"Let me go!" Faust cried, struggling against Mephistophiles' grip. "They're in trouble... they need help..."
"They do need help, but not from you. Imagine how bad they'd all feel if you died... they'd probably lose the fight with that kind of distraction."
"You only want me to stay alive because you're still hoping that I'll become a sinner!" Faust said angrily. "Well, it won't..."
"That's not why. Netsubo likes you, Faust, which means that you're her friend. My circumstances have changed. In a few years, I plan to take a break from demon work for a century or so, and I want Netsubo to marry me."

*netsubo was already on hao's trail. she would kill him the first chance she had. the blood red moon outlined her as she stopped to look around. lataru appeared next to her*"tsume.....are you sure about this?"
*netsubo nodded*"yes...hao's hurt one too many....i wont let him get away this time..."*she looked at lataru*"and you wont get in my way..."*lataru gave a sad nod. the blood was controling her now. there would be no stopping her until Hao was dead*
*hao kept running. he barley noticed that opacho was next to him. he needed to find a place to plan to take out netsubo*

Faust gaped at Mephistophiles. "Marry her?" he asked blankly. "She's fourteen... years.... OLD!!!"
"In... a... few.... YEARS!!" Mephistophiles shouted angrily. "Besides, she wants me. You had to have seen!
"No time to argue about this," said Faust. "Go help her fight Hao! And this time, don't just do a temporary job of defeating him!"
"I don't think she needs help," Mephisto said. "She's quite the woman!"
"If you care about her..."
"Fine! But if someone attacks you without me here, you'll probably die. Beelzebub is coming with me."
"I don't care. Just make sure she has the situation in hand."

Shizuka smirked, appearing about 10 yards in front of Hao. She had hoped that her friend would lead him this way.

"I'm going to go help Netsubo," decided Mephistophiles. "But I'm going to do something for you first."
"Shoot."
"I'm going to kill you," Mephistophiles said after a pause.
"OK," Faust said. "Um... can I ask how this is going to keep me alive?"
"You can't die if you're dead."
"Oh, brilliant, Mephistophiles. I'm so glad you figured that out. Blast away!" Faust said sarcastically.
"Well, temporarily kill you, anyway. Anyone who sees you or tries to find a pulse will be convinced that you're dead... so they won't kill you. If Manta or Shizuka found you, the result could be tragic, but then you'd wake up again, go to the hospital... no harm done."
"But, I won't really be dead, will I?"
"You will," Mephistophiles affirmed. "Just temporarily. It'll be like sleep without dreams. You won't breathe, your heart won't beat, and even your brain will completely shut down."
"I'm not sure I'm all right with that," Faust said anxiously.
"Too bad," Mephistophiles said, snapping his fingers and "killing" Faust. "For your own good," he said, unfolding his wings and flying in the direction that Nestubo, Hao, and Shizuka were.

*she looked around to find him. her senses opened wide. she found him and took off. he wasnt that far. the second she found him she pounced. he hadnt had time to prepare for her and went down fast*"now then..shall we end this game of cat and mouse?"
*hao*"what are you? you cant be human!"
"oh yes i am..."*she said in a pur*"i just have a few unhuman qualities..."*she wrapped her wire around his neck*"now will you try to pull and kill yourself that way, or should i string you from a tree?"

Mephistophiles lighted on a tree branch, watching Netsubo and Hao. It looked like she had the situation under control... now he just had to hope that no one innocently found Faust and buried him. Of course, times weren't like that anymore, but you couldn't be too careful.

*netsubo tightened her grip on the wire. blood was seen around the wire.. lataru noticed mephisto in the tree and flew up to him*"please stop her....dont let her kill him!"*she seemed extremely sad*

Mephistophiles rolled his eyes; he often acted extremely immature when he was annoyed. "Fine, fine... he swooped down from the trees, catching Netsubo from behind and wrapping his arms around her, pinning her arms to her sides.

"Sorry, Sugar. I've got a special request from your ghost that you shouldn't be allowed to kill Hao for human decency's sake. Now, human decency doesn't matter much to me, but it must to you, therefore... I won't let you kill Hao. He's not running back towards where Faust was, is he?"
