as Nick and Kayla looked at the text chimes went off in the shrine. though neither could read the text, it felt like you should be able to.
Veronica beamed at them. "I didn't think that would happen. its a bad sign."

Kayla looked at the text and jumped when the chimes went off. well lets see if theres anything in my text book about writing. she flipped through some more pages and came to a page with a key on it. each symbol that was either a word or letter. maybe this will help. as long as this is the right ancient civilazation.

yeah they seem like the same symbols. Kayla shuffled around and got some looseleaf. and tried to decode some of it.

John got to the freehold and looked around slightly and not finding anyone he went up to his room and grabbed his bow and arrows and headed out to the archery field

Veronica peeered at the text "I don't think you got that right. she then tapped a stone on the wall and the chimes peeled a second time. "It will have to wait until later." Somehow she seemed a bit, more mature there for a second, before going back to her normal self. "Lets go play indoors!"

ok sure Kayla said distracted. this was kinda cool. she folded up the looseleaf and put it in her pocket.

Veronica laughed and skipped out of the shrine then leaped across the water giving a flap or two to keep her aloft, one of the giant fish came up the the surface, allowing you to see that it was not something you;d want to swim with "I bet you get to the other shore before me!" Veronica said laughingly to Nick and Kayla.

Kayla jumped in the boat and paddled over with her hands as fast as she could but of course she wasnt as fast as Veronica. no fair you can fly!
