Diana sighed as she sat behind the wheel of the Ford Escape she owned. Her eyes glanced over to the file in the passenger seat before she peeled away from the curb at the Shadow Creek Precinct. The government had sent her and her partner Agent Trebolt down to investigate all the gang related issues that seemed to be stemming from the area. And well since she had arrived a couple days before her partner, and had Lyv all settled in and starting the new school, what else did Di have but to start working?

So now the question had been did she go to the club right away and announce herself to those men, or go see what she could get out of the girls that had gotten themselves into county. Looking at the clock on the dash as she stopped at a stop light, Di sipped her coffee. The day was still early, a lot could get done in one day. With a sigh, her hands steered the small SUV into the lot of the Angel's garage. As she parked she grabbed a paper from her bag that would announce the investigation they were a part of, and her coffee before taking a breath and stepping out of the car. She wasn't the same girl she was the last time she had been here. Then she had been a naive child.

Di left the sunglasses on her face and walked up to the club building. She didn't hear noises from the shop, so that told her they weren't there. Knocking on the door she waited until someone opened the door. When someone did, she handed them the folded paper,
"Just a head's up. You boys drew the lucky straw and have the government looking into you."

It had been a few days since Grace had gotten taken in to County, and soon after Lyn heard Cadie had been wheeled in too. Dereck hadn't been spending anytime at home really now. So Lyn hadn't felt bad at all when she had started picking up some extra hours, that included these past few this morning on her day off. And now instead of heading home, she was off to the Soul Reapers clubhouse. She had no idea if Dereck was coming home tonight; in fact she had a good idea he wouldn't. However she didn't care, Lyn wasn't just going to the club to see him after all. She was going to talk to Lucky and Nate. They had to know, Dereck was with them almost 24 hours. Surely they would have seen something, noticed anything. Lyn was doing her best trying to stay calm and talk herself out of believing those photos of Dereck buying drugs and snorting them that Dylan had placed on her windshield while she had been at work. That smile he had given her from his car as she opened the envelope, she wouldn't ever forget.

Parking the car, Lyn grabbed the photos from the passenger seat. She looked at the them one last time before marching in, looking for any detail to be out of order to show her they were fake. As she walked into the clubhouse, she heard Nate and Lucky from the kitchen. She walked right in, threw the pictures on the countertop in front of them and stood with her arms crossed over her chest,
"Tell me these are fake. Tell me Dereck is not on something."

All Lyn knew if they said it was true was that they would all have to work to get him to stop. This short game with Dylan wasn't going to turn into a long game like he had hinted he wanted a few evenings ago. She'd get Dereck to get clean, then Dylan would have nothing told hold over her.

Doom accepted the paperwork and frowned. Great! Just what they needed! The government all up in their business! He glared at the woman.
"We are not a gang. Just a few bikers who hang out together, and happen to work together." He thrust the papers back at her, not caring when it fell on the ground and quickly slammed the door in her face.

He knew they didn't keep anything very damning at the Club. Orion's orders of course. However those of them on parole caught with weapons, whether it was theirs or not would get round up. Doom knew how all this worked. They targeted the weakest link. The one with the most to lose.

He ran into Orion's room, not bothering to knock. Orion was laying on his bed watching TV. He looked at Doom confused why the man would burst in without knocking.
"We got company! They are here to go through all our s**t, you got to get word to the girls to keep quiet. Now is not the time for either of them to slip up. Grace could take two Clubs down if she screws up, best not to say anything."

Orion quickly scooted off the bed, he put his boots back on and grabbed his tee and leather. He pulled them both on and went downstairs to see exactly what was going on. Doom was barging in rooms and alerting the others. Little by little the men exited their rooms and started downstairs. None looked happy, in fact all looked ready to snap.
"Why are we under investigation now?" Orion demanded at once.

Diana took a sip of the black coffee in her hand as the door was slammed shut and the paper thrown back at her from the man that had answered the door. Her head bobbed, 'Yea this is going to be as fun as I thought.' Not that she had expected any to turn themselves over quickly if they truly were up to no good. She'd probably be stuck here at least a year anyway, no matter how quick the investigation went. So why not drag it on? She had all the time, if that's how they wanted to play it.

