Alpha smirked "I put a diamond on Mari myself. I kinda felt sorry for her since at the start of the tournament the odds of her winning were so low. At least if she does win I'll probably be a billionnaire by the time we leave Kunec. Though I'm currently in no mood for torunaments" he laughed taking a moment to remember where on the airship he had hidden the betting ticket "I bet Itaka is just trying to make a good impression with the royals"

Seph grinned spying her first sighting of the food available "I thought cooking careers were only stressful when in a very busy kitchen with a very high demand for food. But no need to analyse any food unless it involves tasting or making someone you don't like test it for poison depending on how paranoid you are" she joked ignoring the looks she was receiving.

Hebal snickered finding Mari's struggle with Sophia and Ivy to be quite amusing "Aww those two want in on the fun too which is a bit of a shame" she sighed hopping over to Udoaver and pulled him over seeing as he appeared to be reasonable unoccupied and was also nearby "Hey there new person whos name I have suddenly forgotten, figured I would say hi to you and all while your nearny though if you do know how to make ice cream do speak up"

Gil nodded "I understand, sorry we didn't stay around to help we kinda had urgent business elsewhere" he said looking around at the staff "Well it is a royal visit you know, if we enjoy the food it'll bring fame and glory to this restaurant" he answered Satoshi.

Jenna nodded "Yep I do, feed him only the best I can get though I doubt he's a scratch on royal chocobo's you must have at the palace" she remarked slightly disappointed to see how apprehensive Elithana was.

Zadina frowned "I dunno who told Elithana that Jenna was a thief?" he whispered to him "I wonder if she'll manage to swipe anything tonight....I hope she doesn't try" he added nervously.

Oassu nodded somewhat surprised "Hmm I'd have thought Hayate was higher but given Dysocu's title isn't he kinda.....vital to the city as in shouldn't ever leave it?" he whispered sitting down beside Felina.

Itaka rolled his eyes "I'm sure most people have low odds considering Gil is in this tournament" he said sitting down "Probably giving the bookies a nightmare." he said.

Barbaros nodded in agreement "The places are packed these day with folk betting on Gil's fights, even saw one bookie offering bets on how long the fight would last rather than if he'd win or not" he groaned.

Mari nodded "I know it's like that a bit but when you're the only cook in the place at all you need to do everything and it gets a bit of a pain" she said whispering to Hebal "And they can have fun, Ivy certainly can but Sophia needs to be careful I'll let her out when we're all settled and eating" she said.

Satoshi scratched her chin noticing certain members of the group wre being gossiped about by other diners "Yeah I suppose you're right, they will like it if they can say royals dined here and left a nice tip though some of the other guests don't seem too pleased about the attention. Oh and we left to do some stuff for Oassu and Felina so we are kinda still doing stuff for you elf guys"

Dyscou shrugged watching where Felina was taking a seat "I'm guessing that is our table. It doesn't really bother me what you are doing right now and what you left Yithra to do, its not your place to deal with the cleaning up operation anyway. The whole day you left was all funerals and speeches and people trying to check their houses were still standing so you wouldn't have enjoyed it"

Hayate shook his head whispering back "Beats me who told her. For her dad has never met Jenna and I have never put her name to a job class in any of my reports, conveniently forgot more than one thief was in the party. Still I doubt she's going to risk doing something silly tonight"

Elithana chuckled leaning forward to join in the pair's whispering "Nobody told me she was a thief, I just had a suspicion and you guys just confirmed it" she quietly added in herself then raised her head and turned back to Jenna "Sorry about that, I just get a little paranoid when people whisper but they aren't really discussing anything of interest anyway. We don't actually keep all that many chocobos in the palace, theres only two of them. What we keep mainly are horses as they are easier to come by since they are wild in the forest" she explained.

Felina grinned taking Cid from Oassu and placed him down upon her lap to get comfy "Would be a pretty poor general if he wasn't willing to travel around beyong the capital city. Either what Elithana was doing here was really important or dad was being extremely overprotective by sending him with Elithana. Anyway the army only ever has a set number of people of major rank since thats like the elite rank in our army but after the battle there would be some positions open for any captains to apple for should they want a promotion... but apparently Hayate isn't too bothered" she concluded placing an arm around Oassu.

Udoaver raised an eyebrow allowing Hebal to drag him around with a small sigh "Has anybody told you that you talk in a funny accent too? I just have an elven accent and unlike Felina I can't just drop my accent whenever I change language" he shrugged releasing himself from Hebal's grip "Some people just don't cook, especially when more and more things are coming to you readymade"

Seph scratched her head "But if there wasn't a huge business or a really high numbrer of customers than I would think life would be pretty easy for you in your job. You know less demand for food so less stress" she muttered resisting the urge to swing back on her chair "Ever thought of seeing someone about your abilities who might help. No idea who but you never know with our travels" she suggested to Mari grabbing hold of her tail.

Hebal tilted her head curiously but sat down on the other side of Mari "I don't think Felina or even Elithana have an accent so its still kinda funny to me. Though if you do something mega awesome for us I bet I could convince Mari to teach you to cook something really nice 'cause she is like a chef" she grinned boucing up and down on the built in cushion of the chair.

