Let me put it to you like this...I was scared for this game sucking once I heard that the controls were strictly handled from the stylus. Once I played it though...*whew* it turned out that its a nice little addition. I haven't beat it yet. Im probably going to beat FFIII on my DS first.

Innovation is Nintendo's specialty.

While plots are indeed similar in a very broad sense, they all don't follow the same path. Basically all of the games have independent stories, just with some familar Mac Guffins and features. I see his point, but I see it from a different perspective, basically any series is what he said. I mean pick about any series and they can say basically the same thing.

Everything you said is what I thought exactly. Even if Nintendo makes a game that doesn't have all that innovation (i.e. Mario Sunshine, every Metroid Prime sequel etc.) They've still been unbelievably enjoyable. to quote God of War, Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe: "When it comes to Nintendo, there's always nothing in the way between the controller and a good time."

When I originally said innovation, I had meant in the way of game play, not plot. There is no way of avoiding plot similarities unless you come up with a new game each time and don't have any series. The only way you can have a series without repeating plots is to make them so different that they are not really related in anyway.

I knew what you meant when you said innovation. And you're right.

You are going to get complaints either way.

Getting into something you can't win...It's like working in a call center.

Along with Phoenix Wright, Riddick, and Dead Rising. I finally beat Dark Cloud 2...I haven't played a game that long in a while. I mean 70 hours...I haven't even beat the secret chapter yet...just the main chapters.

I hate it when this happens...I stand in front of my game collection. Instead of just playing something I spend too much time thinking what I'll play next.

I pick at random, beat every thing basically. I've been playing Pocket Fighter a lot lately, got Gief into the the top five.
