"Sorry Shino! I didn't realize Ma5tch had such high body temperature! You need to stay away from im from now on. Get away and try using silver windon him!" Z yelled as Shino failed his leech life. "NiNiNi!" Shino yelled and a powerful blast of glittering air shot out of his mouth at Match propelling Shino away as well as doing some damage. "Nice job Shino!" Z yelled with a smirk. Shino kept the blast of air going at the heated pokemon. Match was trying to keep from being blown away by the attack. "Match hurry! While he is attacking counter with ember!" The twin that owned Match said and match opened his eyes once more . "Mag!!" He yelled and small balls of fire shot out of his mouth at Shino. "Shino! Continue using siver wind and use harden!" Z yelled and Shino nodded. The smal bug pokemon began to glow gold and continued to shoot the blast of glittering wind form his mouth at Match. Most of the embers just landed around Shino but some of them hit Shino. His armor protected him just enough so tha the could keep using silver wind without fllinching but he did take some damage from the flames.

Though Tackle hit Togetic wasn't fazed by it. "Use Magical Leaf!" Jimmy shouted. Togetic moved in at Shining who was now off guard and shot several multicolored leaves twards her. They struck and sent her back a bit.
"Ack! Be creative and use Tackle and Sand Attack!" Mag instructed his pokemon leaving it up to her to combine them how she saw fit. Shining jumped into the air but Togetic easily flew to the side. And went in with more Magical Leaves but Shining kicked up some extra dirt on the landing causing them to miss by a mile.

"Amy don't let him hit you. His electric attacks could defeat you in one hit since you are part water type!" Lyn yelled to Amy as the long legged pokem on recovered from its roll. "Eli use another thunderpunch but this time charge your fist earlier so that she can't dodge!" The twin that owned Eli yelled and Eli obeyed. "Buzz!" He yelled as he ran foreward electricty flowing around his fist. "Hurry Amy aim a bubble attack right at his fist to short out the electricty!" Lyn yelled and Amy jumped backwards away from the charging Electabuzz with her mouth open. "Skit!!" She yelled and bubbles shot out of her mouth at Eli's fist. Most of them hit their mark and the area around his fist exploded sending him flying. After about two seconds of moving through the air he regained his footing and skidded to a stop. "Nice try but Eli can stand up to much worse then silly bubbles!" The twin that owned Eli said with a snicker. Lyn growled slightly as she tried to keep her cool. "Again! Use thunderpunch but watch for their attack this time!" Eli's owner said and once more Eli obeyed running at Amy. Lyn tried to come up with a new way to block, dodge or backfire the attack.

"This is bad." Z said to himself watching as both Amy and Shino were being defeated by their respective opponents. Then Z realized thst if Shino and Amy teamed up then they might be able to win. Alone they were easily out matched but maybe they could out teamwork their oponents. That would invlove teaming up with Lyn though, the idea of which does not make Z happy. Z decided to swallow his pride and try it. Z summoned up whatever trace of twinliness he had left and looked at Lyn. She looked back and saw what he wanted through twin telepathy. "Amy use psybeam on Match! Hit him high!" Lyn yelled and Amy looked perplexed for a second but then turne daway from her attacker and shot a beam of purple psychic energy at the pokemon attacking Shino. At the same time Lyn ordered Amy to attack Z ordered Shino as well. "Shino redirect your silver wind at Eli! Hit him in the legs!" Z yelled and just like Amy had Shino looked perplexed but knew that Z must have a plan so he obeyed.

He quickly turned to the pokemon that was attacking Amy and aimed the air at his legs. As Ryu and Ryo's pokemon were doing their respective elemental punches at their respective targets they noticed that they were aiming an attack away from them. Right as each of their punches were about to conect they were very suprise dto be it by attacks from the pokemon that their partner was fighting. They were both sent flying into the wall with a loud thump. "Nice job!" Both Lyn and Z said simultaneously to their respective pokemon. "We ain't done yet!" Ryo and Ryu said punching their fist s outward. Both Eli and Match got back onto the field looking very annoyed with Amy and shino. "uh-oh." Z and Lyn said together,

Kasiya grit her teeth, quickly holding up Digger's Pokeball. A red beam streaked out, calling back the Sandslash before any more harm could be done to him. "You did your best," she nodded, clicking it back onto her belt. Allegra, having sensed the violent nature of the Absol, had scurried up onto Kasiya's shoulder, giving her trainer full use of both her arms. "Let's go, Ariel!" the girl cried, deciding to waste no time as the sleek blue Vaporeon materialized in front of her. "Quick Attack!" Ariel gave an affirmative nod, and dashed into the fray, catching the Absol off guard. The dark Pokemon snarled, signalling it wouldn't happen again as it lashed out with the sharp claws protruding from its paws. Ariel cried out, stumbling a bit as she ran back to her starting position, hoping to keep as much distance from the vicious Pokemon as possible. The Absol's attack had left three deep, painful scratches, stretching from the top of her left shoulder and down to almost her underside.

