[ .beautifully tragic. ] First off, I was unable to cry during these chapter because I kept being distracted by Ashura-ou's femininity. ;o;
Secondly, unless Fai openly says that he wants to be Yuui from now on, he's gonna stay Fai. A similiar scenario happened in Clover, where a character was first introduced as Ran. Later, though, it was discovered that his birth name was C, but once he obtained a new name, the name he was first introduced with, that's the one he kept for the rest of the series. Chances are, the same will happen with Fai (there have already been some parrallels between Fai and Ran already, actually, since Fai had a twin, Ran was a triplet, and both were in situations were they had to be locked away from the rest of the world.)
Lastly, I think people need to chill out over the Kurogane thing. I highly doubt he's mad at one particular person, chances are, he's mad at all of them, and the overall situation. He's mad at Fei Wong Reid for doing all of this to Fai, to all of them. He's mad at Ashura-ou for putting Fai through this and showing Fai's past to everyone, disregarding Fai's privacy, something we know Kurogane takes seriously. He's mad at Fai for keeping all of this to himself for so long. He's mad at Fay-chan for being there right now. He's mad at the King of Valeria, the people of Valeria, the situation they put Yuui and Fay-chan into, and the situation they are all in now. It's natural for him to be angry. Hell, if I was in his position, I'd be furious. He has every reason to be angry. I don't think he's going to blame Fai for all of this, it's not in his nature, but it's to be expected that all of this would make him angry. This isn't a ship sinker, or something that should worry people. Really, what did you all expect? :/
Also, guys? Hate to be the bearer of bad news but uh... next week is a break. No new chapter. ;o; ... nope i think he's just mad that fay is supposed to kill him.. like, a week ago, or even this morning, i would be agreeing with you wholeheartedly.. but seriously... and i do not think that sword was aimed at ashura... because .. well.. fay is technically a threat to them, and because ashura, so far has done nothing to justify this reaction from kurogane.. and our dear old kuro would not act irrationaly in such a situation... im actually interested to think what is happening in kuro;s mind right now... that would be interesting to see.. and while i do not think that the sword is aimed at ashura, i think that there might be a possibility that he's not just ready to chop fay's head off.. it just doesn't seem like kurogane (surprisingly..) - given by his latest actions and crap. like, we have to remeber what the manga is about-fate, and what clamp loves doing - making their characters defy it we have to remeber card captor sakura: how it was said, at the end, somewhere, that the plan was that sakura fall in love with yuki (yue.. whatever) and he lvoes her back.. but it turned out differently .. because of love.. so you never know.. but again, anything is possible with clamp.. i mean, these last 40 chapters have been so damn depressing ... wow.. it's been 40 something chapters since the change in atmosphere and plot ... that's crazy to think aboyut. although for me, it has been only like .. .2 months.. but wooooooooooow.. man oh man 40 chapters of basically torturing our little fay.. wow.

This latest development actually has a lot of the stuff from previous chapters make much more sense now. Fai angsting over how he likes Kurogane "too much" for example in the vampire arc, and Fai's automatic interest in Kurogane from the very beginning. The way Fai conveniently has a feather to give Syaoran to keep Sakura alive, also, and the way he just wants to die at some points, and gets mad at Kuro for saving him.
Thinking back, there were a lot of unexplained expressions.
I really sincerely hope Kurogane forgives Fai. Like, I'm so sad for him right now. He looks terrified.
However, he's never been afraid of death before. I think he's more afraid of the fact that Kurogane knows now.
And nobody ever mentions it, but God damnit! Poor Mokona! She (/he) really has no idea what's been going on -- to her (/him) it must seem like everyone just all of a sudden went completely emo on her (/him), and now Sakura's gone and Syaoran is passed out and Kuro is pulling his sword on Fai. Poor dear. cry

O.o so that's why Fai looked at Kuro so interestingly when they first met...
OK... looks like Syaoran and Mokona couldn't take it anymore and they passed out confused
;_; Poor Fai... And now Kurogane pulling out his sword... We'll have to wait what happens till next chapter.

Poor dear. cry .. i was under the impression that fay had no idea that he was acting as a chess piece.. i assumed that he didn't remeber these new flashback scenes with asschin... like, about taking the feather, and about kuro and crap.. or maybe it was just about the pawn thing that he did't remeber. oi im just confused.. really really confused. can someone explain that to me? so DID he remeber the fact that he was supposed to go on the journey, and may or may not meet kurogane, and if he did, i remeber after infinity, he asked yuuko that if she knew all of this was going to happen, why she let him go on the journey. since he seemed to be unaware.. but i guess asschin didn't really know either/?? ahh i don't know could someone explain that whole thing to me?? ><

So, that is the second curse. Thank goodness Yuuko got first to Kurogane. But it is a bit sad that she was not able to save Fai and Yuuri as well.
I think Kuro just drawn his sword to protect Syaoran and Mokona and himself as well.
I hope Fai can remember what Sakura once said: 'No one can revive the dead.' He must not turn away from the group. And what the hell is with Ashura? Huh? What does he want?
Lastly, in my opinion, Syaoran fell unconscious because he was not feeling well maybe due to the power he is feeling. If you read the XXX Holic, Watanuki and Syaoran saw each other again.

I've been trying to sort this one out, but I can't come up with anything.
At first I wanted to think that Kurogane's sword was pointing towards Ashura, but now I really don't know.
And, of course the sixteenth has to be a goddamn holiday in Japan.

I think Fai and Kurogane are definitely gonna have to fight it out somewhere along the line.
I don't know if it's just the angst gone to my head... but I think this can only end one way.
For the good of my health, I need to get over the Kurofai pairing because I just have a feeling it's going to end in tears... *sigh*
Clamp better give us something happy. Anything !! Although Kamui TR art was more than welcome. A la la >w< ...::/~*

Oh my God.
I hope Kurogane just broke into Fai's effing angst wall or something because Fai's acting like an idiot. I really want them to resolve whatever's happening quick.
Though that cute little freckled girl made me really interested -- how did Fai make the transition from very emo little boy with inability to smile to perky, happy, unable to STOP smiling Big Kitty? And we still don't know why he trapped Ashura-ou under the water.

And we still don't know why he trapped Ashura-ou under the water. well. i would assume it was that easy of a transition because his smiles were fake. he didnt want to seem too threatening maybe? haha we all hope he hit the angst wall and i dont know, even though, logically anything can happen, kuro's comment at the very end put me at a bit of an ease. yea they're fighting. but if either really meant it, they would have killed the other already. its my wishful thinking. i have to stuff it into a box again.

o.o so that's why Chii was created... at least, in Celes.
AH! There's Miyuki-chan! It has been so long from the last time I saw her! XD
Now Fai is reminding me of Syaoran... when Sakura told him not to be sorry all the time, and to say thanks and smile instead.
WHOA That's the tatoo!!! O.o so it has restraining powers... like black Mokona's earring... So that's why he promised not to use magic... it will grow stronger if he uses it, and he didn't want to kill anybody... ;_;
OK, now I'm hooked o.o Lots of answers have been given now. I think now all should be very clear, now what's next is what I want to know! XD This is so exciting!!!