Di turned away from the door, turning back around at another male voice that had stepped into the now open doorway. She took another sip of her coffee, only taking a single step back towards the door.
"Your friendly government just wants to insure all is as law abiding as it should be in this town. There's been an awful lot of stories recently coming out of here."She pointed to the paper laying at his feet, "There's your friendly notice. I'll be back around later to talk to some of your members, unless now is a better time?"She told him partially turning back to her car. She figured they would want to get their s**t settled here. Get who they needed out of the area. Give her time to work the two girls in County that were affiliated without them getting in there ears. However if Di remembered anything about Grace and Cadie from all those years ago they could handle themselves and knew how things worked around these sorts of things. She only hoped appealing to Grace's maternal side would get her somewhere. The least she could do now was let the bait fly, and see who latched on.

"We don't need your type hanging around and intimidating our customers. Or making us look like criminals. You want to talk to people, provide an address to a meeting place. Other then that, this is a business. I have sll the proper paperwork and went through the proper channels to obtain it all. Legally." Orion stated calmly.
"I know you already dug all that up. That is why....that is here..." He nudged the paper with the toe of his boot. He stared back at the woman.
"What people do you want to speak too? Let's make sure they are alive....or even in the Creek anymore."

Killian stepped up slightly beside, predominantly behind Orion. Orion may be pissed at him but he would not let that interfere with him doing his job. He was the muscle and security of the Club.

Her green eyes looked over the man in the doorway, travelling to the man that had come up to stand behind the first. Her eyes lingered on is form for a moment before they moved back to the first man. "Mr. De La Cruz, if you'd like to arrange a meeting place, that can be done. However to ensure these notices are received and that such a place to meet is agreed upon, you will be seeing my face at your door."Diana stared back at the man with a smile, not flinching from his gaze. Yes his business was as legal as he stated, but what kind of business was it covering up possibly? Once again she pointed to the note on the floor. The names of some men and women that had been last listed to work for him or be apart of his club the Avenging Angels were as follows: Orion DeLaCruz, Moira, Jesse Gallagher, Cole Manheim, Killian McKinley, Brian Baxter, Lincoln Busch, Annalise"Perhaps you should read your mail; there's a list there for you attached to the notice. Get who you can to show up as soon as possible if you want this over quickly. And call your dog off, this is to be a friendly conversation after all. Just to sort out all the crap in this town to make it safe again." Diana turned away from the two men in the doorway, moving to her car and opening the door. She took a drink of her coffee, turning to face the two men again."Let's make the first meeting for tomorrow. Say 10:00 am? At the back room in the Cardinal Diner? Get your men there, ready to speak the truth, and this whole thing will hopefully be over before you even bring your son home. Stand me up, and I'll be right back here banging on your door, shutting down business." Diana ducked herself into her car and shut the door. Perhaps not as smooth as she would have preferred that to go, but it was done. She just had to secure that room now for the meeting. As well as an extra cop or two to stand at the door and help ensure those men didn't come to the meeting packing any heat. Di was no stranger to their kind. But she didn't have time to play that kind of game today. Already minutes clicked by. She might have found a daycare for Lyv, but they weren't open all night either. Her green eyes flitted over to the second man in the doorway once more as she started the car, took a sip of her coffee, then dialed up the local PD to make her requests so that all could be arranged. Sure it might be a little bit of short notice, but Diana knew it would get done that is if they wanted their extra pay from Uncle Sam.

Her vehicle pulled out of the Angel's parking lot and continued down the street and out of Shadow's Creek. She'd figure out tomorrow completely when she got there. Di had been given a complete file of the instances the government was interested in before she had left, as well as a box full of information on everyone involved in those instances. Plus Trebolt should be in town tomorrow. Slowly her car pulled into the County Jail yard, Di had showed her badge to the guards at the front gate as well as to the woman at the front desk. That was before she was escorted to the room she now sat in behind a desk waiting for Ms. Sinclaire-Caine to show.

Orion frowned at the woman. He watched her leave and eventually Moira came out and grabbed the papers. Immediately she begun to read to the paperwork. She would alert the men and make sure they all had something presentable to wear. She made a mental note of which men she had to get ready.

Moira was always the Mother figure about the Club. She would go and meet with the police. She had nothing to hide. Her husband had been the last President, and owned a local hardware store and he was a Contractor. So Moira was left money which she invested. One of the investments was a part owner in the Garage the Club owner, and she had also invested money in a small Used Car dealership.
"Looks like we all have a date with the government tomorrow...." Orion sneered with obvious disgust.

Cadence was lead into the small room. Orange was not her color, she was very much aware of this. She was lead to a seat and left handcuffed. They put a chain about her waist to secure her in the uncomfortable chair. Cadence eyed the woman sitting across from her. She was some sort of government person.

