Shannon rolled onto her side and wiped at the sweat at her brow. Now that it was actually cooling she felt warm but didn't want to leave the security of the blanket. Where was Sayid?

((Plane crash! ... oh, wait, already been there. xd )) Boone could tell that Claire wasn't confortable in thinking about her semi-recent past, so he didn't want to ask. Instead, he decided to make a more neutral comment, since he saw her looking out at the water, "It's pretty, isn't it? I can think of much worse places to be stranded."

Claire nodded and laughed abit.
"If you forget about the things in the jungle, this place is pretty nice. I actually like it alot at some times"
She sighed and looked back to him.
"Maybe we should ge back..or I don't know, maybe we could stay here for the night, if you don't mind."

((I'm stealing this from Prisoner of War, but an alien should show up and we should throw a party! LOL))
Sun was exhausted, but after her lengthy nap she couldn't find it in herself to sleep. Instead, she wandered out to the beach. The waves flowing in and out with the tide were peaceful. The sound was like a lullaby. Sun walked along the shore and allowed the water to lap up over her feet, cooling her down from the heat of the long day they had all experienced. The reflection of the crescent moon in the water was marred by the waves. Sun wondered if perfection existed in the world they could not touch. The intangible other side. The one reflected in the waves. She looked around the beach and saw that some of the survivors were still up and about, probably restless, like she was. Sun, however much she enjoyed the solitude, longed for interaction. Still, she kept to herself. Her acquaintances were numerous, her friends were few but good. Unfortunately, none of those close few seemed to be around. Instead, Sun walked back through the jungle and returned to her post on the rock at the mouth of the cave.

"Oh. I'd forgotten about those." Claire didn't seem too upset at Boone's slip up, but he knew it couldn't be pleasant for her to remember. With a smile, he replied, "I wouldn't mind. Whatever you want to do."

((well, okay, one more post... this will start me and Kiyo's idea rolling... heh...))
Sun stood up from where she sat on the rock, staring at the night sky. She decided to walk over to the waterfall. Sun walked there, her body on autopilot, and sat on the edge of the pool of water. She slipped off her sandals and dipped her feet into the water. It was just like the ocean, only warmer. She closed her eyes and inhaled the cool night air. It was going to rain soon, she could feel the ozone beginning to burn her lungs. In a way, Sun was glad. Rain brought life, like to the plants in her garden. The plants that she could now share the knowledge of with Jack. Sun mentally kicked herself. What was this? She was thinking about Jack again. There was no denying her subtle attraction to him. The man was a hero and he practically oozed pheremones. Sun sighed to herself and ran a hand along the surface of the water, blurring her reflection and stirring up emotions within the water to match the ones inside of herself...
((well, it's been fun, but I must really go for the night. I have a bio project to present tomorrow and I need my beauty sleep. I'll be online again tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully you will be too, Kiyo. This will be fun. Until then, fare thee well!))

Jack stirred slightly in his sleep, the smell of flowers floated through the night air and filled his lungs. He slowly opened his eyes and waited for them to adjust to the darkness... His heart raced as he turned toward the waterfall, to see Sun's outline in the darkness. He hesitated to speak, but words quickly flooded his clouded mind...
Finally his word's pierced the dark air, "Sun..."

Shannon slept heavily, her breath's light and easy as she twisted in her sleep, the blanket tangling around her legs

Sun was snapped out of her reverie by the sound of a voice floating through the night air. The voice, Jack's voice she now realized, was coming from somewhere behind her. Sun turned around and saw him sitting up on the rock outcropping on which he had eariler fallen asleep. Sun smiled slightly and beckoned Jack over to join her at the waterfall with a wave of her hand.
((well, I'm off to school now. I'll be online in the afternoon! [as if there was every any doubt LOL]))

Claire opened her eyes slowly and looked around her. It was still night but she didn't feel tired anymore. Boone, Leslie and her were laying on two blanckets placed over the sand. Claire looked at Boone and smiled. He looked so cute when he was sleeping.
