Seph nodded patting Alpha on the back as they passed "I think Oassu is being a bad influence on Felina and thats why they were running so late and I'm starving so happy to move" she mumbled rubbing her tummy "I know what you mean Mari but when that happens you just make it up as you go along with a little bit of observation thrown in. Strategies are never perfect anyway"
Alpha cleared his throat turning around to match the direction of the group "Maybe Zadina is hungry too. I would have taken a little less time getting here if it weren't for one of the moogles forgetting to turn the taps off resulting in a near flood of the airship. And I wouldn't go in their Ivy, the hair needs a wash"
Hebal frowned imagining all kinds of dust and ash in Alpha's hair "Ivy's old life couldn't have been all that great for her to be so happy to be travelling around with us but if shes a teenage sprite it's surprising since teenagers tend to be far naughtier. Though maybe Gil has some super secret weak spot on him you can take down for instant victory?"

Satoshi sighed checking Gil had kept a tight hold on enkidu "Ok ok I can teleport us now. Though before I go may I say you look great in that dinner jacket" she complimented him before teleporting him to the very back of the group "See there was no need to hurry for we didn't miss much"
Udoaver nodded his head letting go of Oassu's hands "Yep they are all talking about the mysterious commoner with ninja like skills thats managed to bag himself a princess. Though one rumour going around is that your some former assassin who once tried to kill her" he laughed shaking Cid's hand seeing the rabbit wave his paw out at him from under the hat. "That one is only believed by the less intelligent of the elves but it is funny what they can come up with about us"
Hayate paused debating for a moment before eventually deciding "I better take the hat back and keep hold of that but the cloak os all yours unless I have to do anything really really fancy. I mean you might call dinner with royals a big thing but the cloak is more for ceremony things"
Felina smiled taking Cid from under Oassu's beret and scooped him up into his arms "I guess it's no surprise people are talking about it since it's not exactly conventional though I am curious as to what they have to say about you two" she remarked before whispering to Elithana "I thought Udoaver would have been a little taller and bulkier, he's only a bit taller than Oassu"
Elithana shrugged covering her mouth to hide a yawn "Nothing wrong with a slightly below average height. You'll be pleased to know that despite the rumours I think mother is finally starting to accept the way things are going between you two. That doesn't mean she approves all that much yet" she whispered back.

Gil sighed "Yeah but I hope this slow progress doesn't mean we'll be late" he said putting Enkidu down who happily bounded off to the others to say hi "Still looks like most of the team are here, heh it's weird thinking I'll probably fight one of them tomorrow" he said.
Oassu frowned "Well...lets hope no one tries to call a hit on me as a result of it," he said taking Felina's hand "Still it's a pleasure to meet you and it's good that your mother is warming to the thought of me a bit" he said with a smile.
Zadina cheered "Yay this cape is super cool Mr Hayate thanks!" he said taking his own hat back and giving Hayate his own hat back "Still what is the kinda place we're going to eat anyway?" he asked.
Itaka chuckled "Well he is a thief after all but Ivy doesn't seem to be bothered by your hair..." he said watching with interest as Ivy cast a small spell making Alpha's hair grow green briefly before being purged of dirt and grime leaving it clean and healthy for her to relax in "Also the tap thing won't delay the repairs I hope" he said.
Mari nodded "Well maybe she just likes us so much and she's a really good teenage sprite?" she suggested giggling "Or I could be totally wrong still it would be nice if I could have some idea of what to do tomorrow if I have to fight Gilgamesh" she said thinking about it "Though I suppose I should relax right now" she sighed

Alpha shook his head trying to ignore whatever colour or shape change was going on within his hair "Nah it was noting a mop couldn't fix but it sure was an inconvenience. The bathrooms were all finished anyway so it was fine and the bedrooms so didn't get flooded" he assured Itaka.
Seph turned around waving to Gil and Satoshi as they reappeared "If he has a weak spot then I think we are yet to find it, though if I go up against him I guess I'll have to take advantage of my flying abilities at the risk of being marked down. It's like the only thing I can really do that Gil couldn't do better in this tournament" she groaned.
Hebal grinned picking up Enkidu as he strolled past and hugged him as her way of saying hi "Maybe she does all kinds of naughty things when we aren't looking even since she is like mega sneaky in people's hair sometimes. But you need to relax Mari and enjoy the night worry free and if you cant be all relaxy I'll have to not let you eat anything until you are" she joked.