Alpha grunted slumping down into the nearest unoccupied seat around the table "Well naturally all the odds are going to change because they have seen more or her and what she can do. Theres probably a lot of fans or simply betters now who are starting to think Mari might be a dark horse in this competition" he concluded cheerfully.

Gil nodded "Alex could have dropped the city to earth at any time destroying us and if they had reached the temple maintaining the barrier it would have been over in an instant" he said ordering some orange juice

Oassu nodded "No wonder you have such trouble not many nations have such....odd set ups" he said "Guess the elves don't have a definite country as such." he said passing the menu to Felina "Hey Jenna how's the pickings here?" he asked seeing her sit down.

Jenna smirked showing off her new dress "Extremely well, security is lax everywhere except the Arena, the chocobo track is practically begging you to steal from them you should take some time out to make a profit if you can" she said

Zadina nodded "Not all thieves are like some of the meaner desert elves she and Mr Oassu are both very nice so I would hope none of them would lose their hands for anything" he said ordering himself some orange juice seeing Gil do the same.

Mari shook her head "One customer is enough to require a lot of work in the kitchen plus I had to be the waitress as well but nevermind I'll be fine so long as I keep my medication I'll be able to cope with my abilities though it would be good to get rid of them" she said.

Itaka grunted "I bet Gil is still the best thing in the bookies he's not shown anything really weak yet" he said "Oh well just need to see how it goes for now" he said sitting back.

Barbaros chuckled "If it's any consolation your odds were pretty good too Itaka" he said looking around "So....do we order food or what around here?" he asked Felina across the tablwe

Dysocu reluctantly nodded requesting a glass of water from the waitress "Yeah unfortunatelt we would have been doomed if the city got dropped but apparently we have something of value to them for the place not to be destroyed. If the barrier were to go we would have needed to activate the more drastic defences but thats clasified information"

Satoshi smiled weakly trying not to think of the alternative results "Umm why don't we move on from that, we're all still here so no need to think of the 'what if' scenarios. From what I have heared afterwards it would appear that the results of the battle have really boosted the reputation of your army" she told him trying to be more positive.

Hayate slowly nodded in agreement with Zadina "Yeah she's more of the pickpocket type thief rather than the really bad organised gang crime type thief. But lets not discuss her career so loudly here or else the resturant staff may pick up on it and get nervous" he advised.

Elithana grunted unimpressed by Jenna anyway "A thief just better be careful about who to mess around if they with to keep their hands. But fine I will keep my mouth shut for now about thieves. I've always wanted to go to the desert but father is adamant I go nowhere near"

"Just order your food and drinks here and it will be brought to you, then just keep asking for more food and drink until your full" Felina called over the table to Barbaros "Anyway, we don't have a definite country and haven't had one for millenniums which is why theres so many different looking elves out there. Oassu has already made a small profit from there during his visit" she quietly added to Jenna.

Udoaver scratched his head scanning through the drinks menu after Felina's instructions "So I have heared though god knows what you would do if for some reason all you viera needed to unite about something. Though good for you about the money for Elithana told me a lot of this group are very money focused"

Seph smirked watching Barbaros find the food "Will need to keep an eye on Hebal cooking if her reputation for blowing up food is true. I could also help out with some cooking too as I can do bits and pieces... ok forget that bit because usually too lazy but if the menu is right then maybe" she laughed getting up to bring back as much meat as possible.

Alpha shook his head managing to say "You've got no chance young one" to Barbaros before he was out of hearing distence. I know you've even beaten her once but they don't know that because we aren't exactly famous enough like Gil. Should celebrate with Seph after the meal, I bet she would appreciate it"

Hebal shrugged "I dunno... we seem to get by without uniting but its not like we are all antisocial and never speak to eachother. Well the smelly men may be different but we are very social. Not all of us are all money focused but its true one or two are but thats because quite a few members of the group are some sort of thief of mercenary"

Gil smiled "Well good to see you're on top of things at least but let's put war far from our minds I'm sure we've both had our fill of battle but not of food" he chuckled picking up his plate and following Satoshi closely followed by Enkidu.

Zadina frowned "I don't see how Cactuars can be fun if you can't play with them still you could always try and wage a campaign to bring the desert elves to heel and free of the gangs" he said sipping his drink.

Oassu shook his head "Course I didn't take anything from the palace, that's just stupid you know that Jenna" he sighed nuzzling Felina "But yeah back in Agralia I would often have rookie thieves work the chocobo arena to produce steady income for the guild" he said.

Mari raised an eyebrow surprised at Seph saying she could cook before subtly placing Sophia and Ivy on the table while Sophia happily settled own to watch the lit candle in the center of the table while Ivy zoomed over to Elithana and co. A waitress emitted a small squeal spying Sophia before hurridly placing the wine on the table and dashing off to the kitchen. Mari swiftly settled down again an cuddled Sophia "Will Sophia really be able to stay here Felina?" she asked concerned about what the waitress would say.

Itaka frowned seeing the waitress "Poor Mari....they better not kick Mari out of here for that" he said watching a confused Sophia before nudging Alpha "And we're famous in Yithra at least, though I'm sure we won't be for long no one will want to remember that battle at all, heroes involved an all" he said before getting up to follow Seph to the food table.
