( 10 - 7 ) + ( 16 - 10 ) = 9 x 2 (failed counter) = 18
Mareep HP: 4Exactly what ended up happening. Specter snarled when she saw the counter, driving her paw into the ball. Her speed and brute force combined, her claws drilled right into it, and she jerked her hand back, pulling her claws out and leaving the tail as it was.
The orb was pierced right through to the center, being too hard to make a hole that ended on the other side. the area around the hole cracked and broken. No doubt that had to hurt, too - certainly she had struck some kind of nerve in there. She would not leave him time to recover, however. raising her paw again, she lunged at the mareep. She aimed to finish it with a deadly counter, a second dose of Nightslash!

His tail ....he saw the blood as it fell, and the pain almost enough to make him pass out as he barely kept his feet underneath him. The counter-attack had failed ....as his opponent came at him ....with her own.
Mix was a bit shocked.
Afterall, the Mareep was her starter as she shouted.....and screamed.
"USE TACKLE."
Lowering her head, she would aim her attack at the chest of his opponent as she tries to hit him hard and avoid the pain of the incoming attack.

Specter HP: 13Specters eyes popped open wide as she was stopped and thrown back by the tackle, the force of it all knocking the air out of her lungs. She just barely caught herself with her right paw, gasping as she took in deep breaths. The zangoose looked down at her side, coughing and spraying little drops of blood here and there. Damn, that one hurt...now she had to finish it. She wouldn't let him get away with that.
"Without restraint" the Zangoose growled, her tail flicking back and forth as she brought up her left paw. The shadows she had wrapped around it were still there and firm, and she bared her fangs at the Mareep. No, she would not allow him to best her. The Zangoose rushed forwards again, left paw drawn back as she got ready to slash at the mareep, aiming to cut open his throat this time with Nightslash!

Though the Mareep had been underneath those claws once, and he had no plan of letting it happen again as he hit with his should and then turn and started to run. Flicking blood through air fro his nearly destroyed tail as he tries to take off running.
Mix was screaming at the top of her lungs.
"RUN...RUN!"
It was only luck that would determine if he could get out of range fast enough.

The Mareep was fast enough this time, Specters claws hitting the floor instead of its target. The Zangoose huffed, taking in deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. Yes, a short respite was in order...the normal type couched over, using her back legs and her front paws as support. She took deep, heavy breaths, her tail flicking back and forth idly. Her one, single eye, crimson stained from birth, glared at the Mareep, daring him to try and come at her as the darkness that had engulfed her left paw faded away.
Yes, she silently challenged him to get near her. After all, she didn't earn her scars playing paddy-cake.

The move would miss as Mix was saying a silent prayer as the Mareep twist on his hooves to turn back around. His tail was on fire and his brain didn't seem to be able to concentrate as he seemed to freeze when the Zangoose did.
There was a call from over his shoulder ...as it would seem that he was following the directions of his trainer alone.
"She is open, use tackle."
The girl would call out. The Mareep's ears were down as he charged full strength towards that open belly.

Specter HP: 7 The Zangooses eyes opened wide as she saw the mareep come at her. With such speed she'd only end up hurting herself more if she tried to move out of the way. She took a deep breath, bracing herself for the impact. She tried to keep her ground, though the impact from the Mareep knocked her back a few inches, and she coughed once more.
More important than the pain signals her body was giving her, however, was the fact that the Mareep was right next to her. Her eye flicked over to the mareep, looking him in the eye as she brought up her left paw.
It was coated in ice.
She snarled, bringing her paw down on the electric type as if throwing a frozen dagger. She'd make a sheepsicle out of him with Ice Punch!

Though Mix wasn't done, and she saw an opening she wasn't willing to ignore.
"Don't let it go, tackle again."
It was a move that risk her pokemon's life completely. Yet, she wasn't going to back down ...she wasn't going to give up, and since her Mareep was on automatic. She saw no reason not to take advantage as ...the pokemon instead of backing away ...being so close he would simply jump at her again. His shoulder aimed for her stomache as he tries to hit with another tackle.

Tsuki shrugged as he waited to have his Pokemon completely healed. "Just wondering." he said. He wouldn't want to rat out Prof. Barney, even if he sent students out on crazy missions. Besides, the Academy would have a lawyer to get Barney out and it'd make for an awkward class environment to say the least.

