Chuckling at Mitsu's distressed state for a moment he shook his head. "Yes shocked. You know when electricity goes through your body? I think I might have been dead for a second but for some reason my body decided to start up again and I just fell into a little mini coma thing." Looking at his hands he could still see them shaking a bit. "Now my hair looks like an old mans. "He groaned pulling at a few of the white strands. "Articuno? Sure you can come with me if you want. I realized I need to do a lot more training. Get a few more badges, and perhaps take place in one of those Contest things... Anyway you are welcome to come along."

Just then Kenny returned carrying the three pokeballs. Taking them back from the ghost he took them from him and set them on the bed. Patting a shaking hand on top of the ghost pokemon's head he gave him a small smile. Then picking up Apollo's pokeball he released the Rapidash outside. "Yes it is sad that Meowth left. However he can choose what he wants to do and I was not going to force him to stay." He said with a hint of finality in his voice. "As for Apollo. Well, you will just have to see him yourself. I must say he looks absolutely stunning though." Looking out the window he saw the horse perk up when he heard Dante's words. "So enough about me. You said some interesting things occurred. What might those be?"

Crenu stopped and listened at M.A.'s words, looking into her eyes. Her message was clear, her eyes spoke louder than her words. But despite her plight, Crenu did not change his mind. "M.A. Get out of the way.I already told you that I wasn't going to let anything get in my way. That includes people, and that includes you. Who cares about the heart? All it does is pump blood and cloud you with emotions. Tell me M.A...." Crenu stepped closer to M.A., lowering his head so that his mouth was next to her ear, speaking with a low whisper. "Are you hurting right now? Is your heart doing you any good now?"

"Blast!" He said out loud, although he wished he hadn't. He saw the Crobat dance through the air and knew it wouldn't end well. It's perfect accuracy...my blessing and curse. Felsic attempted to outrun the move, but in the end it was futile. He sighed, something he felt himself doing alot more ever since he hung out with Winona. "The girls infectious." He mumbled, tossing out his next combatant.

A spectacle of sparks revealed the award winning imperfection of mental stability that was Beacon, everyone's favorite Ampharos. He flapped his paws wildly, a dumb grin on his face.

Let's see Master Koga follow his movements. Portabello smiled, always happy to see the cheery Pokemon. I can read his mind and I still have problems.

Crobat fluttered about for a moment, blinking at his opponent. It felt like his IQ dropped a point or two the moment that Ampharos had hit the battle field. Koga pointed at the opposing Pokemon and then sliced the air with his arm. "Attack with Bite!" he commanded.

Crobat flew towards Beacon, opening his mouth and aiming directly for his head.

"Old man," Mitsu said just for the heck of it. It must be white she thought with an inward chuckle. "And yay! I've always wanted to see Articuno." She could sound like a little kid at times, but she didn't seem to mind. Being too serious and bitter, she decided, was not fun. Mitsu listened as Dante spoke of Apollo and an immediate idea sparked into her mind. Maybe he's evolved she thoughted already picturing the magnificent silver Rapidash. Or maybe he turned normal colored, or . . . something?

Rather than pondering over Apollo's new appearance she spoke as Dante asked her about herself. She took in a deep breath. "May be a long story," she said, "or maybe not." With a slight shrug she began to retell her tale. No one other than her adopted brother Touya had known of her strange powers. "Let's see where to start," she said spending a few moments to backtrack and think. "Oh that's right! So anyways I went into the Viridian Forest from those weird phone calls. And I spent forever getting lost until I saw this guy. He looked almost dead! So I thought I'd help him out and when I went to go turn him over I, well, I guess I fainted."

She paused for another moment. No that wasn't right. "Well I touched him on the shoulder and this pain shot up my arm, and I couldn't take it away. He started to . . . heal, I guess, while the pain in my arm kept getting worse and worse. Finally, he looked fully healed and shortly after that I fainted." She gave a small sheepish laugh.

Mitsu paused not wanting to tell the entire story on the spot and gave him a chance to reply before continuing on with her explanation. Maybe it was going to be a longer story than she had expected.

"Let's see how you like it when I give you a debilitating status effect!" Mike called out. "Thunder Wave that speed demon Beacon!"

As the Crobat clamped onto his head, Beacon zapped the bat with a weak electric current. Strangely enough, he didn't feel a thing when his attack connected. He pondered if that meant something was wrong with him. Of course not, he was a perfectly normal Pokemon. After his moment of clear thoughts, he grabbed hold of his 'foe', pulling him into a tight embrace.