She lifted her hands up, since they were cuffed together and brushed her ponytail back over her hair. She then sat her hands down on the table and stared at the woman.
"I'm not saying s**t without my attorney present, so your wasting your time." She smirked at the woman and turned in her seat.
"Hey! Take me back to my cell!" She yelled. She leaned across the table.
"Besides....I'm a ******** nutjob. Pull my file. You can read all about my mental health problems, and the fact that I haven't been on my meds in weeks." She straightened up and chuckled.
"Hey! Let me out of here!" She called again loudly and smacked her palms on the table roughly.

As the darker haired brunette was sat down in the chair opposite Di, she waved for the guard to leave them. Sitting back in her chair, she listened as the other woman dressed in orange continued to scream. When she seemed to be finished yelling at the guard to come back and get her, Diana spoke to the woman in a bored tone. "Yes, Ms.Sinclaire-Caine, I am well aware of your mental instabilities. All of which I am pretty sure are linked to your brother, am I wrong?" Di waited a few moments, then leaned forward, resting clasped hands on the table."Now Ms. Sinclaire-Caine, I am absolutely sure that this is not the place you want to waste your time, or that of your friend Mrs. De La Cruz. I'm here to offer the two of you shortened time, if you cooperate and are helpful in our investigation. Hell Mrs.De La Cruz may even get home in time to take her baby boy home from the hospital herself."Again the woman paused, letting her words sink into the other woman's brain. Yes she had known Cadie and Grace once upon a time. But now was not the time for nostalgia. She wasn't here for a reunion, she was here on business. Had it been her choice Di wouldn't have returned to Shadow Creek. And certainly wouldn't have looked up those with the Angels. Of course she hadn't exactly left on the best of terms some could say."I'm not going to ask you girls to throw your boys under the bus. But I will need to know any information you do know about the illegal activity here in Shadow Creek. There have been quite a few gang stories being told; I'm here to just straighten it all out. And you and your friend seem to be in almost every story; just like most of the Avenging Angel's members." Diana opened a file, then promptly closed it, her eyes looking up to the camera in the room and making a motion. She slid a business card across the table towards Cadie, "You have a right to wait for your lawyer to be here before we conduct business legally, unless you want to refrain from that right. So think on what I've said; how helpful it may be to your friend Grace. When your are ready to talk, tell the guards to give me a call,Agent Peck-Kochette.I'll be back in a few days to check in." Diana leaned back in her chair again, grabbing the coffee cup and taking a sip of the now cold coffee. She really had to get better at finishing that thing while it was warm. But unless the other woman had anything to say, that concluded this meeting. Di was pretty sure that the meeting with Grace next would go similarly, but she had to hit them both. Cover all the bases and offer them both the easier solution. It was up to them then to take what she offered.

"De La Cruz isn't my friend. You're aware of that if you have my file and read it as you claim. She is family, that is all. As far as the Club goes....you know how it goes. We all stay in our place, and not question our men. They don't tell us anything, and we don't ask. That's what makes a good old lady, not that I am an old lady." Cadie looked over the card a moment and pushed it back across the table.
"I know nothing. Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you s**t. However I don't even run with them. Your information is wrong, I stopped running with that crowd quite some time ago. I'm a good law abiding citizen, just trying to live my life. I am on the straight and narrow. Well....other then allegedly bashing that b***h's face in. Other then that...working and paying my taxes like a good girl." Cadence smiled back at the agent.
"I black out a lot, like I said. Been off my meds for quite some time, and that makes me very loopy and disorientated." She sat back in her chair.
"I am very curious though....whose pocket are you in? I mean...the Angels are heroes to this town. You're from here....you know the MC is about saving the town, and keeping it safe. Always has been, always will be. So I suggest you hop back in your little government issued car and go find some real bad guys. You know....the ones that are trying to destroy the Creek, Greensville and all the surrounding areas. I've already said way too much, but consider that my present to you. Look at ALL the players, not just the obvious ones." Cadence drummed her fingers on the table.
"Now....I am ready to go, unless my attorney will be present for anything else you have to say." She twisted in her seat.
"Oh, it's time for my meds and therapy again. Fun, fun." Her eyes were on the clock now. She completely ignored the other woman. She wanted to tell the other brunette she was a dumb c**t, and looking at the wrong MC but she would be silent. No one ever listened to her, and they definitely were not inclined to listen after being called a c**t.

Grace Marie De La Cruz

Grace had already been locked up for almost a whole week, and the entire time she had made sure to keep to herself. Even when Cadie had to end up fighting someone because they took the mattress from her bed. Now, she wasn't sure what terms she was on with Cadence, but she was extremely relieved that the woman was here with her. Not only because she was still healing from having given birth, but because her mind was so distracted thinking about the baby. Now, she had been left alone because Cadence had been pulled aside to see some visitor, which left her sitting on the bottom bunk in the cell, reading through a book.

