Duke sat crossed legged after I'zale dropped him on the floor. His eyes shined with adenaline that he hadn't previously shone before. He also didn't show it in his voice as he responded to I'zale," Well then. Sibyl is right. We didn't ask for your help...how did you know we were there...?" Duke shook his head,"No. Not important. Why did you come in the first place?"

"Well because no one was here." I'zale said with the air of things being obvious but without being an insult. He was still calm.
"And I took you both because I'm the fastest out of all of us, which tends to be very important in running away. And I'm sure both of you don't know how dangerous the situation was." He crossed the room and casually leaned against the wall, still with that knowing smile and his beautiful but empty blue eyes. "The girl showed abilities to teleport, making her even faster than me, and with a knife that's dangerous. The boy there could fire shots of energy strong enough to kill a Lycan with a direct hit to the chest. Adding in the fact that there was a pureblood Lycan beginning to lose himself and two Fallen Ones. My brother would have retreated in that situation... as much as it would pain him. It's all just playing smart."
The white Lycan reached into his coat and pulled out the same strange sword he had used to slide open the blonde girls back. The handle appeared to be made of some strange metal resembling pewter, roughly cut into its shape with small marks on it resembling the same style of runes that Jaden had cut into his skin, there was no visible guard to it. The blade itself was typical of a longsword, except for the fact that it was transparent. It appeared that the blade was made of glass.
"Now let's consider what would have happened to you." he said, balancing the tip of the blade evenly on the floor and taking his had from it, letting it sit parallel to the wood.
"Sibyl. I feel that assaulting the girl would cause her to instantly appear behind you and slit your throat. Duke. I feel that the moment you would move to help Sibyl the boy would nail you in the chest with some of his invisible energy. If that didn't happen there are other scenarios but the probability of what would happen without my intervention was clear." He snapped his fingers and the blade of his sword sunk into the floor like it was air.

Her wolven form, upon speaking, gracefully leaped to splay out on the couch but in mid air the wolf became a woman once more and she sat on the couch as she patiently listened to I'zale speak. She found herself struggling not to ogle him and examine his beauty until she could recite his exact features and everything that made him. The voice was the worst part because it was harmonic and absolutely beautiful to listen to and had the opposite effect of Jaden's voice. I'zale's voice, unlike Jaden's, was always calm and very tranquil and she found herself really attracted to it and she couldn't help but wonder if it was some form of ancient craft he was using or if there was simply something more than met the eye.
"How is it that one can see such abilities when one has not administered them? Is there a way to learn how or are you simply born with such a gift? Besides, we were there to assist our comrade, the pure blood lycan beginning to lose himself, it was the entire purpose of going. He's making a grave mistake that we should look to correct before it harms Ceon or Jaden. In a time like this division of the pack is the worst thing that could happen."
"That would all depend on whether or not the girl knows how to properly use a knife and how to spill blood. However, these new additions to the city that seem to have come from no where, they sound as though they could be threats if they choose to stand against us. If they have such abilities then I might have to go home and train for a while and immerse myself in the ways of my people so that I might stand more of a chance. My sister knows how to channel such magick but I've yet to learn. Most of us do not learn until we are at least two centuries old."

Duke shrugged, " I know and I understand the danger we were in. Please don't talk down to me in that manner. I have been alive for quite awhile and I understand these things. My understanding comes to halt to your intentions though. Why bother intervening in the first place. Even if you didn't and it meant our deaths, you don't strike me as the type of person to save a person, of any kind, just to be compassionate. Is there a specific reason you saved our butts?"

"I suppose because you could both be extremely useful in this endevor and having both of you active agents on our side would only increase the chances of our success." he said calmly, drifting across the room and seating himself on the arm of couch Sibyl was sprawled across.
"But we all need to work together in this fight. I mean I have no men with me to aid me... or women." He cast his cold gaze upon Sibyl and reached down to stroke her spine slowly with his cold fingers. The temperature in the room seemed even more. "But it may be I acted from compassion. After all I haven't had any legitimate contact in quite some time."

"Extremely useful to what purpose? If you doubt our ability to defend ourselves and be competent I don't understand how it is you'd trust us to perform such a risky operation. Then again, we don't even know what the operation is but I can't see it being simplistic in the least, things like this are never simplistic. What would you have us do? Spy? Be watchouts? Scouts? I honestly cannot see what use we would be to you if we are so helpless." There was a note of irritability to her soft voice though it never rose in volume, it never did.
Upon I'zale stroking her spine she was absolutely shocked by the touch but her heightened senses due to her pheromones overrode the surprise and the wolf growled with pleasure. Her back arched at his dangerous touch and the wolf in her was begging for more while the human side tried to reason that pursuing such a touch was foolish. Her lavender eyes turned amber and her heart beat noticeably accelerated and her breathing heightened as well.
"S-sorry," she apologized immediately. She rose from the couch and situated herself in a chair so that she could calm down before she did something without thinking and possibly regretted it. "I'm very sensitive to being touched so not to be rude but could you please not touch me? It's sort of difficult as it is and with being touched it just makes it all the more troublesome." She was forcing herself not to growl, not to demand he touch her again, not to mount him. Everything was being centered into keeping her control and she moved from the chair to the floor in a cross-legged position where she began meditating.

Duke sighed,"Good. I understand now. Good choice because being a bird for as long as I have been makes a lycan even more sensitive to lies and avoidence." He gave a wry smile at Sibyl as he remembered the details of his brothers arguement with Sibyl long ago.
"Sibyl has a point though. What use are we if we need to be saved. Even if we were in a very...dire situation."