While listening Dante was silent for a bit. "You healed him? Hmm... Well that is interesting. I have never heard of such a thing before. It would be interesting to see that is for sure." He said after a moment. "But what was he doing hurt in Viridian Forest? Last time I checked that place was really pretty mild. Lots of young trainers spend there time training in there." Sighing he pinched the bridge of his nose before smiling softly even though she couldn't see it. "I am glad that those weird phone calls were not bad though, your still here after all."

Kasiya accepted the treasures from Master Koga, but not before giving him a respectful bow. "Thank you, Master. In the short time I've been here, I feel I've learned a lot." She bowed out gracefully, too busy staring at her Soul Badge to notice the Crobat-shaped meteor that was heading right for her. With a happy, strangled screech, the relatively unharmed Crobat swooped down, but surprisingly enough, didn't tackle the girl to the ground. Instead, he stopped, hovering a mere inch from her face, and grinning broadly.

"FANG!" the girl screeched, pinning the badge on the inside of her vest, and pocketing the other winnings, "you were magnificent! You obeyed everything perfectly! I'm so proud of you!" As his trainer flung herself at him, the Crobat finally seemed to understand what kind of pain he put her through whenever he did that to her. He uttered another small squeak (one that sounded a lot like the way he squeaked when he was still a Zubat), but lapped up the attention.

It was then she noticed that Mike had taken up the place of challenger, and was already starting the battle. She chuckled to herself, waved to Kilik, blew a kiss to Portabello, and signaled to Fang. "Fly me back to the Pokemon Center, will you?" she asked him, and the Crobat nodded, landing on the ground. Kasiya realized then just how much bigger he'd become as she climbed onto his back, readying herself for the ride...

...Which was nothing short of fantastic. Fang was stronger than ever, and he showed no signs of dropping his trainer as the two flew up and out, finding themselves at the Pokemon Center in less than fifteen seconds. Looking down, Kasiya spotted Keegan, who seemed to be with a Pokemon. "Take us lower," the girl whispered to the Crobat, and the green flier did just that. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a Ponyta, and a rather young one at that. "How adorable!" Kasiya giggled, waiting for Keegan to notice her.

Those expressive eyes of hers widened in shock. She felt the blow; it made her feel as if her blood was running cold. For a moment, all she could do was stare back at Crenu.

She had only known him for a day (though granted, Pokemon days were a bit longer than real days), but still she had really considered him a friend. Too easily, perhaps? But just then, it almost felt as if he'd pushed an invisible knife through her. This quiet malevolence. . . was directed at her. Being as sheltered as she had been, she'd only felt like this once or twice before, when she was little. To say the least, she wasn't in any way guarded against this thing; no, she was soft to the core. Besides, Michael had come to her those times, had made her feel like she was herself again. Like she was someone, not a foolish, insignificant child. Not nothing.

He had once told her that if her heart was in the right place, everything would be okay eventually. But why didn't it feel like it? Why couldn't she do anything? Why?

Her shock turned to despair, then to a strange kind of anger. Hardly able to repress herself, she whipped her hand around, ready to slap Crenu hard -- but right before she made contact, her hand faltered, and paused before it fell to her side limply. Now, her eyes were entirely dry, but downcast; she now did not look at him, crossing her arms and zoning out elsewhere. "Crenu. . . I thought you were a friend," she murmured quietly, feeling as if she were exhausted. She didn't care if that sounded lame. It was true.

Keegan studied the filly for a moment or two longer before he decided she needed a name. "I'll call you Morgan," he said finally, nodding. "And Mori for short." The young Ponyta seemed to ponder it for a moment, and nodded, blinking her large, blue eyes and prancing around him. Keegan let his palm rest on her head between her ears, mingled with the flames. It was odd how they licked at his skin, yet didn't burn him. In fact, they were pleasingly warm to the touch. Almost instantly he was reminded of Apollo, and smiled. "I hope Dante's keeping out of trouble," he chuckled.

An odd feeling overcame him then, like he was being watched. Then he heard Kasiya's voice, and instinctively the boy turned to look, only finding nothing. "What the...?" he asked, only realizing then that he'd been looking in the wrong direction. Kasiya and Fang were hovering above him, both looking like the Meowth that had caught the Pidgey. "Well hello there," he nodded, waving. "I'm guessing by your rather cheery demeanor that you won?"

Mori didn't seem to like the large, green creature hovering above him; the young Ponyta didn't realize at first that Kasiya and Fang were separate beings. She shied away, taking a few steps back and peeking out from behind Keegan's back.

"Friends are only strangers whom you need something from. Remember that." He whispered this quietly in her ear, ten continued to walk towards the exit. "Take care of Ky for me." Crenu walked out of the mechanical glass doors without looking back.

