them, he'd never truly been able to master them. Shatter them perhaps, see through them, understand them, but to truly be their master, for them to obey him and serve his will, for them to assault his enemies... he'd not known such a feeling... but soon, after all this time, he would.
