After meeting with the Acclamanor Thyme, Overlord Seto steered the fleet through some random systems and stars, making their tracable path quite unreliable, before they finally arrievd in the Mandal system, about (I'm guessing here) seventy parsecs to the northwest of the Cadomai system.

Mandal was the safest place in the Mandalorian Empire. The only people who had knowledge of it were the Council, the local Overlord, and his forces. The Network didn't even know about the far-flung port, though there was no stopping the fact that a hidden base existed. Mandalore the Conquerer and Elladan Kenet had every reason to believe Mandal would be a safe haven for their forces. It's defenses weren't as extensive as Mandalore's, or even Taris's or Onderon's, but the planet and it's surrounding shipyards and the outlying planets had enough shielding, defense platforms, and orbital battlestations to take on an entire third of a sector fleet;it would be hard, and would likely incapacitate the defenses, but it could be done.

There was always a fleet stationed here. There were enough mines, factories, and small military towns to supprot themselves with virtually no trade, so long as their production didn't increase more than the equivilant of ten Canderouses (or compared to a single Pellaeon) in a month. The defense fleet here included:

1 Canderous-class Frigate/Commandship
10 Canderous-class Frigates
10 Kedalbe-class Battleships
15 Aggresor-class Destroyers
1 Wings of Scimitar Assault Bombers
2 Wings of StarViper Attack Platforms
1 Wings of Gladiator Assault Fighters
10 Crusader-class Corvettes

This was the bulk of the entire fleet around the area. The rest of the fleet, mostly pirated Imperial vessels over the decades, patroled the space around the system and maintained the invisible border between them and Cadomai space far to the south. Otherwise, there was nothing else.

The small fleet landed on Mandal the evening of the attack on the Pellaeon. Mandal was an exotic world, similar to most forest worlds; there was mostly forest, a few mountain chains, some large oceans, and a desert-plain. Most of the other planets were habitable as well, though one was a baren rock rich in mineral resources, and too close to the local star for active habitats.

Once the Acclamantor and Seto's shuttle landed, he Overlord assesed their situation with the captain of the ship, Alsa. The man was your typical human in uniform, middle-aged, with a general arrogance.

"Welcome to Mandal, Captain," Seto offered, not sounding the least bit hospitable.

"Thanks," the man replied, stepping off the boarding ram, and onto the cramped walkways of the tiny spaceport. "Couldn't find a bigger spot for us to land, could you?"

"Sorry, but our ports very rarely cater to any ships larger than a frigate."

"Oh well." The man took our a datapad. "The Commander requested that I immediately move our equiptment to whatever facilities you have set aside for us."

The overlord nodded. "We're in the Kedalbe Military base currently. Your base has been set aside farther north, in the dense cave network."

"What do we have to work with?"

"North of the city is the jungle, and in it you'll find some hills and a few caves. The base we've established is inside the caves, beneath the hills and land itself. There's a small shuttle hangar, some barracks, and about 10,000' meters of cavern set aside for your labs and... cloning facilities."

The man frowned, but there musn't much he could complain about. Their success depended on the Mandalorians' good faith.

"How soon will your equiptment be unloaded and set up?" Seto asked.

"We'll be ready to fully move in two days. We'll need another week or two, maybe a month to research everything, and then we can start."

"Any ideas on how long the process should take?"

Also shrugged. "Our initial findings suggest five weeks is good, if we can secure some ysalamiri."

"Ysalamiri? What would you need those lizards for?"

This time Aslo shook his head. "You'll find out. But for all this to work, we need about a thousand ysalamiri and some templates."

Almost an hour after the initial assault by the rebels, Fleet Admrial Alko was ready to resume their schedule. It had taken the most of their time, but now things were ready to recontinue. "Are the engines ready?"

"Yes sir," the captain called from his side, sounding more hopeful than sure. He nodded off to the nearby bridge coordinator, who sent the orders to the engine room. A few moments later, and the dull roar of the main engines came back on. Seconds later, these were joined by the smaller engines and thrusters, which successfully began restabilizing the ship back onto an even plane.

"Well, we have engines," Aklo stated. "Let's see if we can get the lights back on."

These took less time to bring back, but soon power was restored to the bridge, as the many monitors and overhead lights came back on. With the newfound electricity, several of the officers blinked, rubbing their eyes as they adjusted to the light. "We have power admiral."