Shining moved in on the now vulnerably Togetic. It hit it with a strong Tackle. It landed on the ground with a large crash. "Nooooo! Togetic!!!" Jimmy yelled as he picked up his beloved pokemon. "I guess I lost this one. You people with Gym Badges are tougher than you look. Thanks for the fight," he said as he gave Mag a slip of paper with his Pokenav information on it.
"Nice battling." Mag shouted as the kid ran off to the Pokemon Center. He programmed the information and began to move on to Mt. Moon.

"A race?" Jaeshan laughed, watching Ryka pedal ahead of him. "At least gimme a chance!" the boy huffed along, trying to keep up with his friend. He hadn't cycled in a long time, and he smiled, admiring the blonde hair flowing out behind her. I wonder what the Torchic will be like, he thought excitedly, this causing him to pedal faster. He wanted to get to Celadon as quickly as possible. The prospect of a new Pokemon was always invigorating, and he grinned as he remembered the day he caught Nidorino, and the story, rainy morning when he'd captured the naughty little Bellsprout.

(Multiple reasons. I have very bad short term memory and I want to be able to remember how close I am to each level. I am planning to find a way to overcome my lazyness so that I can gain seven levels so I can catch my nest pokemon before I get to Brock because there is little chance of a tiny nincada defeating an onix and it helps me stay focused. If I have no way to track my progress I eventually get bored and keeping track of my posts rids me of that problem.))

"Shino! Get in front of Amy and use harden again!" Z yelled and Shino obeyed. Z hoped that Lyn new what Z was planning. "Amy just like before use psybeam!" Lyn said and inside his mind Z threw a small party. "Sur!" Amy said and she shot out the beam of energy once more at Shino. The smaller bug pokemon shot forward at th two larger pokemon. "Projectile leechlife on the Electabuzz!" Z yelled and Shino aimed himself at Eli with silver wind. "Amy use bubble on him to keep him from charging up on Shino!" Lyn yelled and Amy fired multiple bubbles at the electabuzz soaking it's fur. If it charged up it would cause him just as much damage as it would Shino if not more. When Shino made contact he bit into Eli's shoulder and they continued to move backwards until thye flew right past Ryu and Ryo and into the wall behind them. Shino began to suck out Eli's energy with his fangs. "Match go help Eli! Fire punch!" One of the twins said and Match ran foreward towards Eli and Shino. Lyn and z looke dat erach other an nodded having come up with a plan. "Amy use bubble on the ground between Match and Eli!" Lyn yelled and Amy shot bubbles at the ground making it wet and slippery. "Shino jump off of Eli and move!" Z yelled and Shino let go of Eli. He ran back to Amy.

Mitsu watched Kasiya's battle with keen interest. That Absol was utterly amazing. I wonder how Tate and Liza managed to defeat such a Pokemon. A rock zipped down from above, interupting Mitsu from her train of thought. She let go of the rock with her right hand slowly and reached up and touched her cheek. She could feel the faint trace of a scratch. Gripping onto the rocky surface again Mitsu peered up spotting a Machop tossing a rock up and down in its hand several feet above her. He sent another rock down flying towards the girl. A clear miss.
Disappointed by his failure to hit the trainer he began sending a shower of rock downwards. A few of them hit it's mark causing no real dmage other than annoyance. A large one, however, hit Mitsu's right hand causing her to loose her grip and balance. Lurching forwards Mitsu grabbed onto a protruding rock, not wanting to fall down the mountain side.
Before the mischievous Machop could send another shower of rock Mitsu carefully reached down and touched the small white button on Zyphyr's Pokeball. "Zyphyr! Out!" Mitsu called. A beam of red light shot out of the Greatball and materialized into a Pidgeotto seconds later. Thrilled to have another target the Machop began to throw rocks at Zyphyr as well. Zyphyr squawked, he was clearly not trilled to be out in the heat or annoyed by the small Fighting Pokemon. "Zyphyr use Aerial Ace!" Mitsu instructed making sure to keep her voice strong. Zyphyr glanced at Mitsu as if thinking of what he should do. A moment later the Pokemon shot straight at the Machop, making for a well aimed Quick Attack.

((You don't have to keep track of your posts, that's my job. Don't make it harder on yourself than needed. I do level updates/post count every ten pages, any sooner than that and it would be mostly pointless. Plus, you've been active enough to actually capture your first Pokemon, so whenever you're ready just let me know what you want to catch, and make sure you've read the rules on catching wild Pokemon ^^))
Hearing Mitsu's voice, Kasiya took a split second to glance over at her friend, in time to see her encountering problems of her own. Oh no! she thought desperately as Ariel sparkled lightly, the scratches she'd suffered closing up somewhat. The apple core charm hanging around the Vaporeon's neck had restored some of her health. "I'd forgotten about that," Kasiya nearly chuckled, but grit her teeth, focusing on the battle before her. She called out an order, Ariel happily complied by firing a powerful Aurora Beam at the offending Absol. The attack struck right on, the dark Pokemon flashing with a slight red glow - it's attack had been lowered. Growling viciously, the dark Pokemon thrust its head back and forth, gathering up two gusts of wind - another Razor Wind was headed Ariel's way next turn. Seeing the upcoming attack, Kasiya turned to her Vaporeon. "Acid Armor!" she called, Ariel giving an affirmative nod. The Vaporeon shimmered with a greenish glow, her defenses rising significantly as the Leftovers kicked in again, restoring another small amount of health. The Absol jumped forward, unleashing its Razor Wind attack at the Vaporeon, who braced herself for impact.

