I've got a question.
Would it be good to use Necromunda models for a Guard army?

There's no problem in that, as long as you use the rules from the 40k system, all is fine. Besides, most Necromunda weapons can easily fit into the Imperial Guard range. Pour example, the auto gun has the same stats as the lasgun IN 40k. Besides, it's not every day someone plays a hive or city borne army of gangers.

Not very Tau is it.It looks more like a Industrial worls that has access to better equipment. The Model is nice but it's an expensive army to make and yo can't have any Tau weapon.
If you wanted a Traitor Gaurd army that have defected to the Tau just use the normal Tau codex.Convert Cadians to have Tau armour.Simple but pricey.

Actually, I emailed GW and they say you can add Tau equipment to the vehicles and troops of the army.

Add yes, use no. That should be obvious or should I just jump up and down like a monkey until someone with more patience comes along to explain it should the point not be understood?

If you want humans with Tau gear, use the CA Gue'vesa entry. Imperial Guard may not use Tau kit instead of their own weapons. Yes, they may carry it, but only as trophies or stand ins of certain weapons.

Actually, GW said you could use it. And in the Tau Gue'vesa entry, they could also use Tau pulse rifles and carbines to an extent.

It says that in the article. And you can use Tau parts to represent imperial weapons. ie fusion blaster, plasme rifle, etc. And probly if you get your opponets consent to use the rules for those weapons you could use them

I personally don't see the point. You have to struggle to cut up two rather awkward kits in order to make one set of models with guns that count as lasguns reguardless... why not just use lasguns? it's way cheaper to just buy the boxed guard. neutral

The point is, Tau weapons are not to be used by the Imperial Guard. GW says, sure, you can use them in squads as stand ins for lasguns and for the Gue'vesa squads whom serve in Tau armies, but not as pulse rifles in a standard Imperial Guard army.

Oh wait, I get it. I see a wall of ignorance, I'll just run my head into it a few dozen times to see if I can get through.

No, you can actually use them as Tau weapons. Because this army is supplied with equipment by the Tau.

And the Gue'vesa actually get to use the carbines and pulse rifles as pulse carbines and pulse rifles.

Please show me these rules you speak of that allow you to use something NOT mentioned anywhere in the codex WITH the codex.
