i know, i'm hoping to get the first turn and to be able to manouvre the fire prism to take it out. the stupid thing is he thinks the fire prisms over-powered for the 500 point game, but the whirlwinds perfectly reasonable stare

in fact, most marine players consider whirlwind to be underpowered, looking from t4 save3+ standpoint... but for eldar it is as deadly as leman russ to marines, for half the cost and without the need for LOS... well, fast-flying your fire prism to a flanking position with line of sight to whirlwind might work, but in such small games every dice roll counts twice, and don't be surprised if it works down to who kills enemy firepower first. lucky glancing hit from tactical squad's missile launcher can spell doom for your expensive fire prism, and save his eldar-pasting whirlwind, thus turning the tide of entire battle.

whirlwinds really can mess up an eldar army. i still need 2 work out a more effective way 2 defeat them than ignore it and hope it goes away. haha

Mobile firepower is the answer, somebody thought of 3 independent vypers? one of them will nail it for sure... and its safer than fireprism (all eggs in one basket).

Van Evok Mobile firepower is the answer, somebody thought of 3 independent vypers? one of them will nail it for sure... and its safer than fireprism (all eggs in one basket). I'm thinking of adding 3 independant vypers and dark reapers now, because my freind kicked up a fuss about "500 points not being a proper battle" also with the dying, thus the holo-feilds and keeping it moving, a fire prism can move 12" and still shoot it's prism cannon, can only have glancing hits scored on it when it's moved over 6" and the opponent rolls 2 dice for the damage table and takes the lowest, rather small chance of a destroyed result on the glancing table with lowest of 2 dice xd

I'd assume it's a more explicit version of "Quoted for Truth." And "The" somehow managed to wriggle through the net of acronym no-nos as well.

Id say "u" werent using your prism right.Q.F.T.M.F.T. by that i mean it attracts 2 much fire, coz it has a reputation where i usually play 2 be powerful so ppl try and focus a lot of fire on it. i usually just take a falcon, still a lot of firepower, but can also get my banshees across the board.

It attracts fire away from the important things. It can really change the game, I have decimated people with my Prism. I love it to death. My biggest problem with Banshees... 'Hi meet Heavy Bolters' Its the big reason I prefer Striking Scorpions over them. Still new to this Eldar thing, trying to see what works best. Enhancing the Banshees with Farseers seems like a win win, but Harlequins look more versatile to me. Anyways, I love my Prism, love love love it.
