Well, the new plastics are neat though, can't argue with that! I especially like the cigar chomping Burna Boy head with visor, I've reserved that one for the unit Mek. I also like the new Big Shoota, a large movie-style belt fed chugga with a nice stream of spent shells going out the other side. It's the little things that do it for me personally.

Agreed on the burna cigar face, I used it for a mekboy with a big shoota for my burna/loota unit, made the "ideal" mekboy with a kostum mega blasta (which isn't that blasty anymore xD) and two with big shootas. :B

God I love big meks and mekboys... You can give them so much weird gubbinz! I concider making an entry of the old unit (mekboy bodyguards from 3rd ed ork codex) for aporkalypz. :B

Workin' on some other units for apocalypse as well, feral ork boar boys, looted wagon skwadron, I'm even giving life to the old "Blood Axe Kommando" mob.

Pity that they took the Choppa 4+ rule out of the new codex...
I play orks for winning only a little, and it's still fun!
By the way, can you still loot a Basilisk from the Imperial Guards? Yeah, I looted one so my Boyz didn't git turned into swiss cheese by the blasted Tau cowards I face off and on...or Space Marines...It comes in handy too! I've blown up my friend's Hammerhead multiple times in the past year!
WAAAAGH!!!

You can't loot specific vehicles anymore, instead there is a generic "Looted Vehicle" entry, which represents a generic "looted vehicle."
Do Apocalypse rules give me the ability to stilluse it, or am I just short one looted vehicle now?
((*grumbles about now being able to loot the Baneblade* That would be f'ing awesome.))

A looted baneblade is just a baneblade in apocalypse, a skullhamma is something completely different if that was what you meant by "looted skullhamma". o 3o

Anyways, about looted vehicles, I don't see what people have against them now, I mean, I really don't complain on big blast Str8 AP3, it's the best an ork can get in the way of ordenance (apart form the shokk attack gun).

It's easy to make the looted vehicle look like an imperial vehicle with the rules, like giving it an 'ard case and a boomgun, and some big shootas, and voila, you have a looted Russ! n_n

Just give it a boomgun and a big shoota and you have a basilisk lookin' wagon.

The converting is endless! x3

Fact o' the matter is, I have a looted basilisk in my army now, and it's what my opponents are always trying to destroy before they destroy anything else...Without it, my Orks are sitting ducks as they charge across the battlefield.
((For the record, the majority of my opponents are long-range types aka Tau, so my looted basilisk is the only thing I have that can land a good shot in without getting completely annihilated next turn by a Hammerhead or something with that kind o' firepower.))

Anywho, (this is a few days late) Merry Krismas from Ork Klaws!

Can't loot a Basilisk, but you can still field a Basilisk as a 'counts as' Looted wagon with a Boomgun. AV is the same as the Basilisk, it's still open topped, gun is mostly the same except the maximum range is the Bassie's indirect fire minimum, and it's loses Barrage.

I don't exactly know much (anything) about looting and whatnot, but why can't you loot a Basalisk, I thought they could just loot any Imperial vehicle?

I need more looted vehicles, I don't know if I'm going for the same design as my previous looted wagon, used parts from both a basilisk and a russ with LOTS of plasticard. :B

It really got its own design and I like that. b_b

Pity it's only like a Rhino armour-wise. xD

The rules have been simplified so that the looted vehicle entry now allows for a fixed template of sorts to which you can add upgrades as you see fit. So even if you were to loot a Leman Russ, it would still have weaker armour and weapons than it's original design, due to Ork modifications.

Orky "improvementz" ain't always the best ones to use, but them meks really know how to make them sound louder if anything! >:3

I got urges for some flash gitz in my WAAAGH! as well, but I so won't build them... I can't re-build nobz into ofergubbinzed rich gitz, so I might go to a comissioner for these 'uns, got one in mind too, he's quite expensive, but it is SO worth it when you see his work.

Here's a link to his WIP warboss on a bike, page 3, 4 and 5 contains him.

He also have a nice freeboota hat 101 on the last page.

When I built the Ork Trukk it brought back some happy thoughts of me building my very first Tamiya truck kit, one of a Krupp truck. Oh happy days, I like the new Trukk, the flatbed is just screaming for the addition of a large gun.

I disliked builging the new trukk, so damn many new parts! XD

But it's lovable, a masterpiece from GW!

Question about the Trukk kit: Are the Ork sigils, glyphs, symbols, gubbinz and iconography small, not attached, or nonpresent enough to make it possible to convert it for another army. When I first saw it, a Guard conversion came to mind for a Deuce and a Half and I wanted to talk with someone who had it before ordering one and becoming frustrated.

Most plates and logos come separate, the rest will have to be filed off.