Satoshi raised an eyebrow surprised to hear such a comment from Gil "You really think it's all that weird you might end up facing Seph or Mari? Theres no real reason to worry about it you know since chances are you could easily beat both of them and the judges will keep them in good condition. I hope they can provide you with a good challenge at the very least"
Hayate scratched his head a little before slipping his hat back on his head and straightening it out "I have no idea whats going to be there. I got told it was an all you can eat buffet style resturant with a variety of different foods. The cape is ok but gets in the way a lot when it's incredibly windy or wet and doesn't keep you warm in winter despite the cool looks" he sighed trying to flatten his hair.
Felina sighed happily grabbing both of Oassu's arms "Just you wait until we make proper wedding plans. She loves stuff like that so would dive straight into it regardless of her low approval of you. And relax, with my white magic you will be harm free and all the civilians will be able to get to know you properly in no time" she proudly answered kissing his cheek.
Udoaver shrugged slipping an arm around Elithana "Don't get me started on the whole wedding thing. As nice as your mum is, she certainly knows how to try and take over on things. Though if anyone does hit you, they will be arrested unless it's from Felina of Dysocu. I believe he's on orders to make sure you don't do anything bad" he smirked noticing a nod from the soldier out of the corner of his eye.
Elithana laughed quietly but quickly stopped and cleared her throat "Yeah mother is a little annoying about that but I picked the dress out myself and everything so I'm happy plus father keeps her in check. But just ignore the two of us and have fun I guess, just treat Felina nice and you won't have to risk being assaulted by the majority of the elven public or being chased down by the army"

Gil chuckled "I think that's probably true but I've never really battled friends before, maybe I should go easy on them a little bit..." he pondered watching Enkidu give Hebal a big lick as she hugged him.
Zadina frowned "You'd think a bit cape like this would keep you warm I bet I could enchant it to be heat-emitting!" he said happily "Then you could have a lovely warm cape to wear in winter!" he said to Hayate.
Oassu laughed nervously hearing Dysocu's ulterior motive "Sure I'm sure we'll be fine but I hope your mother isn't completely controlling that she ruins it for you guys" he said returning Felina's kiss.
Itaka nodded "That's ok then wouldn't wanna sleep on a damp bed still what's it like working with so many moogles?" he asked "Are they all hyperactive and a pain to work with?" he chuckled imagining them running around him.
Mari nodded "I suppose so though if he could fly it would be quite a funny surprise" she giggled "And fine fine I'll stop worrying Hebal, just been a bit tired lately" she said sipping a potion.

Alpha scratched his chin while he came up with what he believed to be a fair answer "Well some of them are all hyperactive and others keep trying to convince me to pay them to tinker with all kinds of airship parts they probably shouldn't. Though to give them some credit they do get the job done to a high standard"
Seph laughed unfolding her wings and spreading them out behind her "I dunno about that, depends on the wings. For if Gil had say a big pair of black angel like wings people might get a little intimidated by it. On the other hand... imagine what Gil would look like if it were like butterfly wings or a pair like Ivy's"
Hebal giggled squeezing Mari into a hug "We need to get you off those potions somehow but rest for now or else I will have to carry you" she muttered swinging her friend in front of her "Gil with butterfly wings I think would really lovely with all the pretty colours and stuff. I would totally have a pair of those if I could!"

