Hi Mister. At least we're not totally empty in here.

Nothing new on my end. Still at the restaurant. New co-workers are super cool though. Sucks about the dentist, but you should totally be able to sue for malpractice and get money.

If he had been honest about it and paid for the implant, I'd have been fine. Buuuut, he didn't tell me that he pulled the wrong one and was trying to cover it up as just having 'damaged' it- I found out a day later when I stopped by a dental urgent care for an honest answer. They agreed to pay for an implant, then decided to flake on that too. Either way, they're getting a report to the dental board and I'm more inclined to sue him the longer this all goes on. I haven't gotten an estimate on an implant yet :l It sucks having two teeth gone, though- because the wisdom tooth is gone now, too.

Get yourself a lawyer, dear. I fear you will end up needing one no matter what.

I've contacted a lawyer already; I'm going to go after his license through the dental board first.

Happy New Years, mates.

I don't think anyone else is coming.

Daypaw

I still have no idea what the hell Riv was trying to do

quite a lot of things
almost none of them happened due to the s**t fit everyone threw, including those who were supposed to be working with me

Daypaw

:l All that 'everyones suggestions but mine compromise the structure of the guild' BS just drove it into the ground.
you haven't got a clue what this guild meant to me

Daypaw

I know at some point there were a few requests made that I (and at least one of the other crewmembers, if I recall correctly) felt were reasonable that he shot down right away.

So, step 1, don't shoot s**t down right away for stupid reasons and I think we'll be in good shape <3~

go ******** yourself
all you and Yami did was b***h at every single thing I tried to do
I was the one trying to work with you guys
until the point where you guys both voted me out of power and I stepped down and let you two run things
what have you done with the guild?
not a single ******** thing
I checked up on you month after month
you both just stopped posting
you got absolutely nothing done
don't you dare ******** blame me for "running the guild into the ground" when you and he had complete leeway to do whatever you god damn wanted

Talon
Did he just not log on for 6 months?

We should do something fun with the guild. I have no idea what that could be or who's even still around though. We might have to just start from scratch.

no
I've been here watching to see what you guys would do
I did get quite busy during the holidays and didn't get a chance to sign on which I guess is when Daypaw decided to take the guild from me?
fine whatever
don't work on the guild (for...over a year? I'd check but I was completely demoted) and then months later take it from me and blame me for not having done anything with it when I was very clear that you and Yami were the ones who were expected to run everything as essentially "co owners"

don't you ******** act like I wasn't around since you never once even attempted to contact me
even ******** Talon asked me what was going on since you guys weren't doing a damn thing and I told him it was you two he needed to be talking to
whether he ever did I don't know

and no I don't blame you Talon
you did make things more difficult for me as well (along with all the other "rebels") but you weren't in charge and you weren't ultimately responsible for running the guild

Rivlen
Sorry buddy, but the only person to blame is yourself. You were the catalyst and driving force for everything that's happened so you don't get to play the reasonable victim here. Man up and take some responsibility.

  1. You disappeared after a spat about who was going to add who over AIM. Yami and I continued to have discussions and even held a small event during the Gaia Halloween event in your absence. We never "voted you out" - you disappeared and didn't come back. We have posts in our discussion thread dated in August 2010 wondering whether or not you were coming back.
  2. People were throwing shitfits because your idea of a working, happy guild was vastly different from everyone elses idea of a happy, working guild. It failed because you were completely unwilling to compromise, on anything. You threw the members aside time and time again, and now they're all gone. You worked very little with me and Yami- for the most part, you were doing to us the same thing you were doing to the members. "I don't like that, so we're not doing it." We had more pull than the members, yes, but it was still always your guild and nobody elses.
  3. We had the discussion about different types of guilds before. There's the guild, 'the box,' and the guild, 'the people.' I don't believe you cared for the people here, you pretty much said yourself that the old regulars weren't worth appealing to and bringing back- that 'making the guild functional' and 'fixing the infrastructure' took priority. If you only care for the guild in the sense of the concept of the physical space, well, they're really both built on the people, and no- I can't really grasp the concept of being attached to the 'box.' You can't have a guild without foundation members and people to populate it. If it means as much to you as you say, where have you been since mid 2010?
  4. Me and Yami were looking for compromises. The happy medium between the guild that you wanted and the guild that everyone else wanted. Again, you didn't step down. You abandoned us with no notice. We didn't vote you out- we asked you to stop making decisions without us and making major changes without our knowledge- as, technically by the power system that was implemented, everything implemented needed a majority vote. That's not the same as "You're not captain anymore, gtfo." It's simply "Give us a heads up because some of the things that are changing without our prior knowledge aren't good changes." We never told you to leave.
  5. No, we did not have leeway to do whatever we wanted. VC's are not Captains and it was still not our guild. When we were functioning without you, we were still functioning within the power system and rule set that was established before you left. We didn't make any major changes because we expected you to come back at some point. Yami had other things to worry about, and so did I. If you didn't care enough to post and tell us that you were still checking in, do you really think we cared enough to try and track you down about it? We have more important obligations than a guild that's been neglected by owner after owner after owner.
  6. Re: your comment to Talon. Co-owners do an equal share of work. If you wanted to be part owner, you had an equal share to do. Captains are the highest rank position because they are expected to be in charge and have control of the guild. Saying that you expected me and Yami to 'run everything' is just nonsense and is nowhere in the power arrangement that was established.

You knew the guild was inactive. Was being inactive yourself for well over a year in it's best interest? You could have just as easily demoted everyone on the crew and found replacements who didn't care one way or the other what happened. You could have wiped the memberlist, cleared the forums, and then launched a recruiting campaign. But you didn't- you chose to leave and not come back. Maybe you were hoping that me and Yami would fix everything and you would have something spectacular to come back and claim? I don't know, I don't care. I'm not going to pretend I do. This is going to be my only post on the subject- I'm not going to let it turn into another 'shitfit' as we all have better things to be doing with our time.
