Ki rushed out and watched what would heppen. He knew there was nothing to be done right now. Runa... I will be there for you. Somehow I will be there for you. He thought to himself, and looked toward them again.

Time seemed to stand still shortly for me as I looked back to Ki, "I don't know what will happen if you stay at my side Ki....will you not go to safety if its possible", I asked softly. "I want you at my side but....I don't want to endanger you either". I looked forward again and down at the ground, deep in my heart I knew he wouldn't leave me....he had already said so...but I could promise nothing...except that deep in me even if i'm locked away, my heart will always love him.

Ki looked at her and said, "The worst thing is going to happen to me will happen no matter no matter where I am, so don't worry about me getting away from you. That will hurt me worse." He sighed, and looked felt her love for him, and wondered when he would feel that again.

I nodded and thought loud enough so he could hear it, Thank-you...even if I'm gone and you can't know I love you....its there I promise it never will stop...not for you. I blushed slightly and then looked back up to the plant as it began to move towards me. Always for you... Then in a bright flash it had flung itslef at me and was beginning to enter me through my chest. Dark lights where cast off turning the area around us dark and rays of dark energy were being flung in all directions. I fell to my knees as I gasped and cringed in pain, it hurt extremly bad but not as bad to loose a loved one, I thought of Kang for a moment and then looked back slightly out of the corner of my eyes to Ki. I won't loose another, I thought determinedly. It was a slow process to me and seemed to be taking forever with all the pain it caused, it was only halfway in when I had collapsed.

Ki felt the plant go in Runa, and felt true pain himself. She collapsed, and Ki almost did. But, he could feel too much. As her love and pure spirit was being locked away, Ki's was as well. It was being pulled from Ki's body, but something else started happening...

I let out one cry as my eyes turned from blue to black and my face became as stone with no expression at all upon my face. I felt myself still but I was not in control I was in a white room somewhere and I could hear a voice from outside the room. "This will be your prison, it is similar to the one you have kept me in. Enjoy it, you will be here until I am you long enough so that I won't need the real Runa anymore, then I will kill you, but I want you to suffer first. I am now the real Runa and you...nothing but a memory", the voice called and then laughed. "Wait! No! Let me out! Let me out of here", I begun to cry and beat on the walls, there were no doors or windows here....it was truely a prison within.
The new Runa stood up and looked around calmly with a smirk on her face and breathed deeply the free air that she now knew, she flexed her body happily and looked at the sword at her side with a glowering smile.

Ki saw and felt Runa change, and felt her prison. He was extremely close to being sealed with her, unable to do anything, but the thing that had started occurring within him revealed itself. Everything around Ki went black, and he was alone. Then, to the right appeared a path, and one appeared to the left.
To the right was Runa, in her true self. It seemed to be a live image of her within a white room, and he knew that choosing that path would allow himself to be with Runa again, but his spirit would be locked within her, what would have happened anyway. But, the path to the left had an alternative. There were runes and lights there, no clear image. But, Ki felt that it was a trade-off. His body would disappear in exchange for his spirit to be connected to Runa's, even though she was in the prison within herself. When she would be free, his body would reappear. But, he couldn't be with Runa...
The choice wasn't easy, but Ki knew what had to be done, and there was really only one thing to be done. He took the left path. Suddenly, he was hovering back where his body had been by the lake. Also, Ki felt that he could still be seen by those around him.

Runa looked around and saw a man...or a spirit...something, not that she cared hovering near her and she grinned. I have all your memories Runa, so this is the dearest Ki, hmm, it matters not whether he's near you or not, that prison will hold you in even if he manages to somehow connect with you, you are still to be trapped. Love matters nothing, She said within her mind to the imprisoned Runa. She frowned, but I think I will take you far from this place and your friends just in case. How does the city sound for now, I'm sure theres trouble there to get into, heh heh heh, and ah, how nice teleportation is", she said and then with a flash teleported to the City...you think death is painful, wait until you kill innocent people....your hand will kill them, know that. I sat in the corner my eyes empty and my spirit feeling broken, every word that she spoke cut her deeply and Runa knew that she was doing all this on purpose to get to her. Goodbye....friends....I thought.(((Posting in the city)))

"Runa!!!" Ki called out, then saw the thing that had taken over her teleport away. Runa was deeply in pain. Ki felt that the only way he could still change this world was with magic and emotions, and by communication. He used the first to teleport to where Runa was headed... The city. Seshiro comes to the side of the lake and sits down and stares for a long time at the beautiful water. "It is places like this that are worth fighting for and saving..." Seshiro then begins to meditate and regain some of his lost chi.

As Takara made it to the lakeside, she glanced around seeing several other people around but not the one she was looking for, "Oh Runa where are you?" she cried as she continued running looking for her dear friend.

Takara wasn't paying attention to what was going on around her or above her, all she wanted was to find Runa and get away from everything. She felt that she needed time to heal and to search out her heart for she was very confused at the moment. She continued to run realizing that Runa wasn't anywhere around the lake so she decided to head back to the one place where she felt she had to go and that was back home.
So with that she headed back to the sea of tears to seek out her parents grave and to what she needed.
