Luci hmmed and seemed to be thinking "I guess." he said and dropped kira.
After a moment ember came out dressed.

Atem and Yugi had been speaking, after Atem had greeted and congratulated Kawi. They both glanced up as Ember emerged. "Ready to go?" Yugi asked cheerfully. If what Khalid had said was true, he was excited to see Kira. Ryou went to Kira and gently pulled her farther away from Luci. He still held Kai in one arm, and now had Kira in the other. He glared at Luci, forgetting his previous fear, his need to guard Kira overpowering that other emotion.

Kira gently nuzzled into ryou's neck. Kira was normaly not afraid of anybody but it was ovious kira was terrified of luci.
Ember nodded "yup"

Yugi let out a cheer and Atem felt around his pockets to the keys of the car. "You know, if Kira really is back, I'm sure that Ryou... Well, the two might be, uh, busy, so maybe letting them have a little time alone would be best." "Come on." Ryou said, hoping to get out of the kitchen. "We refurnished Kai's nursery. Want to see it?" He had already started moving away, his fingers entwining with Kira's and he pulled at her gently.

"Ok..." kira said following him along. She was happy to get away luci.
"Ember chuckled "Well thats why we knock and find out."
"Yea yea!" kawi bounced up and down.

Atem shrugged helplessly. "I suppose you're right. Well, let's go. I guess." He started to head out of the apartment building. Ryou stopped by in Kai's room. "He wet the bed this morning... Just a little bit before Khalid decided to bring you back." He said, apologetically. "We haven't had time to clean. But, uh, we got him new toys and repainted the walls." He offered sheepishly, gesturing to the blue walls.

"Blu Blu!" kai said. He liked the color blu "Blu Clus!" he said. He liked the show blues clues.
Kira smiled softly "It's very nice."

"Don't worry about Blues Clues." Ryou said absently to Kira as he set Kai down on the floor. "I went out and bought DVDs. That show went downhill since Steve left. I don't know who his replacement is, but he's nothing compared to Steve." Making sure the door to the nursery was shut, Ryou went to Kira. His tone softened. "You're really back, then, huh?" He asked, taking her hands in his.

Ryou kissed Kira. Aside from the initial hug, it was the first sign of affection he had made towards her, since he had felt so nervous in front of Khalid and Luci. He could even forget that Kai was there, since the boy wouldn't have any knowledge of what they were doing.

Ryou could have cried at this. They had been together for so long, so many times, but after losing her he had almost completely forgotten how wonderful it was to be with Kira. Sudden passion flared up inside of him and he pressed Kira closer, deepening the kiss.

Kira couldent help but smile and continue the kiss. She had missed his so much. Life had been literly hell withiout him.

Ryou pulled away gently after a moment or so. He ran his hands through Kira's hair, letting the strands slip slowly through his fingers. He felt as though he should say something, apologize for his distant behavior earlier, but then decided against that. It would only ruin the moment. He kissed Kira again, wondering if he would ever tire of this. Atem pulled into the long driveway of the mansion and got out. He held the door open for Ember and waited a moment for Yugi and Kawi to leave the cr as well before he began to head for the front door. Khalid was on the doorstep as though expecting them, smoking a cigarette blandly.

Kira smiled softly "I think you grew.." Kira told him. He was infact a few inches taller then her. She hugged him close enjoying the moment.