Mareep HP: -10 (fatality? Oh dear...)He would jump right into her outstretched paw, Specter using her strength to drive it in further now that he had done her the favor of getting himself hurt with it. It wouldn't take her more than a few seconds to puncture his skin, the fluff on him doing a poor job of keeping her out.
Blood gushed out of the gaping wound she had made on his chest, staining his wool as it dripped and pooled around him. Water mixed in with it as the ice melted, and Specter put her foot on the Mareep (which she now assumed either dead or near it), pushing it back as she pulled her claws out. She was able to successfully dislodge them, and she shook her paw, her opponents blood flying off of it and splattering around her.
Specter seemed otherwise unfazed by the fact that she had probably just killed. Instead, she turned to Ada expectantly, her tail waving idly back and forth. The girl sighed, she had hoped to avoid this sort of ending but in the end it happened anyways. Still, she couldn't take it back now, and she pressed the center of the luxury ball, Specter being engulfed in a dark light as she was called back into the ball.
In her other hand Ada held another ball, staring at Mix intently. She only had the same statement to say as before.
"Ready when you are"

Though the girl wasn't happy ....as she would dash upon the field. Gathering her Mareep in her arm, the pokemon was long gone, but it didn't stop her from screaming. It didnt' stop the begging and the pleading as the blood splashes on her clothing as she picks her up and takes her back to her side of the field where she lay her down gently.
When Mix looked back at them ...there was no happiness there. There was only rage, and she was so pissed it was hard to decide what would happen next ....as she grins at her dangerously.
"You turn to call first."
There was tears running down her face. She was going to kill whatever pokemon came out next.

The machine would ring lightly as the woman gathers the pokeballs in her hand and bring them back to him.
"They are done, is there anything else you need of me?"
The woman would ask.
It was what she was trained to ask, otherwise, she would have simply told Tsuki to bug off.

Ada took in a deep breath. "Fine." she would pay no mind to that killer look on her face. Ada's pokemon may have started it, but Mix was the one who wouldn't drop it. Now they were both too far into this to back out.
Now she wouldn't hold back any longer. she tossed the pokeball she had in her hand up into the air, the ball expanding in mid air as a red light burst out of it. The pokemon that came out would cast a shadow over the battle field, a pokemon unlike what she had shown up until now.
Erion was a huge, huge pokemon. Even for an Aerodactyl, he was big. He would do nothing but stare at Mix from his side of the field, or rather, stare at the Mareep. 'Lunch'. It was a rather morbid thing to think, but he couldn't help himself - he was who he was, and in the wild it worked that way all the time. If it wasn't for the fleece, in fact, he probably would have gone over there and taken it by now. Cotton was horrid, though. It got stuck in your throat and made you choke. He'd rather not have to go through the trouble of removing it.
It had to be creepy, though, the intent stare he gave towards the opponent as he waited for her to call out her next pokemon.

She wouldn't have to wait long as the girl tosses up the pokeball after she had called forth her own. The fire in Mix's eyes were huge as she stood over her fallen, and the red pokeball open to reveal the last sort of pokemon anyone would have expected from her ....as the Yamask appeared in a ball of red. It floated lightly in the air as it would settle next to it's trainer.
"We are killing this one, don't hold back."
She would tell the pokemon as the Yamask would simply nod at her.
There was nothing this time, but a determination to do as much damage as possible, but for now ...she was defending as she put her mask in front of her like a protective shield..

"Dragonbreath" Erion's throat began to rumble, as he glanced back at Ada. Man, she looked way different without her magicians garb...and those eyes. They were dull. It almost gave him chills, she was completely different than she usually was. No! He had to keep his eyes on the opponent, not Ada. His eyes flicked forwards at the ghost, no shame in beating this one up too much....nothing on it to make a meal and it was already dead anyways.
The aerodactyl opened his mouth, a stream of hot blueish fire rushing out at the Yamask. Meanwhile Ada gave Mix a cold, hard stare. "Go ahead and try"
the magician's arms remained at her side, her eyes fixed in position. "I've almost lost him already, I won't again. You want revenge, right? That's it. But keep in mind that killing him off, who has done no wrong other than fighting in my name, will make you no better than I am. You'd be on the same level as the person you hate the most at the moment. A "monster" like me"
Ada grinned, though it didn't seem happy in the least. "But let me guess, thats not it, why...? If you were to kill Erion, would you be so much different than I?"