Satoshi shook her head feeling slightly sorry for Enkidu as he was squished between Hebal and Mari "Don't go easy on either Seph or Mari for I think they would both be highly insulted if you did. Not sure I would about Mari but if it were the other way around Seph wouldnt go easy on you with her time magic outside arena condition" she pointed out squeezing Gil's hand "I wouldn't have got this far through the competition lets face it even if this morning never happened"
Hayate smiled running his fingers through the fabric of the cape "I wouldn't complain to that but the material isn't really thick enough to keep you warm. Would be heavy anyway if made to be nice and warm anyway. In wind though it just blows all over the place and if some silly mages don't wear it properly it blows away for miles"
Felina rolled her eyes while she bounced Cid up and down playfully "Just ignore him Oassu, you would have to do something pretty majorly bad to upset me to get something like that happening to you and I know your nice enough not to be mean and stuff. People just need more time to get to know you" she reassured him.
Udoaver cleared his throat but nodded his head in agreement "Theres most likely some truth in that for people have already started warming up to me. It's because your always travelling about and nobody ever knows where. If it makes you feel better the general who has been keeping an eye on me to make sure I don't slip up is a lot bigger and has a lot more physical strength than him. The bulkiest of all the generals not that theres much competition"
Elithana smiled cautiously reaching over to pet Cid's ears "It's true things could be a lot worse and besides, I still have more power than her as far as royalty goes since I am still the heir to the throne for now. She can only over rule what we want wedding wise if she gets support from the king"

Gil nodded "I guess so but her time magic wouldn't be effective my armour is resistant to it, don't tell her that" he chuckled "Still your skill lies outside your swordplay but I'll help you improve that if you like sometime" he said.
Zadina giggled "Well I could make it magically warm and wind resistant as well with enchanting but I don't know a thing about it yet" he admitted scratching his head "Maybe I'll study it" he shrugged
Oassu snickered "I wonder if someone is watching Corella's boyfriend too still it's nice to know they are so protective of you girls still I hope you don't ever get into a major royal feud of control because of your authority" he muttered
Itaka nodded "It baffles me how creatures who can be so easily distracted could be the finest mechanical engineers of our time" he chuckled patting Seph's wings as they spread out "So....did you see the matches today?" he asked.
Mari smiled returning the hug before getting her feet back on the ground "Maybe Satoshi will make you a nice pair of them if you ask nicely" she said watching Enkidu squirm for freedom to the ground "Still Gil doesn't have wings so you've got plenty of advantage over him" she reassured Seph.

Seph almost jumped in surprise at her wings being patted but sighed and quickly relaxed again "You could always buy a costume pair from somewhere too if Satoshi can't make you any, I've seen loads of butterfly wings being sold in those shops in my time. On the topic of Gil it's not just the wings he'll need to be keeping an eye on during our match if we end up fighting" she chuckled swishing her tail.
Hebal cheered while adjusting herself so to have a better grip upon Enkidu "Yeah, thats true though it would be awesome if Satoshi could for then I could pick all the pretty colours and patterns I want like a magical rainbow themed one" she decided returning the lick Enkidu had given her earlier "For a battle fiend dog thing belonging to Gil, he's actually quite friendly"
Alpha nodded glancing over at Mari "Yeah I managed to see one or two but the only person I saw out of our lot was Mari's second match. The rest were all commentated by some odd radio device some of the moogles brought with them to work but it's not really the same thing is it. They let me keep the radio but it will probably be useless once away from the sky cities"

Satoshi yawned but shuffled closer to Gil seeing that a narrow bridge was coming up "Yeah I'm far better with ranged weapons... just not bows, more of the throwing variety. But time magic doesn't just effect an opponant you know, I'm not magic expert though I know it can also be used to buff up the caster too"
Hayate snickered recalling the last time that a friend of his tried enchanting something it ended up with a fire "You don't have to study enchanting items just for the sake of my cloak. Plus I had the idea that you would be more interested in receiving sword training from Gil instead. Just make sure not to overdo enchantments when it comes to dealing with the warmth bit"
Elithana shrugged "It's a family, there is never a family that is 100% argument free but it always works out. Though Corella doesn't have a boyfriend for anyone to watch out for so I think mums going to try extra hard with her to marry someone she believes to be more on what she believes to be our level"
Udoaver nodded his head and added "Yep can't have all the royals being taken away to some far of slum and corrupted by a group of common scallywags like ourselves. As nice as the nobility can be they sure have a weird and distorted view as to who the rest of us live"
Felina rolled her eyes earning herself a puzzled look from Cid "I feel sorry for Corella about that but I'm sure she'll try to do the same for our brother when he's older but I bet he's going to be spoiled rotten by dad"

