ubergeist I don't understand the draw of Skyrays. What do they have going for them? I thought they were basically a buncha hunter missles and a markerlight...

It's still legal. What would give you the idea that the kroot are disappearing? If you look at the boxed army for Tau Empire, a box of kroot comes in it.
Speaking of, is anyone planning on ordering a boxed army?
Or, Have you seen the Tau Empire Teaser on the uk site? What do you guys think of hearing the language for the first time?

I've SEEN what's in one of them Tau Empire army boxes. Our store guys got theirs sent through so they can paint it up as a promo to get people interested. ninja

When I posted some of the Tau pics a few months back,one of them was the cover art for the army box IIRC.
Either way I won't be getting it.I don't likeTau in any way.Even less now they've mucke up the Ethreals and Vespid.
In regards to the Kroot,you see them in the teaser next to the Vespid I think.

I don't mean to insult any of you, but from waht I have seen and heard, most cheaters use Tau.
Is this true?
Of course, my gaming group hates Tau in all ways shapes and forms.

ive just started to use tau, and the only thing i moan about is i dont want to take any dam battle suits, and thats only because every time any looks at my list they ask where they are and tell me i need them. as far as cheating goes i havent known anyone to cheat with any army at my store

Tau don't eed better balistic skill.
My friend was tellingme they are getting Rail rifles back, and they don't need line of sight to hit you.
That sucks. My Roks hate Tau, and the only Tau player I can fight will either make you play a 400 point game against him, with the a force orginization chart, Or he will use subs. And I can;t stand subs, unless its like trying to work something out. Like a Zzap gun is now a lobba becuase you want to play testy it a bit before buying one. that kind of subing is okay. Not a full Tau army. He is a cheater, I think.

so this guy cheats because he hasnt bought the rest of the army. no it just means that he needs to get himself sorted out if he wants to actually play any time

ok does anyone else absolutly love the idea of giving your commander a unit of gun drones in front of him to protect him from fire and close combat?? since the commander is an independant character the oponent cant target him and if you place teh drones right they block or at leawst slow down an oncoming assult and potentially tie up a unit in combat for a while. this is one of my favorit tactics because of the idea that my commander has never kicked the bucket any game were ive done this and he always does alot of damage (usually taking out my friends hive tirant, or a few light tanks). also squads of 4 drones are great for claiming objective late the game with deep strike. my favorit is to disembark the gun drones from my devilfish and place them near my commander as well costing me no extra points when i cant spend for a squad of them. peopel please give me feedback for this tactic

you may not get as many shots but ive always prefered the idea of using shield drones as they will last longer with the 4+ invun
