"She isn't yours." Ryou snapped, and was overcome with a brief memory of all the times Kira had ever said something of the sort to-- well, lots of people. Mainly Bakura. Those arguments made no impact on people like Luci. Ryou frowned, quickly deciding how easy it would be to either force or convince the demon to leave Kira here and leave quietly. Not very easy. Probably impossible.

Luci laughed "So says you" he leaned back in the chair. "as im sure you know from your past Once you train a pet they know there place. I highly doubt she would argure with me."

Khalid put an arm around Ryou's shoulders when he noticed the boy was beginning to become troubled. "I... suppose..." Ryou said softly, then sighed in a frustrated manner. He didn't like agreeing on something like this. But it wasn't as though he could really argue.

Khalid was the one who responded to Ember. "You mean out of this house?" He asked, quite eagerly. Ryou bit him on the shoulder. Not sharply, but enough to make him change his tone. "It seems to be a good idea. I'm sure most of you want to be in less confining spaces."

"Then let's go out for ice cream." Atem agreed, moving over to his hikari and placing his hands on Yugi's shoulders. Yugi hadn't stirred or uttered a word since Luci entered. "Uhm... Ryou, I guess, will you grab Kai?" Ryou looked up at Atem and then smiled briefly before hopping up to his feet and scooping his son up.

"It's somewhat chilly outside." Ryou said. It was fall, and while weather in California was warmed than in Domino, the air was becoming colder. "Here, hold him while I get his jacket. And mine." He handed Kai off to Khalid in the same manner as he usually did, before leaving the room to go to the hall closet for jackets and the like. Khalid had gotten up to his feet and held Kai awkwardly, hoping the boy wouldn't start screaming or anything.

Unluckly for him kai was still terrfied of him. He started crying and squirming. Kira walked over and took kai from khalid "there there"

"Teh." Khalid grumbled. Ryou came back, wearing his own jacket, and quickly helped tug Kai's jacket onto him. Khalid smiled with fake, almost sarcastic enthusiasm. "Is everyone ready? Then let's go." He shooed them outside, to hurry up and get it over with, as he silently told himself.

"There's a place by the beach that isn't too far." Ryou said, walking beside Kira. He had purposefully chosen to stay away from Khalid. "There are a few benches and, um, tables to sit at. It's a nice place for ice cream." Yugi had gone to Kawi and had a look on his face that clearly showed his reluctance to move from her side. Atem walked near his hikari, cautious because of the demon.