Gil chuckled "Well it wouldn't help provided I can connect with an attack" he said indicating his middle arms "One secret you can't tell anyone is that my middle arms on the armour are imbued with dispel magic one blow and buffs small unsustained barriers and similar things disappear" he whispered to her.
Zadina nodded "Yep yep in fact Gil is gonna train me after the meal tonight" he said happily "And the sword training is just so I can better defend myself, my book maybe heavy but up close it's no good really, I'd like to earn enchanting because there's super amounts of money in making magical equipment!" he said.
Oassu nodded "I guess so but I doubt we'll ever get so poor as to need to live in a slum" he said shrugging "Still hopefully your mother took the news of our engagement well though I don't think we'll plan anything until we're sorted....lifewise if you know what I mean" he said.
Itaka nodded "You could always just give it back to them when they are finished" he said "How much is the whole operation gonna set us back....are you going to want us to chip in?" he asked.
Mari nodded "I guess Gil trained him well that or he just really likes you Hebal" she said watching Enkidu pant happily as Hebal tried to hold him up "Though doesn't look too comfortable there but what other tricks do you have instore for him Seph?" she asked

Seph smiled but tutted and shook her head at Mari "Now now, as much as I would like to share all I wouldn't like to give away all my possible strategies just in case a certain someone has sharper hearing than I think. Plus it's more fun when theres more surprises in the arena" sheanswered stroking Enkidu with the back of her hand.
Alpha grunted peering over the side of the bridge surprised to see there was nothing at all directly underneith them "I'm not telling you how much the job will cost because then you'll want to chip in. Though you could always pay the 5000gil if you wish which covered the cost of all the new furniture in your room. Better not break up with Seph cause I got you two a big double bed"
Hebal frowned nuzzling Enkidu "You really think he's not comfy here? Aww I guess I'll put him down then" she sighed placing the fiend back on the floor gently "Maybe Gil has some mega surprises still for you to see, like the fact he's some super invincible mega god person ability wise. Hehehe at least you would beat him in a swimming contest if not fighting"

Satoshi raised her eyebrow poking the arms in question "They don't look all that special and unique to me but I'll take your word for it. Is there anything you and your arms can't so because so far I can't think of anything" she whispered back kissing his ear.
Hayate also nodded making a quick guess as to how heavy Zadina's book would be roughly "I get what you mean so no need to explain further. I chose to keep practicing my knife skills for pretty much the same reason though you're not exactly someone who is ever going to be in need of money you know. Your set for life being a noble and all"
Felina laughed shaking her head "Of course we aren't going to live in a slum. I do have my own private estate for starters and secondly we are not exactly poor from all the adventures and their rewards. I also doubt that Elithana would be stuck in a slum either. We do still have standards"
Udoaver paused daring himself to look directly over the bridge despite still not being used to the sky city yet "Almost everyone has higher standards than the slums but if worst comes to the worst , I still have a farm house back home which is far nicer than they might think. Though I should have said earlier, good luck with getting all those Items to sort out your aging issue"
Elithana smiled imagining the look on her mothers face when h first discovered about Oassu and Felina "Oh I wouldn't go that far, she wasn't exactly leaping for joy about your engagement though father was at least kind enough to oganise some celebrations for the event like fireworks"

Gil chuckled "Oh really how many grey-skinned 6-armed men are there in your village?" he asked jokingly "But it's in my armour the dispel magic, my body is magically resistant as normal though I've had operations to allow certain beneficial spells to work on it" he chuckled kissing Satoshi back.
Zadina tilted his head in thought "Hmmm I suppose you are right but I've never understood how that works, are nobles paid just for being nobles? Or do we do something to earn that money?" he asked.
Oassu smiled "Yeah thanks Udoaver but we're doing pretty well so far, 3 of our friends are in the finals for the Gamblers spirit and we have a few good things from the list already" he said "Still the engagement is actually an event?" he asked curiously "And there was fireworks for us?" he said surprised.
Mari giggled "Well to travel almost alone as a mercenary like him I imagine his senses would need to be very good still it shall certainly be an interesting fight to watch" she said watching Enkidu run laps around Hebal's feet before trotting along between her and Mari obediently.
Itaka laughed "Oh that's great but don't worry I'm sure if we do we can simply tear the bed in two but sure I kinda figured it would be fair to pay for the stuff for us." he said smiling
