Kennedy’s words repeated within his grasp. This was supposed to be his good night, his best night. But Oz could see it scorched into cinders. This was not having a good night at all.
“Somebody help me here! Please!” His cry echoed through the mansion, a building of elegance with walls for princes and marbled décor. But now, those walls that witnessed everything taking place, those same walls painted emptiness and seemed dull as Oz felt alone and abandoned when no one came to his help. Kennedy was strangely still cold. Willow was still out there with that….thing. To his surprise, no magical booms, punches or shouts occurred outside. What kind of fight was going on out there?
“…don’t…Willow…p-p-please…”
“Don’t worry, Kennedy she won’t.” He had to say something to keep Kennedy fighting.
“…st-st-stay….with me…”
“She will, Kenn, but you need to fight this first!” One solid tear quivered about his cheek, loosely dancing toward his chin. “Willow would never leave you, Kennedy…” His words spaced out with a sniffle or two. He said what he had to in order to keep Kennedy alive.
“I love…you…Willow…” Her faint words continued growing thin. Oz was dying with her as he said every word. It killed him inside, knowing he finalized their breakup. It would kill him more if Kennedy died.

Willow glared at the creature. She could feel Kennedy fading, and oddly, didn't feel as terrified as she thought she would. It was over, she knew that now. "You have my word, I will help you in any way. But first, heal my friend. Whatever you've done to her is killing her. It's not right. She is new to her gifts, and does not yet know how to heal herself. Fix her, and we've got a deal. My magicks do not work on whatever it is that you've done."She stepped aside, letting the creature see that it would be welcomed into the mansion.
(( 2 words. Oz, STOIC *CLEARS THROAT* a tear???))
(( Oz feels responsible for all of this. In his mind, she is dying out of love~Magalabuddy)) ((sure but oz could hardly pop out a tear when he left willow that time... just odd is all.))

Phoenix ran to Oz's side, looking at Kennedy. "I don't know what to do here. I'm no freakin' healer, man." She touched the girl's face, then checked her pulse. "Dude...." The look in Phoenix's eyes said it all. This was bad.

“Heal the weak,” he snickered. That was beneath him. Humans were too fragile to even translate. It disgusted him. “The fault of her dying is hers alone!” If anything, he would simply heal the pain by slitting her throat. One less human to worry. But he needed the communicator’s help. He promised his tribal leader that he would get it. He felt like he was degrading himself by even entering the home of such creatures. Even so, Mother Earth needed both his cooperation as well as theirs. He huffed a bit, but quietly walked toward the door.
His low growl was a mere warning to anyone that might think of attacking him as he entered. He was huge. His stature bent over on all fours as he walked toward the girl. She was so useless; he couldn’t even handle a simple translation ritual. He glared at Oz who gripped her tightly as if to never let go. The Gauru glanced at the communicator.
“He must let her go, first. Communicator, tell your comrade to let her go and let me do what is necessary.”

Bewilderment took over as Oz looked at the girl.
“No, no! She’ll be fine!”
She had to be, for Oz’s sanity. For him, Kennedy was drifting not because of spell of the huge monster; she was drifting because of a heart ache. How was he supposed to live with himself know he took part in it?
Oz noticed the creature walking toward him. What now? Did he want Kennedy? Oz gripped the sickly girl as tight as he could. What else was he supposed to do? What else could he do?