"Good. Contact the rest of the ships, if you can," he ordered. "I want to know just exactly what the hell happened."

Turning away from the viewport, he ventured to his chambers, and began a missiv to Rear Admiral Borill.

Admiral, things have gone for the worse here at the blockade. Kenet came and hit us with some new weapon. We're still trying to decipher the origins of his attack, but from what we can assess, he got us good.

My carrier is destroyed. The Revenge II, my support craft, one of the Stalwarths, and every last one of my fighters here is annihalated. The Interdictors and my ship's own grav. wells are destroyed, and the Nemesis that came to our aid is reeling.

If the Loyalists can use this weapon to attack our blockade any more like this, they could very well attack any one of our bases, including Bilbringi and Coruscant. Immediately request a declaration of war, and contact Lord Krayt.

" I see. Well, perhaps I could change your mind? " Angel said seductively as she was in the middle of giving a Sith loyalist a lapdance. Fortunately for her, the Sith she and her crew had come aboard was dumb enough to carry vital information on him, so she made it appear she earned his trust and he told her things and convinced his co-conspirators that he sent her over as a little entertainment while he had to go take of something else. " Well... I guess we can enjoy your company for a little while longer. How much did he have to pay you for this anyways? " " 500. " Angel replied. She reached behind her back and undid her top, exposing herself to a very lucky Sith. She stopped suddenly. " Oh crud, I forgot my little... toy... Be right back. " She turned around to the others, giving them a little view of what they hope to soon enjoy. " Don't worry boys, you'll each get a turn. " she said with a wink, just before leaving the room. They men half-huddled, starting to talk about what they'd have their stripper entertainer do when she got back. Suddenly, one of them hushed the rest. " Do you guys hear that? " he asked, looking around for the source of a quiet beeping sound. He soon discovered the top was hiding more than Angel's breasts. " Oh si- " he started, as Angel detonated the bomb from a room over via remote. She looked around and put on the 1st shirt she saw to cover herself before checking the room to make sure they were all taken care of. Leaving nothing to chance, she took the blaster pistol off one of them and shot each one in the head to ensure they were dead. " I gotta find better ways to go about this. " she said, before hitting her comm. " Alright boys, raid the place. "

Link stepped off the Bus and looked about the busy market place. Here sentinent life was a commodity, just as the hutts liked it.
Exotic races from across the galaxy mingled with the all too common indentured species of Huttspace to create a bizarre scene.
It was in essence a massive stockyard and auction for intelligent beings.

It wasnt Link's first time, and it still disgusted him.

He let it pass and focused on what he was here for, the Princess.
The Market was far too large to spend all day looking for someone. He needed a quicker method.
And he knew just where to look.
He began walking towards the central offices of the Bilbousa Slave Markets.

Things were going smoothly at the Bilbousa Slave Markets. The Market Manager, a t'landa Til by the name of Ulgarnal was watching the datascreens of his spacious office as the transfers and exchanges rolled past. To his side stood a pair of Well armed Guard droids, top dollar automatons designed to protect their master against possible slave uprisings. Not that such a thing happened on Nal Hutta, but it never hurt to be prepared.
The creature rumbled in Huttese.

The creature glanced to the door of his office, then did a double take as he noted a blond human male standing where nothing should be standing at all, as though he had materialized there.
Ulgarnal demanded as he stood up from his resting couch and his droids armed their weapon systems.

The young man's cobalt eyes bore into the Hutt, unblinking and emotionless.

The slimy quadruped bristled at the scathing tone of the lowly human's declaration.

The human said disdainfully.
Ulgarnal swallowed nervously.

The man stepped forward, drawing the vibrosword from his belt. Over his shoulder was a wicked looking Gaffi stick, a symbol of the man's profficiency at killing.
The Droids stepped forward.
In an instant one of them was severed in half, the assasin clearing the distance between the droids and him with frightening speed. Maintaining his speed, he cut through the second droid with just as much ease as the previous one.
So many credits down the drain. This assasin had to be top class, perhaps even ranking in the infamous Elite Circle.
The Assasin turned to the Til with cold eyes.
He commanded.
The Til hastened to comply, as if his life depended on it.

Aurora entered the cockpit and stood behind Freya. "We need to go to Theed." she stated. Then she extended a hand towards the two security officers. "I don't believe we met, I'm Aurora Amatruse."