"Uh, Diana? Why are you dragging me into this?" Keegan whimpered, watching as Dante stormed outside. "I can buy my own girly clothing, you know!" He became aware of the awkward looks he was now getting from all directions, and he scoffed. "What are you looking at?" he said haughtily, and pulled up his skirt once more before he turned around and stalked back into the change room, fully intent on witnessing this battle Dante had just got himself into. He quickly changed, not bothering to put his cape back on, and came out again, putting the clothes on the counter. "Keep an eye on these, please?" he asked the sales clerk, who meekly nodded. It seemed she was also confused as to what was going on. The boy dashed outside in time to witness the first exchange of attacks.

((Really! Yay!! I am going to get a treecko but not quite yet. Anyway I like numbering my posts. It keeps me interested in rping. Part of the reason I joined this rp is becasue there is a certain amount of posts to level up so you don't start out with a pokemon level 100 like in other rps.))

"Phyra dear being we are going to walk around in a large town I'm sorry but that means your pokéball for now. I'll pull you out as soon as I can I promise" Maven said and made her Ponyta return.
Maven not used of a large city walked around a bit looking at the scenery but still went straight for the contest hall. As Maven walked through the extravagant hall. Along the walls there were many pictures of pokémon and their trainers that have won the Grand Festivals. Sitting behind a desk riffling through papers was the receptionist.
"Um excuse me I'd like to get a contest pass please?"
"Ahh New at this?" She asked in a sweet voice
"Actually yes. Always wanted to go through the contests." Maven smiled as the woman passed her a paper
"You can go and sit over at that table and fill this information out. Then hand it back to me please."
"Thank you."
Maven walked over to the chair and table as she sat down she pulled out a pen that was tied to the table and started filling out all the information.
"Mm Type: Ponyta Name: Phyra. Name: Maven O'Connell" Maven finished it off and handed it back.
"Thank you Sweetie alright here's your box to hold your ribbons ooh a Ponyta we don't get many of those. How's the training going?"
"Very good thank you. She handles everything very well."
"Wonderful can you bring her out for me to see her?"
Maven tossed her Pokéball that held Phyra who came out and stood very still knowing her Trainer we showing her off.
"Very nice you can feel the heat from her flames. Will you look at her coat you take very good care of her." She praised Maven who put Phyra back inside for now
"I try. She likes to get brushed. Gotta take care of my partner in all of this." Maven smiled at the woman and patted her belt that held Phyra
"Can't wait to see her in the next contest also here's your pass you know where to get everything else?"
"Pokéblock case can be found in Celadon the next city correct? The berries can just be found in any store?"
"You got it! Good to see some new people interested in this. Best of luck!" She said with a cheery voice .
Maven exited the Hall and with a huge sigh of relief she let out Phyra again.
"Hey girl we got it! Lets go to the pokémon center and get a hold of mom to let her know I'm sure she's just beside herself we haven't called her when we got here, we got our pass first oh dear...lecture here I come."
Maven and Phyra got to the pokecenter in record timing. Maven allowed Phyra to rest in the shade outside as she went in and called her mother.
"Hey Mom yes I got my pass I know I'm sorry...yes...yes...." Maven put the phone down as she went and got a chair knowing this was going to be a long call.
"I know I'm sorry...yes"

As Shino ran away Match tried to stop his run but the floor was slippery and he continued to slide on towards Eli. "Now! Shino use silver wind to cause Match to spin around!" Z yelled and Shino turned towards Match. "Nin!" He yelled and glittering wind shot out of his mouth at Match. It began to push his arm causing him to spin on the slippery floor. He now looked like a top that was partially on fire spinning towards Eli who couldn't move becasue of the slippery surface. When Match made contact with Eli the hand that was on fire from the fire punch hit causing extra damage. The pain from the hit casued Elactabuzz to charge up as an instinctive defense mechanism. This caused a large explosion sending Match and Eli flying back into the battle field. As the smoke cleared they were lying on top of each other knocked out. "Yes!!" Z and lyn yelled hugging each other. They quickly remembered who they were hugging and let go pretending it had never happened. "They each ran to their pokemon an dhugged them. "Cada!!" Shino said proudly. "Sur!" Amy with a smile huggering her trainer tighter.