The guards had not allowed her to place any phonecalls, so she couldn't even call Orion to see how the baby was doing, or if they were any closer to getting the charges dropped. There was no way she wanted to be locked in here when they released the baby from the hospital. Not to mention Officer Mendez had been paying her visits every now and then, just to pull her aside and let her know how bad life was going to be for her in jail. He would also taunt her saying that Orion was out sleeping around town while she was locked up here, and worrying about everything. It was starting to get to her, which was bad. She was starting to feel like she needed to give up, but at the same time she only had to think of that little baby and she would remember why she needed to fight through every day.

Dereck had not been spending much time with Lyn, and he knew it. He knew it was taking a toll on their relationship, but with everything happening with Grace, and the Irish he wasn't really up for just hanging around with her. It was almost like there was a light lit under his a** to make things right, so he spent countless hours at the club, sleeping there, eating there, showering. Everything. However, he was there when Lyn arrived, because he saw her car pull up outside. Which was odd, because she didn't come around the club very often.

As he made his way into the office, his eyes landed on Lyn, and he curled his lips into a small smile. "Hey, what are you-..." When he looked down at the photos on the desk, his jaw immediately tightened, and his blue eyes shot up to Nate and Lucky. "Give us a minute." When they left the office, he closed the door and moved to grab the pictures, looking through them silently. He wasn't even sure what to say, or how she was going to react. It wasn't like he was happy that he was addicted to ******** cocaine, it was quite the opposite. He hated himself for doing this s**t.

Diana sighed. So it was going to be a long game of ring around the s**t with this girl. Maybe even with the other too."Were you not at the Angle's clubhouse with Jasper Fox the day you were convicted Ms.Sinclaire-Caine? Perhaps you have changed sides, but if you didn't care for those boys, you'd be ratting out everything they have done." Her green eyes flicked over to the movement she saw in the door window, and Di held up a hand to tell the guard to wait."I may be from here, but I didn't come back for pleasure. I was assigned. Now I'm ready to get down to the bottom of all this. However the paper track does not lead where you want it to. So you can help me, or you can sit there and watch everything rot. I know the 'ol'ladies' know more than they let on. Just as easily as I can shorten your time here, I can lengthen it as well Ms. Sinclaire-Caine." The brunette motioned for the guard to come in. As he walked through the door and grabbed Cadie's arm to escort her out, Diana told her,"I'll make sure your lawyer's present for our next meeting. I hope you think about what you will need to say." As the other woman left, Diana sighed and stood. She threw her coffee cup away in the small waste basket in the corner. Then she put Cadie's file away to take out Grace's that was slightly bigger surprisingly. Taking her seat, Di waited for her next victim, Mrs. De La Cruz. Hopefully that one would go better.

Lyn's blue eyes stared across the table at the two men. Willing either one to talk and accusing both. Her eyes closed as she heard Dereck's voice enter the room. Lyn couldn't even be happy at hearing his voice after so long. She hadn't been ready to talk to him yet about this. Wasn't sure even what the hell she was going to say to him. She had just needed to know. She opened her eyes hearing the other two Soul Reapers retreating from the room, and saw Dereck's hand flash out to grab the pictures she had thrown on the table. She looked over to him as he silently swifted through them. "Are these true?"

Was her simple question. What else could she say? That was the answer she had come for, so why not ask the man now that he was here. The silence and the expression on his face gave her her answer even before he spoke. She rubbed a hand over her face, "How..How long have you been using? What are you even on exactly? Those were answers she needed. She had to know how deep this ran with him. And although she could get a good guess from the pictures of what it was, Lyn needed the confirmation. Hoping it was something else.

As they stood, her waiting for an answer, him probably deciding what to tell her, Lyn began to pace a little around the room. Now what would she do? Surely Dylan had shown her those to get her to break up with Dereck or throw the wrench in, or even just to show how much control he had. That damn ******** had had this in his back pocket all along! No wonder he had been so cocky from the start. She had thought she was getting off easy, would be able to end it all quick again. Two encounters with him. One at his cabin where she made dinner, and he had put his hands all over the place, and a second time he had picked her up from work demanding a BJ. And perhaps Lyn had forced this. Demanding that he call the cops and report some thing that cleared Dereck's name after each time. But she hadn't thought... Lyn wouldnt' be able to do anything but pay his taxes to keep Dereck alive now. She stopped her pacing and looked at Dereck, worry clear in her eyes. Almost pleading she said,
"Look, Dereck. I know you've been under alot of stress, but this stuff isn't going to help. We need to get you straight again. Tell me what I can do to help. Do you even know who your supplier is? Lyn didn't know if it would comfort her that he didn't know anything about Dylan's involvement with this, or if she wanted Dereck to know he was behind this. To know the spot he was now putting her in. Although he didn't know she had gone to Dylan in the first place to help clear his name with the whole Tommy thing. They were just sinking farther and farther into this hole now.

