Talon Suck it Pats! ******** you Boston! As a Bostonian, yes to both of these. East Coast overall, though - I don't know, its pretty varied depending on where folks come from, I find. Boston itself: college students, old money elitists (the worst), drunk sports fans; everyone else just gets drowned out, or they're just in hiding (can't blame 'em).

Yeah, the wildlife is a big issue. I'd pretty much stay firmly within city limits to avoid any contact with animals of a poisonous nature.

They've got poisonous critters that actively seek to hide themselves in your bedding. Talk about nightmare fuel.

We have them here too... bark scorpions, and brown recluses.
