Something weak and ominous fluttered in the back of Trist's mind, but she ignored it. She was probably just worried that Chief Rivers would notice her and ask why she wasn't tailing Anthony and Rose.
She paid close attention to her boss as he took another, closer look at the back of the picture.

Cheiko was in her office, still. Not much, in fact nothing had really changed at all. She flipped through a manilla envelope, boring files for hits and kills and taking candy from children.
Chieko closed her eyes, and stamped "ACCEPTED" onto the entire file.

She did the same.