"Nope. I happened to stop by the house, Mr. Fox may or may not have been there. I do not recall. I was there looking for someone else, I had a personal matter to discuss with that person. As far as ratting goes...I am no rat. I am not about to suffer for your misguided attempt to bring down innocent men." Cadence paused and bit her lower lip. She had to protect them but she wasn't free to speak. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Finally she shook her head and spoke. The disgust evident in her voice.
"You're a dumb b***h. All of you are morons. Have your heads so far up your asses. Orion and I lost family in the fire. We lost properties. I was admitted to the hospital on two separate occasions, beaten and brutally raped. As did Grace...You think the Angels ordered that s**t? You think Orion would let any other man at his wife?" She leaned in closer to the woman.
"If I were you I would broaden my investigation. Your thinking local boys for local problems. Makes sense....only....the s**t is wide spread. Not just our territory. Our streets are being flooded with drugs and guns. Our families are being hurt, so you tell me why they would be destroying what they built? You tell me how our reach is strong enough to destroy whole towns, but not strong enough to keep the King's Queen from a cell." She sat back and shook her head.
"I have nothing more to say to you. Not with or without my attorney. You are either blind, don't care, or just too damn stupid to see that they're other players in the game. Players that are making their own damn rules."

Cadence didn't struggle, she went with the guard easily. She wanted away from this Agent. She knew the woman would go after the Club. They were easy targets and the only ones she could touch. she wouldn't dig deeper, she would try to close everything as soon as possible. That is what would make her look good, closing everything fast and bringing down the MC. It would get her another shiny gold star and probably a pay bump, meanwhile the real bad guys would be free. free to rape, kill, steal and deal all over.

As soon as she was done with her mandatory visit with the Doctor and shrink she went to the phones. Up until now she had not called a single person. She had not wanted to speak to anyone, she was not sure if she could handle it mentally. She immediately dialed her brother's number though she wanted to talk to Jasper really. She listened to the phone ring, once...twice...a third time and finally an answer. Her brother's voice and for a seconds Cadence blanked out. They had not spoken in months.
"Hey bro, I had a special visitor today. She was just full of questions."
"Oh, really? Questions you could answer?"
"Questions that I have no answers for. Though...I wouldn't be surprised if she put those same questions to your wife."
"Grace has no answers." Orion paused, this was awkward. Talking to his sister when he had believed despised him, but she actions....well they said something completely different.
"Is she okay?" He asked and immediately felt guilty for not asking how his sister was holding up.
"She would be better if she wasn't here." Cadie retorted without thinking.
"I know. I am working on it. For some reason it seems paperwork keeps getting lost of misfiled." Cadie sighed deeply.
"Benjamin Drayton. Go see him, don't let anyone know you have paid him a visit. It won't go over well. Tell him your seeing him because I recommended him. Explain what is going on with Grace's case, and allow him to take it from there. My attorney is a very powerful man, and he does not take s**t from ANYONE." Cadence knew Ben wouldn't be happy with her sending Orion to him, and Jasper would be pissed if he found out Ben was representing her, and now Grace but it was what she had to do.
"How is the baby? Grace is worried sick about him."
"He is good. He is getting stronger each day. Cadie, how much does this Ben guy know....?"
"Ben is on my side. Ben will do what needs to be done." Cadence left out the part that Ben's price wasn't money. His price was Cadence, and her loyalty. The call was interrupted with the alert that announced they had 30 seconds remaining before the call hung up.
"Look after Jasper, he deserves much more respect then you have given him in the past. Send Grace a picture of the baby, and stay out of trouble! Best behavior, go see Benjamin Drayton....!" The call ended and Cadence was immediately filled with sadness. Her heart felt ready to break as she finally accepted the fact that she would never see Jasper again. She would never get to hold or even see her nephew. Her brother and the MC would never welcome her back, not after it was known she was with Ben and his MC. The new MC would not welcome her either, so she would be hated by both and spend the rest of her life pretty much looking over her shoulder.

Once back in the cell, she climbed up on her bunk and laid down. The depression she had been fighting was settling in. She squeezed her eyes closed and forced the tears back. Crying would solve nothing.