"Of course we won," Kasiya nodded, holding up her hand, her index and pointer finger making a 'V' shape. "And it was all thanks to Fang here," she grinned, patting him on the head. However, at the mention of his name, the Crobat seemed to falter a bit, and he was forced to land. "Good job, Fang," the girl said, putting him back in his Pokeball. The prospect of being able to fly (at least from city to city within a region) was exciting, and she couldn't help but think about how easily it would be to go home and back again in between badges. The last thought reminded her - her next match would be against Nina for a Marsh Badge.

She watched the little Ponyta, trying to keep her voice and mannerisms slow and gentle. "Yours?" she asked, taking a few steps closer. "She's very lovely. Don't worry, I won't hurt you," she said softly, holding out a hand for the Ponyta to sniff.

"Congratulations are in order then," Keegan nodded, stepping back and placing his hand gently on the side of Mori's neck. "Yep, she's mine. She was a... gift from my parents," he said, choosing his wording carefully. "It's okay, Mori. Kasiya is a friend," he said softly. Mori scraped a hoof on the ground nervously, looking up at Kasiya with frightened eyes. Her flames had died down a bit, not burning as tall or as brightly as they had a moment ago. She hesitated, but sniffed the girl's hand for a moment, and then proceeded to circle her in the same manner she had Keegan. She let out a soft whinny, nodding and bumping her head against Kasiya's arm playfully. "I think she's starting to like you," Keegan chuckled. "Go ahead and pet her, and don't worry, she won't burn you," he added reassuringly.

After collecting her Pokemon back and reuniting with her friends, Nina left the Pokemon Center, releasing Anna from her Pokeball, and holding Serena's in her hand. She tossed it up and caught it a couple of times.

Anna eyed her trainer warily. "That's that Clefairy's Pokeball, isn't it?" she asked. "Whatcha, uhm, whatcha gonna do with that?" It was blatantly obvious that Anna disliked Serena with a burning passion. The girl grinned. "Oh, nothin'. Just this." She tossed the ball out in front of her, causing Serena to pop out. She tilted her head and looked at her new surroundings-- it was much brighter outside than in that cave. She rubbed her eyes a little.

The ghost stared at the fairy Pokemon, who was waddling around in a circle, chirping. "Nina. If you have any couth at all, you'll get that crazy little thing away from me and put her back in her ball, kay?" Nina rolled her eyes. "Anna, she's on our team now. That means that you're going to be seeing a lot more of eachother, so I suggest that you learn to get along with her, okay?" Serena spun around in a circle a few times and grinned, waddling over to her trainer, to be promptly swept up in her arms.

She giggled a little. "See? She's a sweetie! How can you dislike her?" Anna blinked, a moderately confused expression on her face. "Are-- are you a complete re-tard-tart-cake? I told you already! She practically blasted me with every single powerful attack that existed! I was fearing for my life when I was battling her! And if that wasn't bad enough, I was in a weird cave all by myself!"

Nina ignored the Pokemon's commentary. "Well, now that everything's all taken care of, I should probably go looking for a trainer or two."
"Oh! If I remember right, there's a place in Cerulean you can train at-- Nugget Bridge, I think?" Raimundo thought for a moment. "Yeah! If you go to the north of the city, as if you were heading off to the cape, there's five trainers there. If you beat them all, you're supposed to get a golden nugget for a reward. It doesn't do anything, but you can sell them to a shopkeeper for a pretty good price."

The psychic's face lit up. "So, I get to train my Pokemon and get a monetary bonus in the end? What more could I ask for?"
"You could, like, always ask for a second nugget. You know. You could like, give it to me and I could like, fashion it into some jewelry or something," Whitney added hopefully.
"...Or not."

Whitney's dreams of expensive and valuable jewelry dashed like ships on the rocks, the team headed toward the small city in the east.

"Thanks," Kasiya beamed, giggling at the fire pony. "You're such a sweetheart," she said, gently stroking Mori's soft fur. "A gift, you say?" Kasiya asked curiously. "What's the occasion? Is it your birthday or something?" She watched the Ponyta prancing around happily, trying to imagine having another Fire-type Pokemon in her party other than Hiro.

"My Pokemon need healing," she said suddenly, remembering that Adamantine and Casimir had both been KO'd during the battle. She motioned for Keegan to follow her inside the Pokemon Center, where she handed the three Pokeballs over to the kind nurse. Now that she had three empty slots, she decided that now would be a good time to put everyone back in order. She took one of her remaining Pokeballs, and let out whoever was inside, which turned out to be Ariel. Happy to have the company of the faithful Vaporeon, Kasiya let her stay out for the time being, while placing her Pokeball in its spot. She knew Hiro was in the right place, which left only Flash, and she knew where to put him. After a few moments, her Pokemon were returned to her, as well as a sense of order, now that each Pokeball rested in its rightful position on her belt.