(( Padme: they've been on the ship the whole time. ^_^;; ))

Schaffer and Hauser introduced themselves to Aurora, offering handshakes, as Freya maneuvered the Aldera Ballet as close to Theed as humanly possible.

"Yeah, they're like totally cool!" Freya chirped to Aurora, bringing the ship in for a landing.

Hauser laughed. "I must admit, Lady Starsinger wasn't what I expected." he began. "Very down to ground, and doesn't seem to take Sith from anyone,"

(( I was going to have Hauser say "down to earth", but then, can that really apply in the SW universe? ))

Borill frowned, "Shielded? We've got deflector, partical, and ray shielding if thats what you mean?"

"You'll find out soon enough." Mandalore stated as he turned back to his ship.
"Unless you are departing immediately for Onderon, then I must be on my way. I have a moon to take."

Haldir who had been peeking in from the doorway ever so slightly brought hismelf back and looked upwards."So that stick wasn't just for show, he has skill."he then pondered for a second more."Wait...Assasins Guild? That can't be right..." The twi'lek moved away from the door a ways and tapped his ear-comm."Boss, check the cantina for a man bawling his eyes out and question him. The kid talked to him briefly before abruptly leaving. Now hes claiming hes of the assasin guild and threating the Slaveyard Manager"

"Wait, wait. Whats he doing?"Luger exlcaimed back after going into a more private area of the cantina while scaning around it."Dat jawa never say anything bout tha kid being an assasin." He caught sight of the man in the darkest croner of the place and he stomped on over and grabbed the guy buy the collar and draged him out."Your coming with me buddy." He said followed by the mans begs and pleads to be left alone and not to kill him and whatnot.

Link found what he was looking for: the party that had purchased the Princess from the place's prisoner pens.
Grudo the Hutt, of the Desilijic Kadjic.

"Yet more Hutts." He muttered as he memorized the location. "On this planet it's not suprising."

Link's head snapped up, his eyes spying a slight movement near the doorway.
He narrowed his eyes. What ever was there wasnt there now.
And that was instantly suspicious.
Link took up his sword and turned on the Til, glaring at him to remain silent.
Link stole to the doorframe with all the stealth and speed of a hunting cat and suddenly spun around the corner, his sword pointed at the intruder's eyes.

"Well now...what have we here?" He said, acid in his voice.

Haldir found his hands up and his feet stepping back a few steps."Oi, oi. No harm meant babe."he said stoping once he was a few feet away."I was just walking on by and noticed the door open and some droids destroyed. Is all, swear." he spoke as if the boys manner freigtened him none and had a clam about.

Elsewhere in the city....

The mans back hit the durocrite wall hard as the barrel of the sluglauncher prodded againest his neck."Where did you send that kid you were talking to?!"Luger inquired, cold murder in his eyes."I swear I have no clue where he went!"he man cried out, tears falling down his neck, this must truely be the worse day of his life."WHERE!!?"Luger pushed his question again, rasing the smaller man higher up againest the wall, his hand-shotgun againest the mans jaw."I just asked his help, thats all!", "With what!?", "Just to find this girl that was captured while I was trying to protect her!". Luger droped the poor man to the ground and aimed his gun straight at the mans forehead."Now tell me everyhting."The now terrified man spilled it all, once done he was done Luger holsitered the primative but devesive weapon and turned around and walked out of the alley and down the street tappnig his ear-comm."Hes out recusing a princess from slavers."

Back at the slaveyard....

"Yea, yea..."he said back as he was being held at swordpoint by the kid. The kid was good, but in a strange way he hadn't seen, but Haldir was still an accomplished dueler. But he wasn't here to kill the kid, but this was definiatly their quarry.

It was a twi'lek. Yet another unsurprising turn.
It was Nal Hutta after all, and judging by the cutlery, the sentinent was a vibroblader.
Link's gaze shifted to the twi'lek's ear and then back to the being's eyes, his expression still deadly serious.
"Tell your friend that I dont enjoy people pressing into my buisness. If you enjoy breathing you will turn about right now and mind your own."
Link smoothly slid the blade into it's sheath and turned away, heading for an exit.

Haldir lowered his arms and set them into his pockets and watched as the human went away."Oh, but you are our business babe."He said as his hands slipping to his backpockets."And very good business at that. Now me and my boss are getting good money for finding you, now if you would come along."