Agethia "That may be true...but why HER?! Why Buffy of all people?! You're letting HER take our subject right out from under us?!" Sam couldn't keep angry at him and his reasoning. Someone MUST'VE screwed up. If the test subject WAS mostly human, then they had made a big mistake...
"But alright. We'll discuss HER over dinner tonight. I don't like how you so freely let her come and take our prized possession." Riley smiled grimly and kissed his wife, turned and followed Buffy and Lorne to the jet. He made the call on the way to the jet to have the pilot readying it. After waiting for it to be refueled, they were on their way back to Cleveland.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the mansion, Riley actually helped them carry "Atticus" inside the house. They brought him in, then nearly dropped him as they saw what was in the livingroom with them. They placed him to the far right of the room, in front of the fireplace that wasn't surrounded by a group of people and a Wookie. He took a good look at the work that had been done to the subject. His stomach roiled. To get his mind off it, he stood and looked at the others. Willow... she must have dyed her hair.... and was that Oz? What the hell?
The now-brunette Willow grabbed Oz by the arm, yanking him up. "Let her go for now. The creature will heal her." She looked deeply into his eyes, feeling a flicker of emotion. But in her current state, it was difficult to conjure real feelings for much of anything. "Do what you promised. And then I'm yours. You can use me as you wish, for the time being."
Oz just stared at her. How could Willow do that?
“What are you saying? That monster is going to finish her off. Willow, we can’t let him.” His voice swam with determination as his eyes focused into hers. Was that Willow? A part of him was not so sure. “It can’t be trusted. It probably caused this to happen. Might not have been the only thing, but you can’t be certain.” He finally shook her grip off of him. He would have gone back to Kennedy if the beast was not in between him and her. The beast pointed at him and growled. Oz wasn’t sure what to think.
“See, always quick to judge. That is why we sleep in the shadows and work away from humans in order to aid Mother Earth PROPERLY!” That voice roughly came back with anger. He despised humans on a regular basis, more so when they simply hated what they cannot understand.
Buffy looked down at Atticus. "Well, he is a fast healer," she said to Lorne. "He'll be fine. I've got more important things to do, and Riley... go away. I can't deal with you right now." She turned to Willow and that creature she'd dealt with the other night. "Why are you back here? What is it you want?", she asked it. Without waiting on an answer, she stood as close to Willow as she dared, considering what she looked like, and asked Oz, "What happened to her? And where the hell are her pants?"
CONNOR WOKE UP AROUND 5 AM, CURSING AT THE FACT THAT HE'D FORGOTTEN TO COVER HIS EAST FACING WINDOWS. A RAY OF LIGHT WAS SHINING DIRECTLY INTO HIS EYES. "DAMMIT." HE PERFORMED HIS DAILY ABLUTIONS AND DRESSED, HEADING TO THE KITCHEN FOR BREAKFAST. NO USE TRYING TO GET SLEEP NOW.
Beast. Monster. Thing. It. These are only some of the many labels humans used to justify what they do not understand. They always feared things…different. The Gauru creature had had enough of this. His tolerance for human insubordination toward natural creatures of Mother Earth was now beyond thin; it was ready to break.
He turned toward the young man for a moment. His snout was big enough to bite his head of if he chose to. He cracked open his mouth, just enough to reveal sharp fangs.
“I suggest your comrade be silent, for his own sake.”
Oz widened his eyes as the beast seemed to be ready to snap him into two. He grabbed Willow’s arm. Never had Oz seen a werewolf so ferocious and so enormous. But what scared Oz the most was the fact that this werewolf had control. He knew exactly what he was doing. He did not go into a killing spree. A beast with that much control over a primal rage was not something to take lightly. He gulped his saliva back down his throat. Unfortunately, it was heard.
XANDER WOKE UP WHEN HE FELL OUT OF THE TREE. "OUCH. HOLY BEJEEZUS." HE WONDERED WHERE EXACTLY ANGEL AND DRUSILLA HAD GOTTEN TO, THEN SHRUGGED. NO ONE WAS AROUND, WHICH WAS GOOD. MORE SPYING COULD BE DONE. HE STOOD AND STRETCHED, THEN AS HE FELT THE ACHES AND PAINS, DECIDED HE'D RATHER GO IN. HE WALKED AROUND THE BACK - WHICH TOOK SOME TIME CONSIDERING THE SIZE OF THE HOUSE, AND WALKED INTO THE BACK DOOR, FINDING ANGEL'S SON MAKING SOME FOOD. "COOL- ANY BACON?"