"You both are thinking less of yourselves." I'zale said, it was in an attempt of a pep talk and he sounded like it was legitimate to anyone, but it was because you could be a very good liar when you felt nothing.
"I have no doubt in either of your abilities, I simply have doubt in your abilities facing those sort of opponents." he said calmly. "So you should both be less indignant... especially the girl that doesn't like being touched." His cold gaze drifted over to Sibyl and he actually smiled to his own amusement.
"My dear why don't you enjoy the touch of others? It's not natural for one as beautiful as you not to have anothers touch." He extended his hand to her, unlike his brother his fingers did not bare claws, they were well manicured and slightly tinged with blue like his lips.

Though her eyes were closed as she meditated in attempts to alleviate the torture I'zale was exposing her to, was listening to each and every word his beautiful voice uttered and she found it was a lot easier to listen to him when she couldn't see him and when she was focused. Meditating made his voice less soothing and welcoming and it instead uttered and sounded the purpose of what was at hand as opposed to the small details that distracted her. Now she didn't have those and she could properly focus herself and slowly forget that she'd almost lost herself to a simple touch.
"Perhaps then we should be enlightened as to how to combat such enemies so that for future referrence we aren't caught off guard and we have knowledge of how to deal with such enemies or at least escape them. I mean no indignance, I am grateful that I was saved and I think just as high of myself and have as much faith in myself as my pack does."
Seeing as her eyes were closed she couldn't actually see his beguiling yet cold blue eyes on her, however, she sort of sensed them and her neck hairs instinctively rose. "Touch isn't disliked, it it simply strange ... I don't have a companion and touch, especially right now when I'm in heat, is absolute agony to me." She also did not see his extended hand due to the fact that she had her eyes closed for meditational purposes.

"So you're in heat." I'zale said, a second later and he was in front of Sibyl, his chilled lips less than a centimeter from hers. "I'm terribly sorry Miss Sibyl..." He trailed his fingers slightly just over her hair, yet not touching her. "I know how it must pain you. We had to protect our sister from our own father during her first heat. She was terrified of him finding her."
He was too close to her, he could feel her heart beating... pitty she couldn't feel his. "I could coach both of you on fighting fallen ones... if you so wanted."

She found it odd that I'zale was stating the fact as if he hadn't been able to smell or sense that she was in heat. Then again, if he was as unfeeling as Jaden said then perhaps he hadn't been able to but simply because he could not feel did not mean that he could not smell so it still baffled her and made no sense. "Were you not," she asked with genuine surprise, "able to smell that?"
The moment I'zale approached her and seated himself in front of her with his lips as close to hers as they were, though her eyes were closed she could feel him there and practically trace the outline of him. She concentrated even harder on meditating now, aware that his hand was passing overtop of her hair, so lightly it really couldn't count as touching her but his hands were cold enough it might as well have been a touch in contrast with her extremely warm body.
"I'm sorry about your sister ... Jaden told me that her passing was beyond tragic proportions. I mourn your loss. And I suppose we might as well occupy ourselves while we are waiting for Jaden. It will at least be something productive instead of just sitting here and speaking of a past that's painful for some of us here."

"Oh, I'm sorry." I'zale said, blowing cold air over Sibyls hot lips. "Is it painful for you? I had no idea that stories like that make you upset."
He looked over her body gently, seeming to ignore what she was asking of him. "You're a beautiful species. Are all of your race as perfect as you?" It was strange. The white one had never personally met one of Sibyls species, her race was completely extinct in Europe and Asia, he knew that much.

"Well I certainly feel sorry for the both of you because I can't even begin to imagine my sister going through something of that magnitude ... She lost her mate and she would have perished and stayed there to die bleeding in the snow if I hadn't roused her and forced her to meet up with the rest of our pack."
His lips so close to hers, his breath falling over her lips, she was all too aware of it and her control slipped for a brief moment as she rubbed her nose and cheek against the side of his face then immediately stiffened and her eyes opened. She backed away slightly so that the temptation wasn't staring her directly in the face, closed her eyes to focus again and responded. "Thank you. Jaden and yourself must be of amazing pedigree if you've survived as long as you have. Um ... my sister looks a lot like me but she's taller and she has raven hair instead of autumn hair. But I suppose members of my pack are all physically attractive to humans since that's just part of how they survive."

The white lycan touched his cheek gently where Sibyl had nuzzled him before standing up. "Amazing. A wolf species that actually carries biological attractiveness as a defense against humanity. Perhaps you all have the number Fie bred into you in order to maintain your appearance."
He slid around the room silently, pulling his glass sword from the floor and sheathing it within his coat. "I do wonder. Has your species ever cross bred with another species of similar blood?" She was interesting to him. It was strange that his brother had a creature like this in his pack.

She let out a noticeable relieved breath she'd been holding in to keep herself from doing anything highly inappropriate or unwanted but I'zale's fascination in her species seemed to require him to give a close inspection of some sort before he began hypothesizing and figuring. "The number five? How can a number be bred into someone? I think there's some lack of knowledge I possess here and that I require enlightening to understand your previous statement."
"I am a pure blood though I am certain others of our kind have intermingled within the timeframe we've been here. I don't believe I know of anyone personally, though ..." She wasn't quite sure why he was asking her all these questions since they seemed to pose no relevance to anything Jaden had brought I'zale here for but she decided that they really couldn't do much without Jaden there anyhow.
