Nadya took a slow breath, hardly daring to believe that it ws time for them to return, and stepped through the portal into her own backyard. She looked around happily and shrugged off her cloaks and blanket, finally warm for the first time since they had first gone through the portal.
She stepped out of the way so that the others could also come through.

Gion followed Nadya quickly after one quick glance to make sure they had everything. She had his bag, so he wasn't worried about that. Then he stepped through the portal after her.
Back on the plantation once more, he allowed himself to relax and breathe freely. It was night here, just as it was in the Northland, but even so it was far warmer than even the warmest moments in the north. He appreciated it, and he knew that Nadya did as well.
He turned to face her and took her hands in his, holding them tightly and smiling at her.
Thank you, he thought to her, drawing her close for a tight embrace. He didn't care that the others would be right behind him. He needed this - and he knew that Nadya did, too. She had gone through what would likely end up being the worst part of her life to help him, to help his mother, and that was something for which he was so grateful there were no words that would express it.

Donovan ushered Mia through the portal next, trusting in Triton to follow them right afterwards since Yue was the one going to be wiping the runes. He was not going to risk anyone or anything being left behind (who knows what else snuck along with them all this time without them knowing.)
"Hmm..." Donovan mumbled as they entered through the portal, "Better."
Even he, who was use to cold places preferred this weather, it wasn't damp at least.

Triton stepped through, bracing himself for the sudden change in weather and tempature. In a way he was grateful to see this place again, even though he knew beyond it was nothing but desert and they would probably have to travel through it by morning.
However it meant that it was almost time to go home, and who knew? Maybe Lore and Elnara were back by the time they got back. Maybe, just maybe if things went well for Lore and Elnara, Elnara could have a giant reunion.
Well, he was kind of not holding his breath on that one, he wasn't sure about her other brothers.

Mia entered along side Triton, and wondered if it was possible for a bath this late at night. For she did not want to kept dirty with the blood of these bad men. Besides Alice was also dirty as well.
Once he was sure everyone was through, Yue held the portal open wide, and brushed his hands over the runes. They faded slightly, for they were no longer magicial, but instead normal chalk writing of unuusal characters that would fade with the rain and other elements of nature.
Only then did he entered into the other side.

Nadya looked at the others from where she stood with her arms around Gion, and she saw at once that they all looked much like she felt.
"Would anyone like to wash before sleeping?" she asked softly, knowing that everyone on the plantation would already be asleep. She released Gion but kept her hands on his shoulders, then nodded towards the house. "I'm afraid we only have one bath, but ... it wouldn't take long to fill."

Gion picked up Nadya's discarded cloaks and blanket and folded them over his arm, then started towards the house, beckoning for everyone else to follow. He himself was ready for bed, but he wanted to wash first as well.

"A quick wash up would do a world of good," Donovan admitted.
At least to get the smell of copper off of himself, everything else could wait until morning, but the smell of old blood just had to go.

Triton followed nodding in agreement to what Donovan said. Though in addition to that reason was the fact that they hadn't wash well since they had arrived in those lands.

Yue shrugged, if it was too much trouble he figured it could find a water source to clean himself or use ice to wash himself. It wasn't like he would notice and now that they were back in the desert he would take every chance to wrap the cold he had collected from the captain's room around himself before they left.
Mia on the other hand was quite happy about this idea of bathing, "Yes, that would be nice."
She would have added because Alice became dirty but somehow she had a feeling that was something most people would not want to hear.

Nadya smiled faintly. "No trouble," she murmured. Of course it wasn't a problem, she wasn't the one who would be filling the tub. Her mother of course would want to know that they were back and that they were all safe, and she was the one who had the magical capability of filling the tub with warm (or hot if she desired) water in only a matter of seconds.
"Do you all want to wait downstairs, then, until it's ready?" she asked as she opened the door and led them all inside to the living room. "That way you don't have to worry about getting your bedrooms dirty while you're waiting."

She smiled brightly at Nadya, she really liked Nadya.

Gion woke the next morning feeling very comfortable in his bed. He almost didn't want to get up, stiff now from those nights of sleeping on the cold, rocky ground, and the contrast of sleeping in a warm, soft bed. But the sun was shining and the dawn was warm, and despite having only half a night of proper rest, he knew that Donovan, Triton, Yue and Mia wanted to return home as quickly as possible, and that he had to take them back to the castle so that they could do so.
Nadya had wanted to go with them as well, but Gion had insisted that she remain at the plantation and regain her strength instead. She didn't want to admit it, but she had been vastly weakened by their trip north, and it was only because of Gion's worry for her that she finally agreed to wait for him there.
He rose and dressed quickly, strapping his sword on yet again, and grabbed his bag, meaning to take it downstairs and fill it with food and water again before they left.

Laer was already downstairs, working in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for those who would be traveling that day. Despite being woken to prepare several baths in the middle of the night, she was wide awake and full of energy. Lex was already out working on the plantation, and she was used to early mornings and late nights.
She also already had out several packages of food for Gion to take with him, as well as several canteens of water for him and the others.
Nadya, she knew, was still asleep, and likely would sleep until after the others had gone. She had been the last to go to bed the night before, and had been the most exhausted of all of them, but Laer wasn't worried. She knew that her daughter would be all right after a few days' solid rest.

Donovan was down wearing what he had worn before to get here, he perhaps out of all of them (except for maybe Yue) wanted to be home as soon as possible. Besides, he wasn't sure if Kara had noticed yet that Mia was gone. Then again they haven't been gone long their time and Mia was one of those children who kept to themselves.
"Morning," he mumbled out of politeness.
